When in Toledo...Pretend You Have Family
Dennis was now certain that Toledo was his most favorite place in the whole wide world as they toured the park. The crowds of tourists, the energy, the food, the ease at which he found this strange girl’s presence. It was definitely a way better impression than he thought first arrived there. The culture and the architecture that excited his father and the romance of the city’s winding streets caught his mother’s imagination, but it was really only going to ever be excitement and danger that made it’s impression on the Ravenclaw – this Rina seemed to have all of the above and then some.
With their faces stuff to the brim, the comical pair continued their snacking spree. She helped him by the last of the sweets he could possibly fit in his gullet and they made their way back to the vespa. Dennis seemed to be picking up the same feeling as Rina because he cleared his throat and, linking arms with his new companion, wandered out loud, “I wish we could remember this moment. I don’t want to forget my Toledo friend!” Not that she could really understand him...
His ideas though were not as salient as his desire and they made it back to their ride. “Vroom vroom indeed. Can I drive?” he asked. He thought for a moment and then gestured to himself with a large boyish grin, “Me vroom vroom?” Nothing bad could possibly happen letting this wizard behind the handles of a vespa!

When in Toledo...Pretend You Have Family

Dennis said some stuff. All Rina caught was 'remember' and 'Toledo'. She arched an eyebrow. He really thought he'd be able to forget the most fun he'd had in his life? Dang, guys must either be super forgetful or have super fun lives. Knowing her brother, though, Rina didn't think either was true. Maybe British guys were weird. —No vas a olvidarme.— You won't forget me she said firmly, still smiling. It wasn't so much a command or an affirmation as it was a simple statement of truth. —O mi ciudad,— Or my city she added, making sure to address Toledo. But clearly she was the most interesting thing there. Well, her or the food.
She would attempt to swing their linked arms around as they walked. The influx of delicious food had resulted in a little spring to her step, so she was practically bouncing instead of walking. Still, though, their traipse around the city was coming to an end, and Dennis understood this. Rina was somewhat surprised when he said, 'Me vroom vroom?' – partially because he'd understood her very sad attempt at translating conducir to drive, but also because she'd be very impressed if he could manage to get back to the tavern. —E... ¡claro!— Er... sure!
She wasn't one hundred percent sure she would be able to give directions if Dennis asked. But really, did it matter? Eventually they'd loop around by the sheer power of karma. Or they'd get lost, and she wouldn't have to say goodbye to her friend. Either worked. If the Vespa's owner was bothered, surely they couldn't fault two cute kids just having a little fun.
Thus, Rina gestured to the Vespa, trying to indicate that she'd hop on after Dennis. —Pues, veamos qué tal conduces – quiero decir, vroom vroom. Well, let's see how well you can drive – well, vroom vroom.

When in Toledo...Pretend You Have Family
Dennis couldn’t believe his luck finding such a person in a city that he didn’t know much of anything about. Linked arms and swinging, he forgot all about a certain situation with a certain person and even more so that he even had a family at all. He nodded happily along with whatever her deadpan expression mouthed. He got the impression that if he wanted to hang out more with people in Toledo he was going to actually need to learn to speak Spanish. He wished he knew what she was saying but then again, it wasn’t like there was much time for that.
When they had made their way back to the vespa and he had asked if he could drive, he thought for a moment she would decline. Afterall, that would be the most sensible thing to do but to his utter enjoyment she agreed. Onto the vespa he went, patting the seat behind him, singling for her to get on behind her. When they were both situated, heart fluttering, he said, “Hold on tight!” and gave the hand a sharp twist.
It revved into life and sped down the bump road, causing Dennis to grab the brakes hard! Jerking to a stop, he looked sheepishly behind him before turning the handle slower, this time he felt he got the hang of it. Clearing his voice, he tried again, “As I was saying, hold on tight…” but by this time they were going along at a putter.
Now. Which way to the tavern again? Was it left? No. Right? Yeah! Right it was down road they had never been before. “I think…I might be lost?” he admitted after a few more turns all meeting with the same failure. “Any pointers?”
