After her first week at Hogwarts, Chloe was getting used to the whole castle with all the moving staircases, talking portraits, and ghosts. She was very fascinated with everything around her as she has never seen something like this before in her entire life.
After the first few days, Chloe had successfully learned many new terminology used by wizards. She started reading the Daily Prophet and had gotten used to the magic around her. However, she still only had one friend, whom she met on the Hogwarts express. Chloe really wished to make a few other friends and just get to know everyone around her a little better.
The first week at Hogwarts has been chaotic for her. The castle was in constant movement and change and Chloe nearly lost her way in every single corridor which resulted in her arriving late to almost every single class. Not a good impression to start the year off... she thought. Nevertheless, despite being very confused and curious about her surroundings, she was enjoying Hogwarts. She loved how the whole castle was so enchanted and how the whole place just echoed of magic and wonder.
Out of all the places that she has explored, she liked the library the most. She loved how the library was filled with so many books. In her free time these days, since there was not much homework for the first few lessons for the first years, Chloe had spent her free hours wandering aimlessly around the library and reading anything that seemed peculiarly interesting. She had already finished sections in "Asiatic Anti-Venoms" which she found very intriguing yet a little difficult to comprehend. Chloe had also enjoyed going through her textbooks. She especially liked "A book of spells." She still wasn't very familiar with using her wand but reading about all these spells had really sparked up her interest in trying some of these out.
She often wandered about everything at Hogwarts. Little did she know the Library was just the starting point of something magical that was about to come.

Hi! This one of my first roleplay's so please correct me if I'm doing anything wrong! English isn't my first language so my apologies for any grammar mistakes or bad writing.
Feel free to let me know how you might want to continue this story or if there are new ideas!

The first week of Hogwarts had been chaotic. The castle itself was absolutely gigantic, with so many surprises around every single turn of each corridor. After her lessons were over, Hasianna would try and recall everything new she learnt and hadn't heard of before.

Thus, Hasianna would find herself in the library, since the Ravenclaw common room could get so noisy. She once tried to read in there but gave up, so she discovered the library in all of its glory. There were so many books, some that Hasianna has read and all that she had wanted to read. Her bedside table in her dorm was piled with them too, every date written down so they wouldn't be returned late.
This afternoon, Hasianna was in the library to return a few books, plus borrow some new ones. She deposited them off with the librarian and then proceeded to a few shelves just outside the Restricted Section. She was planning to borrow Notable Magical Names of Our Time to go along with her own copy of Hogwarts: A History, but Hasianna couldn't find it anywhere.
She wandered through every single shelf and squinted up at the highest dusty book but still couldn't spot it. Hasianna kept passing a Gryffindor girl who was sitting and reading, and to her Hasianna must have looked crazy or lost. Hopefully she wouldn't notice...?
After another ten minutes of looking, Hasianna stops and looks around. Maybe she missed a section? Unless...
The book was right where the Gryffindor girl was sitting? That would make more sense. Hasianna takes a few steps towards her, hopefully this girl is nice.
"Hello", She smiles and waves at the Gryffindor, "could I quickly grab a book from the shelf? It's just above your head." She glances down at the book the girl is reading. It has a familiar cover.

Chloe looked up from her book. A Ravenclaw girl stood in front of her.
"Oh yeah sure! Absolutely!" Chloe replied, immediately shifting towards the side so she wouldn't be in way of the girl getting the book.
Chloe looked carefully as the Ravenclaw observed and searched for her book on the higher shelf. What was she reading? Chloe's head bubbled with curiosity since she was looking for some light reading to do. She has realized that apart from observing every person around her she should also read more so she could understand more of this whole new world.
A Ravenclaw. She must be smart and intelligent. I bet she already knows lots of complex stuff. Oh no... I should probably work harder.
The girl looked looked really kind and she was charmingly beautiful. Chloe hasn't made much friends since the start of school and this really could be a good opportunity to strike a conversation. What should I say?
Hi! I'm Chloe. Nice to meet you. What are you reading? How have you liked you classes? No. Too cringe and way too overly enthusiastic.
How about: Hello!. No. That's wierd and sounds way too socially awkward.
Um... Hi what are you looking for? No. What a stupid question she already knows what she's looking for.
After debating for a while in her head. Chloe finally plucked up the courage and said, "Hi I'm Chloe. How about you?"

Hasianna smiled gratefully as the Gryffindor shifted over, and she stepped forward and scanned the books. If the book she was looking for wasn't there, well, that would be embarrassing. The section was a bit higher than she thought, so Hasianna quickly stepped up on the desk table to give her a bit more height.

At least the Gryffindor seemed kind, especially since she hadn't made a fuss about how she was disturbed. Maybe this was an opportunity to make another friend? Hasianna thought as she kept searching, occasionally glancing at the girl. She looked a little bit familiar. Maybe she had seen her in a corridor or at the back of a class.
"Nature's Nobility: A Wizarding Genealogy, Modern Magical History..." Hasianna mutters to herself as she passes over the spines, "aha! Found you!" She plucks her now found book off the shelf and adds it to the growing stack in her hands.
As the girl speaks, she introduces herself as Chloe. Hasianna climbs off the table and looks at her, "Chloe? That's a pretty name." She smiles, "It's nice to meet you. My name is Hasianna."
She places her books on the table between them and asks, "Are you a First Year? I am, and I've enjoyed Hogwarts so much." She smiles, "The library is absolutely huge!"

