Dublin Summer Meet Up!
[font=times new roman]
Date: June 28th
Location: Notice Board
Time: 6:30 am
Status: Open
For whatever reason, Zykeal had woken up that morning and was feeling a sense of pending doom on having to leave the wizarding world behind. Sure, there was the quidditch match and the trip to London to prolong his stay within the magical community, but after that, he'd be back in the slums of Dublin within his old obviously muggle neighborhood. It wasn't something he was excited for, to say the least. A thought had crossed his mind as he got dressed to go down for the morning breakfast, why not see if there were any other students in the castle who felt the same way? Thinking fast, he grabbed a piece of parchment paper and a quill, jotting down a few scribbled words in his subpar handwriting, he'd write up a little flier to see if anyone would want to meet up this summer.
Rushing downstairs then, he figured the small hall would be the best place to put it and he was lucky to have been one of the first people to get down before breakfast, hopefully catching the morning rush where people might see the flier on their way to get some food. Looking at the board, he noticed a few of the other fliers and couldn't find a good spot for his own, annoyance overcame him then and he saw one that seemed a bit out-dated. Taking the pin that stuck that flier out, he slapped his own parchment on top of it and tacked the pin back into the board. A quick glance around to make sure no one had noticed and he smiled to himself, feeling a bit more at ease as he led himself into the great hall for the mornings' breakfast.

Owl me if interested. Tagging those who already sent an owl if they'd like to post here.
Please make sure you can receive owls as well!

Dublin Summer Meet Up!
Miranda was hurrying down the small hall, on her way to the great hall for breakfast. Like usual, her nose was stuck in a book and anyone that passed by was in danger of getting run in to. Old habits died hard, and especially so for her. Back home, the only people for her to run into were her parents and younger brother, and they were all quite adept at getting out of her way. Here, however, it was different. Already, she'd hit four different people on her path from the Ravenclaw dormitories to where she was now.
Suddenly yet another person rammed into her, and Miranda dropped her book onto the stones below. "Sorry," she mumbled, not bothering to look at whoever the person had been, and quickly regathered her book. Shoot, I lost my page, she thought in annoyance.
Still grumbling under her breath, Miranda looked up to find herself facing a wall covered in posters and notifications of all sorts. The page right in front of her was some kind of sign-up sheet on yellowed paper advertising a trip to Dublin after the Summer Camp in London.
Hey, that sounds cool, she thought, studying the page. Miranda fumbled through the pockets sewn into her robes and pulled out a quill that was enchanted to always be inked. She quickly scratched her name onto the parchment, then glanced around and hurried off to get her breakfast.

Leonard was a man of philosophy. It was one of the few things that wasn't science that intertwined effortlessly with it. There were many maxims he had, but one of the most prevalent was to make the journey to breakfast something exciting. This was also one of the most likely to never happen. Even a school that had studying unicorns as a later course couldn't seem to make anything extraordinary happen on the way to class. He woke up earlier than most of his mates in Merlin's, and decided that maybe this could be the day when something interesting actually happened. Hope, a rare emotion for him. This was, as usual, balanced out with a common emotion for him: disappointment. For all the possibilities in theory, in practice, they were all as likely to happen as his neighbour was to win the lottery. Why couldn't there have been any pranksters at Hogwarts? Actually, no, he would like to rebuke that mental statement. If any sort of powers had been given to the mischief-makers he'd met at his muggle school, Hogwarts would've been nothing but a pile of rubble and evidence for a criminal case. But at least the trial would've been fun to watch. Then, something actually happened that caught his eye.A piece of parchment, slightly creased, pinned to the board. And, even better, it wasn't any of the boring ones for Dueling clubs (and by boring, meaning, one he could never participate in due to lack of confidence and general skills other than lying). It was a sign-up for a Dublin summer meet-up. There were only two names and a maximum of five, which was brilliant. Limited social interaction, as well as the convenient excuse of his father needing to head there anyways for a business trip instead of admitting to his loneliness? Count him in.He got a quill and wrote his name, walking away feeling less bored and for the moment, not scared of his mother's reaction. And now he was thinking about his mother's reaction. Too bad he couldn't bring his correction tape.
much to the detriment of leonard oaksworth’s mental health...

