Antidote For Disaster PV Henry Knight Finished

Henry walked along the halls of the dungeon to the potions classroom, as he looked outside Henry saw the rain pour down followed by the clap of thunder. Henry would have perfer to be reading on that rainy day but their potions professor assign them partner work that include brewing the antidote to common poisons. Henry pushed the door opened a bit which creaked as he stepped inside the classroom to find his friend and partner Altair already there with their cauldron set up.

"Hello Henry, I've got everything set up. Did you bring your potions book by any chance?" Altair greeted him and he smiled to her as he took his potions book from his messager type bag and placed it on the table next to Altair, Henry bit his lip a bit as the panic and nerves started to flood his mind mostly from the fact he hope they would use Altair's potion book because while he took good care if his it was a bit shabby and stained given the fact it was his older brother's originally and his father didn't have enough money to get him all new books so he had to settle for a few second hand things from his older brother.

Henry smiled a bit as he gulped and took off his messager type bag and placed it on the floor by their table. He opened his book to the page they needed and begun to sort their ingredients as he said "Hello Altair, it's nice to s..see you
How have you been?"

"Hello Altair, it's nice to s..see you. How have you been?" asked Henry.
"Good. I hope you've been good too." smiled Altair, "It's been a rainy day today." She saw Henry take out his potions book. She noticed it was as damaged as hers, or maybe even more. She was a bit panicked but took a deep breath, don't judge a book by its cover right? Maybe the inside was nice and neat. She made a mental note in her head to buy a new potions book.
"Okay, let's begin." she opened her book and looked at the first instruction, which was readable at least. "Add one bezoar to the mortar." she read. That shouldn't be too hard. She pulled a mortar close to her and put the bezoar in. She noticed that after the first instruction in her book, the instructions got more and more blotted and unreadable.
"On your book what does the second instruction say? I can't read it in my book." Her eyes strained to decipher the instructions even though she knew she had no hope of reading it.Because you had to be an idiot and drop it in the sink! Who does that? Altair prayed that his instructions were complete and noticed he looked a bit worried too.

Henry begun to sort the ingredients when he heard Altair say "On your book what does the second instruction say? I can't read it in my book." Henry looked at his book and flipped the pages to the steps for the antidote to common poisons. Henry smiled a bit, glad that while Arthur didn't care much about the cover or pages of books for that matter he still tried to keep them in good enough condition to be read. Henry started to explain to Altair the next few steps as he looked up to see her looking at his book, Henry bit his lip for nerves and felt his neck start to become sticky from sweat.

Henry started to take quick breaths as he spoke " it was my brother's, the book. That's why it isn't in the best condition." Henry turned away from her grazed as he thought, that didn't sound like my family is poor right? I don't want her to take pity on his or anything, and were not poor well while some would think were poor were not. I hope she doesn't think that I'm or my family is poor. As Henry had thoughts spiraling around his head, he started to add some ingredients to their potion when he said " why not just use a bezoar then brew a whole potion, since they both do the same thing."

Altair looked at Henry's book and the pages were readable. She smiled in relief.
"It was my brother's, the book. That's why it isn't in the best condition." Henry said. She watched Henry add in the four measures of crushed bezoar and two measures of standard ingredient.
"Why not just use a bezoar then brew a whole potion, since they both do the same thing." said Henry.
Altair shrugged in response, "Potions are weird. Who knows?" she paused, "You know, my family almost didn't have enough money to buy me all these new things to attend Hogwarts. But they had to since no one else in my family is a witch or wizard who could give me old hand me down things." she smiled at Henry, "I'm sure if my brother gets the letter to Hogwarts he would have to get my old things. I really hope he does become a wizard though." she waited a bit to think the next part through, "Would you like to visit Diagon Alley with me when it is Christmas break? I can buy myself a new potions book and replenish my supplies. You can get somethings too. It will be a fun trip."
She let Henry think about it and peered at his book, "Heat to medium temperature for five seconds." she read aloud. She heated up her cauldron as instructed. "Then it looks like you have to wave your wand. Would you like to do that part?"

"Potions are weird. Who knows? You know, my family almost didn't have enough money to buy me all these new things to attend Hogwarts. But they had to since no one else in my family is a witch or wizard who could give me old hand me down things. I'm sure if my brother gets the letter to Hogwarts he would have to get my old things. I really hope he does become a wizard though." Henry paused while working on their potion; antidote to common poisons and grazed up at Altair while smiling he didn't feel as awkward as before but he still felt awkward and a bit worried, so she knows how it's like to be poor maybe I don't need to be embarrassed around her when it comes to money since both of our families don't have much, Henry heard Altair speak again"Would you like to visit Diagon Alley with me when it is Christmas break? I can buy myself a new potions book and replenish my supplies. You can get somethings too. It will be a fun trip."

While Henry thought over her offer, he heard Altair say the next two steps then ask him he would like to do the wand part. Henry peered down at his book and read over the step real quick before taking his out from the inside of his robe pocket and performing the correct incarnation and moment over their cauldron that it said in the book after he saw Altair heat the temperature of their cauldron to medium for a few minutes before returning it back to the regular temperature that it was on. Once Henry was done he placed his wand back into his inside robe pocket then peered at his potions book for the next step when he spoke to Altair " I know how it feels when your family doesn't have much money, while others would say my family is poor I would disagree because I think you don't need money to be happy or have things you value."


