Phelan felt the usual twinge of regret whenever he took out an opponent as Dylan went down. He admired his adversary’s efforts, he was certainly a good duelist.
And yet, he had known it was only a matter of time before his luck ran out. Phelan yelped quietly. He felt the lightning in his bones, a shockwave that went through him and left him feeling rather stunned.

Summer Duel: Match 2
Her teammate was down, but thankfully, so were most students on the other team. She herself was doing quite fine, not hit by any lightning yet. Only one left to go. The young witch already knew they would win, of course, but the opposing girl proved to be quite resilient. They would have to finish this eventually.

Summer Duel: Match 2
Doom. That was all that awaited Emmeline now. She felt so helpless, watching as Dylan fell to the ground and they sealed their fate. Sure, the match might not be over yet, but at this point, it was as good as loosing. Alenjandros was also down, but a first year could hardly go up against a second year and a fourth year. Lighting also hit Phelan, but—judging by the way previous rounds went—Emmeline suspected it was the only thing that could currently hit him. Violette had proved to be resilient, still unaffected by anything. Emmeline crouched slightly, more focused on dodging rather than hitting, but raised her wand all the same. If she was going down, she may as well go down with a bang
