What a load of crap! As if it wasn’t annoying enough being in another country where he barely understood anything anyone was saying, but once the kids from Durmstrang had started setting up tents, his friend Nikolai told him he already had a tent. Whatever! Wasn’t it always the three of them: Nikolai, Mikael, and Yefim? Why was he hanging out with the other Quidditch players, instead of them? No respect.

At least Mikael stuck around. The two of them hovered around the rows of tents in a grumpy sort of walk. They needed to clear their heads, and complain a lot, loudly. It was alright, as far as he could tell, no one in stupid London could speak Russian anyway. As for Nikolai, he hoped he could hear their loud griping. So what, they were just going to be two dudes alone in a big tent? Total crap!

Honestly, Yefim wanted to punch something. Well, he at least had the restraint to not attack some rando. After all, he was part of the Quidditch team too, and he wasn’t about to get everyone in trouble just because his friend was being a major tool. Instead, Yefim groaned loudly, looking for any opportunity at all to get back at his twerp of a comrade and teach him a lesson.

”[Yo Mik, I’ve got some explodin’ bonbons, whadda you got? Anythin’?]”

Yefim consulted the boy also dragging his feet next to him as they strolled along looking like a couple of punks. Well, that’s how Yefim looked, Mikael was actually well put together. If he wanted, he could have had a tent with anybody, probably, but he was sticking around Yefim anyway. Now that was a friend!

Yefim was ready for some kind of action. Any excuse really.

Mikael could feel Yefim's anger fuming off of the boy next to him. It had been no surprise when the other was upset after finding out Nikolai had abandoned them again. In all honesty, Mikael was used to it at this point. He and Nikolai were never really close. Yefim had always been the glue that bonded the group together. Mikael didn't hold any close attachments with the other. Yet, Yefim was upset so Mikael decided he was upset as well.

The boy wanted nothing more than to just ignore the other's existence. Though seeing how they both played the same Quidditch position it was difficult. With practices and games, it seemed like Nikolai and himself ran into one another on a near-daily basis. When Yefim had brought Nikolai into their friend group he had been annoyed. Mikael saw Yefim as his chance to let his mask down, and that had been snatched away by an ever lingering Nikolai. To be honest, wearing a friendly mask consistently wore down on one's nerves after a while. It was part of the draw that Yefim seemed to carry. Mikael could be himself around the other. He didn't have to try or put on a fake smile.

Mikael was brought from his thoughts as he heard the other boy groan quite loudly. One brow raised as he turned to look at the other dragging his feet beside him. The boy could see that Yefim was a little downtrodden by the fact that they were seemingly abandoned. He had a slight hunch on what the boy wanted to do to raise his spirits, and Mikael could not help the small smirk that crossed his face.

"I brought a dungbomb." he said his smirk growing. Mikael was starting to like where the other's thoughts were going. Though his expression shifted back to one that was neutral as they passed by a gaggle of students. "So what's your plan?" he asked looking back to the other.

Robin Wakefield

Robin was wandering around, she didn't have anything better to do. Everyone else seemed to be walking around, so she followed suit. If this was any other time of the year, she would be studying. But due to it being the break, what would be the point? She would just forget whatever she had studied, and there aren't any pop quizzes any time soon. Robin let out an annoyed sigh while pulling her hair into a ponytail, wanting to get her bangs out of her face. She was already questioning why she even bothered to do this. Normally she wouldn't even think about going, but when the opportunity came she took it. Maybe it was the influence of her extroverted parents, their excitable personalities rubbing off on her.

She ignored the other students, their happy babble just turning into background noise as she tried to find a spot where she can sit alone. But a voice speaking in a different language cut though the others, and she paused. Robin turned to look to where the voice came from, her eyes landing on two boys walking together. One seemed rather bothered, dragging his feet behind him as he walked. The other seemed... neutral. She walked closer to them and heard the neutral boy speak again in that other language, the words he was speaking finally clicking. It was Russian, and it seemed like they both spoke it fluently. Robin didn't know the language besides a few words she looked up for a story, but those would never come up in conversation. The two were making Robin more and more curious, they were definitely interesting characters.

