FAQ — Questions
Is a re-index required if you change the writing style of your backstory, but do not change major information?
Also, in a case in which I also want to add the fact that her parents' marriage was arranged by their families, which was not present earlier, but nothing was stated about how her parents married each other either, would that require a re-index?

FAQ — Questions
Yep! Anything you change on your backstory that wasn't there when you indexed, you'd have to go through reindexationVivienne Thorne wrote: 7 Oct 2026, 18:16 Is a re-index required if you change the writing style of your backstory, but do not change major information?

FAQ — Questions
For rewording I don't think you need to reindex as long as the information stays the same, but if you are adding something that wasn't there before, then yes I would reindex.Vivienne Thorne wrote: 7 Oct 2026, 18:16 Is a re-index required if you change the writing style of your backstory, but do not change major information?

FAQ — Questions
I can cast a spell outside of class, right?
- How was India?
- India? I'll tell you something. I got up this morning and I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he ever got in my pajamas, I shall never know.
FAQ — Questions
Yes, as long as you have the spell in ur trunk
"An apple a day keeps anyone away if you throw it hard enough!"
FAQ — Questions
Millie's right! Though technically there are a few IC rules - e.g. technically your casting should be related to schoolwork (like practising or using lumos for light when it's dark), and you technically shouldn't be duelling outside of the duelling club. People in-character break those rules all the time (Livia included), just don't get caught by the prefects

I have a couple questions about preptober
1) We edit our posts when we add a week right? Or do we make a new post
2) Are we allowed to post/add another week earlier? Or does it have to be done from the given time

1. Up to you, depends how you want to organise it. IMO, making a new post within your prep thread will be easier for staff when looking through + handing out rewards, but really up to you.
2. If you are speeding through the challenges, it's fine to move ahead. The dates are like benchmarks to make it more manageable.

1) Lol for the first question I was talking about this part, "When you complete a week, post in this thread with a link to your thread."Jessamine Lancaster wrote: 9 Oct 2026, 20:29I could be wrong, BUT:Willow Starch wrote: 9 Oct 2026, 16:30 I have a couple questions about preptober

Honestly Ive been tired and probably overthinking it, but I was asking if we post again in the errand part. If that makes sense. Or do we just edit it?
2) Okay phew that's good! I was going to be out next week and worried about not being able to do the post now. Thank you