"Yes I am a first year, I've also enjoyed Hogwarts very much, even though I'm still a little bit confused about everything." Chloe replied. She was very happy that the conversation went smoothly without any awkward silences which Chloe hated. Perhaps this really is the opportunity to make a new friend. She thought.
Chloe took a glance at the large stack of books on the table. "Wow you've read so much!" She was genuinely very impressed by the amount Hasianna was reading. I should read more too, it will help me get to know the place better.
"How are you liking your classes?" Chloe asked.

"I've found charms and transfiguration very interesting. I also like potions, but it's a little difficult and I'm struggling so much with defense against dark arts."
"What subjects are you best at?"Chloe asked.
Chloe shifted a little, waiting for Hasianna's answer. She was genuinely curious to hear about her perspective and experiences especially since she seemed to have spent quite a bit of time exploring the magical world through books, which was similar to herself. Even though, Chloe definitely did not read as much as Hasianna.
There's just so much to learn here. I wonder how long would it take before everything starts to makes sense. She thought, glancing briefly at the large pile of books before shifting her attention back to Hasianna.

Hasianna smiles as Chloe says she is also a first year. She nods, glad that conversation was actually happening. When she comments on the stack of books on the table, Hasianna laughs.

"You think so?" She stares at the books, "I didn't think the stack was that big." She pauses, "then again, I have read a lot before this." It is very true. Hasianna reads way too much, a hobby her father helped her get into as soon as she could crawl around. Her father was and is also a big reader himself, a perk that probably made the probability of being sorted into Ravenclaw a lot higher.
When Chloe asks about classes, Hasianna nods eagerly, "Oh, I am absolutely loving them! So far, Transfiguration is my favourite! The concept of it is so fascinating, especially how it involves some Muggle science. Also History of Magic is interesting. I guess staying up awake is easy because I'm always excited for it." She neatens her books so they line up nicely, "What about you? Are you finding classes good?"
Hasianna listens as Chloe mentions her list of classes she enjoys and also may struggle with, and smiles, "It's totally fine to find some subjects tricky. I can always help you if you need it. I myself find Astronomy a bit tricky even though I do find it fascinating."
When Chloe asks what subjects Hasianna is best at, she thinks for a moment, "Hmm, I would say I'm best at the two I mentioned earlier. Probably because they're things that interest me."
Hasianna looks around at the huge library, and leans against the table. She thinks of a question to ask, and says, "Do you know much about magic? You seem pretty invested in the books here just like I am."
While waiting for an answer, she tries to remember the times she has seen the Gryffindor in the library. Now that she thinks about it, the two have actually been in the library a lot together. They just haven't really spoken.

Chloe listened eagerly as Hasianna explained how she was finding the classes so far. She was very thrilled at the fact that Hasianna has kindly offered her to help her in classes she was struggling.
"Thank you for offering you help! I appreciate it!" Chloe said.
After Chloe heard Hasianna's question she thought for a moment and replied, "I only know about a few basics. I've finished Hogwarts a history to help myself know the place better and I've tried my best to read about areas that don't understand about my classes. I still have so much to learn though. I feel like I can never learn enough about magic."
Chloe glanced around at the all the shelves surrounding them. She wondered, for a second, how many more books was she to read before she could consider herself knowledgeable about the Wizarding world. The thought was both daunting and exciting, and she couldn't help but want to explore more. The thought of having perhaps met Hasianna multiple times without realization. She wondered if she had crossed paths with Hasianna before. Perhaps they have bumped into each other once in the hallways or maybe in classes when Gryffindor and Ravenclaw had periods together. Hogwarts was such a vast place so it was totally possible for them to meet before without anyone realizing it. And that was a fun part of Hogwarts.

Hasianna listens to Chloe talk about her experience with magic. As soon as the book title leaves her mouth, Hasianna's expression brightens almost instantly. She tries to keep her mouth shut, but as soon as Chloe finishes her sentence the words come tumbling out of her. Oh boy.
"You've read Hogwarts: A History!?" She fishes out her own copy, almost knocking over the neat stack of books, "I absolutely adore the book! It was the first major novel and informational text I ever read and it's one of my favourites! I've read it about a billion times! It's written so well and the history is so fascinating and-"
She cuts herself off, realising she is rambling. A lot. "Aha... sorry. I think meeting people who like the same thing as me is both common and uncommon. I've never met another person who enjoys History of Magic."
She smiles again, studying Chloe's expression, "I agree with you though. About how one can never learn enough about magic. Even growing up around magic my whole life, I still have so much to learn about."
Hasianna stacks her book back on the pile and gestures to the book Chloe is reading, "Whatcha reading?"
