Report Your Absence
Hello hello!!
For the few who have kept track (I think there's some anyway..), my lack of presence on this site has been going on for a long time. Until my iNPC Elisei actually got approved to exist, my ongoing roleplays have almost stopped completely. Truth be told, I was busy, but it wasn't the only reason. Corrine Aelina will always be a part of me since she mirrors so much of myself, but to say that she's the best of what I can do as a writer would be a lie. Her existence was out of excitement, and while I've enjoyed my time, writing for her has been more difficult the more time passes. There's TOO much of me in her that I find it hard to write for her
; I don't find her very interesting or fun to write for anymore, and unfortunately, that's what the goal was when I first joined.
Much like my dear wife and friend @Cirrus Mooney with her PC, I'm planning to deactivate Corrine's character as a whole. Instead, I've been working to create a character in the background who I think I'll be having a lot more fun with this point forward. I don't think I'll be able to finish any of the threads with the current people since writing for her is hard, so I won't be making any promises of catching up.
These are the people who are either mildly affected or severely affected by decision to deactivate Corrine:
There are also those who ordered for my shop but I never got around to doing, that one's on me. The shop is naturally closing with me, so I'm sorry for leaving you all hanging. I don't think I'll ever have the time to open a shop again even with my new PC, but if I do, I'll learn how to properly pace myself this time haha. Maybe then I'll learn!
I hope that this message suffices as a heads-up for those who may be affected. I'm still actively working on my new character, and I'm much happier and always eager to yap about her 'til then. Thank you for your patience with me these past few months

@Cirrus Mooney, do I even need to say anything? You have access to my discord and have seen snippets of the progress with my character. We're both looking forward to this <33 it's a good thing we still have elisei and kullervo to write for in the mean time hehe
@Robin Lockett, you still remain to be one of my favorite people on here <33 like cici, you've seen snippets of my progress, and I'm so excited to share them with you. Thank you for letting Corrine be a small part of Robin's life, and I'm so glad to have met you through her
@Paul Turner, I have no clue if you're ever coming back, but I'm sorry we never got to accomplish our plans together for our characters. We were both so excited and I'm ashamed of how I'm not keeping my word, but I genuinely can't write for her anymore. I hope you can understand. If you ever need a way to find a way to make an excuse or a reasonable explanation as to why Corrine is no longer part of your story, please feel free to reach out to my discord
)
@Erast Yan, let me just say, I ADORED what we had planned. Giving Corrine an older brother figure was so exciting for me, and I'm still sad that we never got that far. Still, thank you for giving me a chance, and I hope that one of these days we get to roleplay again!
@Dido Bleaklane and @Angel Dayes, I'm sorry I never got around to fully finishing our roleplay about buying books together. Losing my inspiration to write for Corrine isn't an excuse, but for what it's worth coming from me, I have enjoyed our time together. Like for Paul, if Corrine's absence in your characters' lives ever creates a gaping plot hole, please reach out!
@Alexander Zolotov, we haven't RP'ed in a while, but you were one of my first buddies on here. I just wanted to send appreciation your way
There's definitely plenty others who I've interacted with and made plans with, and it's a shame we never got around to them, but I hope that this gives you all an opportunity to patch over Corrine's existence without too much problem
