Camp WATER FIGHT Event Closed

It was a nice afternoon like the daily prophet had foretold and Alan was currently waiting for a bunch of students to gather. He had put up a sign up sheet and had been surprised by how many students signed up for the water fight, but it only made his excitement grow. He had half the mind to just join them, but he knew someone had to be referee and made sure that the rules were all being followed. He could not have someone use magic or something. He had heard that using magic aside from moments it was necessary would be forbidden throughout the summer camp, like it usually was when students had to go home. Alan truly hoped that they would abide by those rules or he would have to disqualify them.

He had been chatting with Jake and Breana for a bit who both had volunteered to help when he had seen them and asked them to join. Well actually he had seen Breana and asked her to join as an additional hindrance for the players of the game. Jake had agreed to help him a couple days ago when Alan asked him in their tent. He had been a bit unsure at first, doubting whether he was made for a task like this, but after some encouragement the soon to be second year seemed excited to help. Jake was wearing a Paw Patrol cap that he had been wearing for most of the camp already to protect his head from the sunny weather; when during the first days of camp Alan had asked him what a paw patrol was, the badger had explained Alan all there was about the kid show and Alan had Jake promise him to show it to him when he would visit the badger on his birthday.

He could see Breana standing next to a big bucket filled with water balloons; it seemed stationary so she would not be able to carry the amount of water balloons around and no one could steal them from her either. Alan himself was waiting, wearing a loose fitted button up shirt that had the upper buttons opened, revealing a red t-shirt beneath. A pair of suspenders would be a stylish choice to finish the look as they attached to black slacks. His shoes were black sneaker with red threads and shoe laces; that was it for his appearance of the day. Jake was dressed in shorts and was wearing a pair of sandals and to finish it off a nicely illustrated and quite colorful shirt picturing a cartoon bear with big sunglasses and a font that would say "BEE COOL!", quite adorable.

When the students arrived, he had made sure to count them all so that there would not be any late arrivals, he would grin and greet them all. "Hey and welcome t-to the water fight! I will repeat some of th-the rules so everything will be clear, remember if you are hit t-twice you are out. It's quite simple actually, you can use th-those boxes to hide behind-" he would explain and mention towards the eight boxes that were spread out on a circular field. He had marked the area with a white chalk spray to make sure that there was no confusion about the boundaries. "Jake over th-there is handing out th-the water guns and buckets with water balloons, you may choose one of th-those options and have t-to stick with th-that choice during the event," he would add further after giving the students a few seconds to take in the view. "Go ahead and get th-the weapon of choice please so th-that we can start!"

He would watch the students line up to get their equipment, Jake working overzealous and bustling as he handed out the water guns and buckets to the students, making sure that everyone only chose one of the options. All the while looking eager and proud with the important task he had gotten for the day. He looked a little overwhelmed with the amount of attention, acting a little hurried and perhaps clumsy in reaction to that, but overall doing a great job which Alan would have to remind him of once the game was over. A bit of time passed by as everyone got what they needed, a few gazes now directing towards Alan unsure of what to do next. "Okay everyone get into position, th-those with water guns you can just go to Jake if you need th-them to be re-filled with water! Oh and something else, as an additional obstacle Breana will sometimes th-throw some water balloons in the mass of people, so be aware of your surroundings; ready, set, go!" Alan hoped that everyone had understood the game, but it was quite simple so he would not see an issue with it.

Charles did not expect Henry to be here. It made Charles smile, knowing he had a friend here. He might be able to team with Henry. "Nice to see you hear Henry, I did not expect to see a familiar face." Charles followed Henry as he went to grab his weapon of choice. Charles grabbed a bucket of water balloons. Because he had horrible aim. At least with these water balloons he didn't have to worry about aim he just had to throw and hope for the best.

But it will be a bit hard for him since he has to run with a bucket if he's spotted. Out of nowhere water started spraying right before Charles could answer Henrys question. So he followed Henry, doing an awkward run to take cover behind a box. "Yeah teaming sounds good. If we want to get out of here alive." Charles laughed at his own remark. They could not die from water but it sure did have the same intensity if you were running for your life.

"So you have a strategy, my mind is blank right now." Charles smiled at Henry. "Sorry about that, I really need to be more useful in these situations." Charles rubbed his head with his hand and with his other hand held onto his bucket. "This is going to be hard isn't it." Charles sighed.

Excitedly Aurelia sprinted to the place where she was told the water fight would be. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for a nice cooling water fight. She signed up because she loved water fights, but she wasn't sure what to expect at this one. There had been many names on the sign-up. Sighing, she listened to a student explaining the rules and nodded, yes they were quite obvious and simple... survive and don't cheat. She already knew what weapon she would pick. It was obviously the water gun, much superior in its portability and way cooler.

She glanced around, there was mostly Hogwarts students, but she also spotted some from other schools. For a second she thought about cheating- but no, this time she would play fair. Then, she went forward and stood in line for a water gun. Once she received it, she inspected the gun for faults and figured out how to operate it. Next, she headed to the start line and got in position, ready to sprint off. She was already eying one of the boxes, and she had to make sure that she got there first. As soon as the boy said go, she was off. A blur of water gun, and lighting fast student. Her legs carried her fast and she took cover. Hopefully, from her hiding place, she would soon be able to scope her first victim.

Melissa never had a water fight with a big group of people before but she wanted to try so she signed up. She wasn't really sure about it when she got to the place where they said the water fight would take place though. There were a lot of students that were older than her. How can I beat them? Melissa thought. Some of them aren't even from Hogwarts! There was an older boy, probably in his third or fourth year, explaining the rules. When he finished, she went to get her weapon, which was the water gun. She was really good at using them. The older boy then said go and Melissa sprinted with her water gun.

She ran to a box that was pretty far away. Melissa wanted to get as much distance from the others as she could. It wasn't much but a least she could hide a little. Melissa didn't expect to win because many of the other kids teamed up. If Melissa hit one of them, the other would probably hit her back. I honestly should have talked to someone else if they wanted to team up earlier, she thought. There were some kids who were alone just like her though. Maybe she could fight them first...

Eyre didn't miss putting on suncream today, since he knew that he was going to be running around in the sun throwing water balloons at people and potentially getting wet. He went into the game knowing for sure what sort of weapon he wanted. It was the bucket, of course. That was a no-brainer. Eyre knew that he was a lot more strong than he was accurate, so he was going to use that to his advantage

As soon as the boy in the bear shirt was finished with his shpeel, he made his way over to the aformentioned Jake to get his bucket. As soon as the bear boy said go he ran to box 4, noticing exactly how heavy and clunky the bucket was. He probably should've chosen the gun, but he knew that everyone with a gun would regret it when they had to reload.

"Aurelia!" He said with surprise, bumping into the girl that he'd met at the BBQ. "..Do you want to team up? With my bucket and your gun, I'm sure that we could make a good team. I can cover you when you need to reload your gun, and you can cover me when we have to move. Sound good?" He said in a rush, hoping that she'd say yes. If she didn't, well, that wouldn't be a great start for him.
