Ivy didn't hesitate to get her hands dirty, and the nervous energy crackling in the audience only added fuel to her competitive fire. By the time Headmaster Emery had wrapped up his speech, the arena had gone from silent to alive with movement. Some students froze at the thought of foraging for prime ingredients in the African wilderness. Ivy, however, sprang to life with a quick efficiency.
She bent down into the Uagadou dirt, searching the muddy roots and dense thickets for fresh Valerian sprigs and juicy mistletoe berries. Round one had been an utter mess- hundreds of students from all schools digging, cutting, shoving through the undergrowth.
As she headed back to her cauldron with her freshly picked bounty, Ivy kept herself distracted from the clamoring noise around her. She measured two drops of Lethe River Water into the metal pot, waited for it to warm, and dropped the sprigs into the mixture. With a well-practiced flick of her wand, she executed three stirrings clockwise, then prepared herself for the brew time. As the stadium roared and she kept her head above the herd of fellow contestants around her, Ivy wiped her dirt-stained hands off on her trousers and grinned serenely at the rest of the field.

Potions Competition
This would be fun! Alemayheu was excited for this competition. He loved potions brewing and searching for ingredients is exactly what he was doing with his mother during his vacation. She had taught him so much about herbs and funghi and where to find them, how to know whether it's good or poisonous. He had to brew the Wound Cleaning Potion, which required Honey, a sprig of Dittany, a sprig of Dried nettles, Leeches, Ginger and Unicorn Horn. Not all of it were plants though, so also he did not fully know where to look for everything exactly but he would definitely find out once he started looking for it. He started looking for the plants. Dittany and nettles should be easy to find, if you knew were you had to look. Also the ginger, maybe. Honey was obvious but not easy to get your hands on with the bees protecting this delicious good. Ale started his way into the wilds and hoped to find at least the easy ingredients quickly. He wondered where to get Unicorn horn. It wasn't that unicorns were around every corner. But probably the organisers have something of it hidden somewhere. He thought it wasn't easy to even get your grasp on it even if you pass your way with a unicorn. But he decided to worry about that later.

But to his shock and quite frankly joy, they were hosting a potion making competition as well. Now Raphael wouldn't consider himself to be competitive in the slightest, but he couldn't help but want to compete and win the prize for the competition. If nothing else, but to just prove to himself that he was a good brewer of potions.
He picked up the instructions left for the contestants in his year group. Reading over it he figured it would be relatively easy. Forgetfulness potions weren't that hard to brew, especially if you knew how the ingredients were meant to interact with each other and how to prevent the potion from going sideways, which he knew ofcourse.
The first step however was to look for the necessary ingredients to brew the potion. Raphael knew the environments they were to grow in, with his mother being a herbologist it was inevitable that he would learn more about plants and their habitats that the average person. He scoured around hunting for the ingredients required to brew the forgetfulness potion, paying no heed to whatever else was happening around him.Stats: sta 06|eva 08| str 00| wis 07| arc 04| acc 10
