The Elevator Pitch: Describe your story in 50 words or fewer. Then try again in one sentence.
50 Word Elevator Pitch: Sometimes, one can see things others don't. Perhaps someone notices someone bit nervous, perhaps excited, but Ariadne saw something more sinister. A world where monstrous creatures roam among humans.
Ariadne acted like the monsters don't exist... until one day, she has to embark on a quest to find her half-self.
One Sentence: Ariadne saw mysterious monsters and creatures others usually don't, and one day, insetad of ignoring them, has to find... her other half of herself?
Three Things I Know: Provide three things you absolutely know about your story and three things you haven't figured out yet.
The three things I know about her story is that it is very Greek/Roman mythology inspired with modern elements, it's mostly a complex story about how the monsters (spoiler: in the end, they aren't real) are simply a reflection of human society, and is overall just inspired by the Greek myth figure, Ariadne. The three things I haven't figured out yet is how the plot is going to progress from the beginning to the end where she finds her other self (spoiler: her twin sister), Ariadne's own history and background, and the time period it's set in, though it's relatively modern and likely post-COVID.
The Promise:
Complete the following phrase: "I want this story to make the reader feel intrigued."
Then explain why. This is since the story explores the complexities of the human psyche, and good and bad, making the reader feel conflicted yet empathetic for Ariadne's actions as a whole.
CHALLENGE. Steal This Prompt: Pick one of these 10 elements and incorporate it somehow into your concept.
- A locked door - She has to open a locked door in the end to find her twin missing sister.
- A monster - Yup, the world is filled with monsters!