Henry smiled at Altair and began to work on the next step as he continued to speak " I hope you brother is a wizard to, it's nice to share the wizarding world with your family. Trust me I know, both my brother and I converse to each other about Hogwarts in private since my twin is a squib and we don't like to mention magic around her, just so we do make her feel uncomfortable or sad." Henry paused for a moment while he cleared his throat because he was nervous before he continued " I would like to join you on a trip to diagon alley but I don't think I'll buy anything, but it will still be a fun trip."

Altair watched Henry take out his wand and do the proper movement. "I know how it feels when your family doesn't have much money, while others would say my family is poor I would disagree because I think you don't need money to be happy or have things you value."
She smiled in agreement, even though her family wasn't exactly rich in money, she knew they were quite wealthy in terms of family and friends. She was happy that Henry understood that, she had met many people before who didn't. Her family could barely afford the expenses needed to send her to Hogwarts.
"I hope your brother is a wizard too, it's nice to share the wizarding world with your family. Trust me I know, both my brother and I converse to each other about Hogwarts in private since my twin is a squib and we don't like to mention magic around her, just so we do make her feel uncomfortable or sad." A squib? I hadn't realized Henry was from a pure-blood family. I guess that would make us total opposites then as I'm muggle-born. But he is much nicer than a lot of people I have met from a pure-blood family. She grinned. I wonder what it is like to grow up in a magical family. Altair noticed Henry was a bit nervous and paused, "I would like to join you on a trip to Diagon Alley but I don't think I'll buy anything, but it will still be a fun trip."
She smiled, "Sounds good! I don't think I will get a lot of things. Will your family be there? I know my parents will, but I'm not sure about my brother." Altair wondered if her aunt would be there, her aunt was a witch and she could talk to her about Hogwarts because she was the only other person in her family who had been there. She imagined how fun it would be for their families to meet. Altair checked the potions book, "Looks like we have to wait forty minutes now before we do anything else." She looked at the clock to see what time it will be done brewing. Altair found a chair and pulled it over and got one for Henry too. She sat down.

"Sounds good! I don't think I will get a lot of things. Will your family be there? I know my parents will, but I'm not sure about my brother." Henry heard Altair say while they were brewing their potion, Henry finished up the step he was doing then peered at the book one last time while he thought about what to say. Would she judge me if I told her the truth or should I just lie? She seems like someone I can trust and we have a few things in common, such as both of us being werewolves and both of our families being poor or not having as much money as the rest. Maybe I should tell her the truth or maybe I should say nothing, ugh what should I do?

Henry took a breath while he cleared his throat from his nerves and worries while he said "I'm sure my older brother and twin will join me, I don't know about my father since he almost always is away on ministry business but it still should be fun. I would like to meet you family, even you brother." Henry smiled at her while he peered back at his potions book to continue to read their steps and to ensure that they haven't missed a step or read a step wrong to ensure that their brewing their potion correct and didn't mess up while they were talking.

"Looks like we have to wait forty minutes now before we do anything else." Henry heard Altair say then pulled over two chairs, Henry nodded to her as he sat down and spoke " so what do you want to talk about while we wait?"

"I'm sure my older brother and twin will join me, I don't know about my father since he almost always is away on ministry business but it still should be fun. I would like to meet your family, even your brother." said Henry.
Altair smiled, it was going to be a fun trip. She remembered her brother had never been to Diagon Alley before. He would enjoy the trip, especially Weasley's Wizard Wheezes as he was into those kind of things. Perhaps she could get a pet too? But she remembered she didn't have enough money to buy one.
"I'm sure my parents would be coming since they don't really travel anywhere. They work on their business at home." she paused, "I would enjoy meeting your family too. I can't imagine how different they must be."
Altair saw Henry sit down on his chair, "So what do you want to talk about while we wait?"
She thought about things for a moment, "How about our family? I'll tell you about mine. My parents are both veterinarians, they take care of animals, even the wild ones. One time they had to help a mountain lion that sprained its paw. Now that I think about it, my family must be really into animals, because my aunt is a witch. She works in the Department for Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures in the Beast Division. What about your dad? Which department does he work in?" asked Altair, it would be a big coincidence if he happened to work in the same department as her aunt.

As Altair told Henry about her family and how her parents were muggle veterinarian's, he couldn't help but smiled as he wonder if she had their same passion for animals. He listened as she continued to tell him that her aunt work for the ministry in the department and regulation for magical creatures and Henry couldn't help but chuckle a bit, her aunt and my father worked in the same department now that is funny, I wonder if they know each other or work closely with each other before I definitely send him a owl to ask him about it later.

Henry then knew he would need to speak so he took a deep breath then shook his left leg as he spoke " that's pretty cool, do you have the same passion for magical creatures and non-magical animals as your parents do? My father also works in the department and regulation of magical creatures in the ministry so some coincidence, right. My older brother recently graduated from Hogwarts and now is in further school working toward to become a auror with the ministry and my twin sister well she is a squib so while she knows about magic she can't actually do any but she is still the bravest and brightest person you ever meet, and that's basically it. I never met any other members of my family since both of my parents were disowned by their families for befriending muggles."