Dublin Summer Meet Up!
Lizzie hated mornings. She usually got up right after curfew was lifted so she could go on a run and still have time to shower before breakfast. Except her run only took her a maximum of an hour (she could only run around the castle so many times before she got bored) and then her shower was at most 15 minutes. By the time she was done showering, it was only 7:30ish. Admittedly, that was about when breakfast started, but classes didn't start until 9. Although the redhead ate a lot of food, she didn't take more than an hour to eat.
That's where her problems lay. What did she do in the time between the beginning of breakfast and the beginning of classes? She didn't have too many friends, so it was never worth it to go to the Great Hall right when breakfast started, and there was too little time to take a nap, so she was always stuck wandering around the Gryffindor tower. Occasionally, she would attempt to finish some homework, but doing homework in the morning sucked even more than having an awkward amount of free time. Usually, she ended up sinking into one of the comfy chairs in the common room and spacing out until her stomach yelled at her to eat.
Today was no different. She'd been sitting in the chair so long she was almost lying down in it. Every couple of minutes she'd sunk lower and lower in it. It was almost as comfortable as her bed. Hands down the best chair in the common room. So comfortable she didn't want to get out of it. If she could even do so. She'd sunken into it so much that it seemed nearly impossible to get up from. But she really needed to get up. At least seventeen kids had walked out of the common room, most likely on their way to breakfast, and that was her cue to do the same.
Welp, there went another four kids while she was procrastinating getting up. Yeah, she should really get moving.
With a groan, she pushed herself to her feet and padded out of the common room. You can thank me later, stomach, she thought, imagining how upset her stomach would have been if she'd stayed in that chair for much longer. It had already been growling at her, but it often started to make whale noises after a little while. That would have been interesting.
---
As she walked down the small hall, she took a glance at the bulletin board. Covered in fliers that were at least a year old, she wasn't sure why she even bothered to check it. Rarely was there anything new, or anything that caught her eye. Yet every day she made a point to check it for new posters. Maybe that was the extroverted part of her trying to find more excuses to talk to people. j
That day, though, there was a new poster that caught her eye. Its fresh parchment stood from the others, telling her it had just recently been pinned to the board. At a glance, it looked like your normal club sign up sheet, with a small paragraph at the top probably describing something, and bullet points for people to sign their names. As Lizzie got close enough to read it, though, surprise crept through her.
Someone was organizing a hangout in Dublin! The city she lived in! She couldn't believe her luck. There was no way she wasn't going to sign up. She'd never been to the Winding Stair Bookstore though, but the name sounded familiar as if she'd passed it a couple of times, or people she knew had talked about it. She couldn't place where exactly she'd heard the name though.
Did she have writing utensil to sign her name with, though? As far as she could recall, she didn't, but she checked her pockets and bag anyways.
"Aha!" she exclaimed as she felt her fingers connect with the tell-tale softness of a quill. She triumphantly pulled it out from the depths of her bag and etched her name onto the paper, trying to keep her writing neat enough to be read.
She stuffed the quill back into her bag before rushing into the great hall. Food. She needed food.

Honestly, he hadn't expected anyone to see the parchment or even have signed up for it, to begin with. After having chatted with a few of his fellow students during the breakfast, he had nearly forgotten about it until the end of the morning when everyone was starting to leave. Zykeal would purposely stay late after breakfast had already ended, he gave time for most of the students to leave and possibly see the flier that he had put up in the small hall. Finishing the last of his juice and another large bite of a boxty he had yet to finish, he'd gather his things and stuff the rest of the boxty into the side of the pocket of his robes, a snack for later, he'd make his way towards the entrance of the small hall from the great and turn the corner to see what the board had in store for him.
It took him a moment to find his own flier on the notice board, eyes scanning to see where his scribbled writing was strewed across the parchment that he'd placed up earlier in the morning. Those golden irises stopped upon his masterpiece and he noted that indeed, someone else had noticed his posting. This was surprising, not one, but all of the other spaces were already filled up on the list. A bright smile formed upon his features and he looked over the names that were upon it, not really recognizing any of them, but, also feeling elated for that reason. New faces, that will make things a little awkward at first, but, it could lead to some awesome experiences.
Zyk took a moment to think through, there would only be 5 of them at the moment and he only saw one other boy's name in the mix, Leonard. Obviously he didn't care enough to ask which house they were in, that didn't matter, but he figured maybe an even ratio might be best for a group to easily get along. Pulling out his quill once more, he'd write the number '6' on the page in hopes that a boy would join the group. Another thought pulled at him though, if he added another number, there would be higher chances that another boy would be interested... this logic, of course, was not reasonable but he was already writing the number '7' when he came to the conclusion that this might have been a mistake. Off he went to the owlery, his mom needed to hear the details.

Dublin Summer Meet Up!
Henry was wandering past a few groups of friends laughing and chatting among each other, something Henry both wanted and feared as he made his way into the great hall still clutching the letter that he only moments ago received from his father in the owlery. Henry read it over again as he moved to a side of the great hall as to be sure he wasn't in anyone's way, as Henry read a million thoughts started to form in his head. Why must I, Annabeth, and Arthur go along with you to Dublin not that it will not be nice to visit,
since it will probably be pretty cool to go but still you never took us on your idiotic ministry business before so why start now, I can't wait for that summer camp thing to start up just to get away from you father.
As Henry thought he turned around to spot a flyer that mention a Dublin meet up among Hogwarts students and five others already signed their names, that seems pretty cool and better than spending time with my idiot father, Henry took a quill out from his messager type bag and search around for ink which he found near the bottom of his bag. He popped the top off and dipped his quill in the ink, while after closing his ink and placing it gently in his bag. Henry then looked at the flyer and bit his lip from nerves as he signed his name in the number 6 spot fast but also neat. Henry dropped his quill back into his bag, hopefully I'm not the laughingstock, as he turned to find a spot at the slytherin table.