Robin decided that talking to a few people would be better than doing nothing, and she caught up to the two. Her pace matched theirs as she walked next to the calmer boy, Robin's hands fiddling with her ponytail. "You two speak Russian? I don't hear it very often, at least not where I'm from," she mentioned to the boys. She glanced over at them to see their reaction to her sudden appearance. Robin didn't really care if they thought she was strange for butting in, it wasn't something she was ever worried about. She wanted something to do, and they seemed intriguing. Worst case scenario they would ignore her, and that wasn't a problem for her. Best case, she might get some amusement for the day. "I wonder then, where are you from?" Robin questioned the two, wondering what the answer might be.

It was nice that Mikael was on the same page, nearly right as soon as he mentioned the explosions he might be intending to set off in their fellow Durmstrang students’ tents, he mentioned his own tricks and surprises with a smile on his face. The smirk he gave was all Yefim needed to feel better again. After all, he was definitely going to forgive Nikolai for grabbing another tent, the anger he felt was only just the feeling right in front of his face. Yefim was actually pretty easy-going, rolling with the punches when things didn’t go his way. Still, that’s what made it all the more fun to get revenge on Nikolai. He wanted to see his face when he got his revenge, knowing that someday they would all laugh about it. Being friends with Yefim meant taking the bad with the good, though there was arguably always a lot more bad.

”[Amazing, you’re smart as hell… a dung bomb is soooo good!]” Yefim’s face lit up with a devilish grin, practically giggling.

Loud, sudden explosions were a nice gag, of course, but what was better than a lingering smell you couldn’t escape? He’d like to see Nikolai try to get cozy with his new friends while smelling like garbage. Well, who knows, maybe one of the girls in the tent was into that kind of freaky stuff. What happened after the initial hilarity of the act really wasn’t Yefim’s problem. Retaliation, he hoped. It would certainly make his stay in London a lot less boring. Not that he necessarily expected it to be boring, even if he was locked up in an empty room he would find something to occupy himself. With Mikael by his side, he was sure he could get into all kinds of trouble.

Before he could delve into any details, he saw a girl start walking beside Mik. It took him a second, in fact even a few seconds after she had started talking to them… in English… to realize she was trying to talk to them. Uhhh….. Excuse her? What was her deal, was she just bored? Well, she was either a genius or lucky, because she found the action. Maybe it was the way they were snickering and smiling at each other, the two of them weren’t exactly subtle.

”I am Russia. Yefim.” Yefim’s English was not good, but it wouldn’t stop him. He certainly understood her question, it was one almost everyone asked when they could tell he was a foreigner. Actually, even in Russia he was often asked where he came from, even though he was born there. Everyone just assumed he didn’t belong. ”Mikael, Norvegiya. We plan smelling the friend.”

Who cared if he was understood properly.

Mikael hadn't really expected someone to come up to him and Yefim. The two had not been bothered at all on their walk so far. Maybe it was because people did not know how to speak Russian. Though it was not like Mikael really cared. He was glad that people were staying away from the pair. Mikael was about to respond to Yefim's praise at him thinking ahead. Yet, it seemed like all good things came to an end in Mikael's case.

His gaze went from Mikael down to the shorter figure of Robin. The girl did not seem that remarkable to the boy, and his eyes held just a hint of coldness towards the girl interrupting them. Somedays, Mikael hated the fact that others thought he was more approachable than Yefim. Today was one of those days.

"Wonderful." he said dryly looking towards Yefim. From what the girl said, he could piece together most of what she said. Though it was hard to piece together the meaning of a foreign language when spoken towards him a quick manner.

Mikael frowned slightly as he listened as Yefim said the name of his home country. "I am from Norway." he confirmed with a small nod. The sentence was a fairly easy one to say and had been one of the very first sentences he had learned. "We are from Durmstrang." he added with a slightly friendly tone though his face remained fairly neutral.

For once, the boy followed the other boy's lead. He wondered exactly why Yefim was being nice and sharing their plans with her. Though he guessed that Yefim had his reasons behind it. Whatever his friend was scheming he would go along with. As long as he got a good laugh at the end.

From what Robin could understand, the first boy who spoke was named Yefim. Which wasn't a name she had ever heard of before. Considering he was from Russia, that made sense. The other boy's name was Mikael then, if she understood Yefim correctly. Though she couldn't decipher what 'we plan smelling the friend' meant. Robin glanced over to Mikael, she noticed that he didn't seemed to happy about her being there. Robin fully expected him to ignore her, but to her surprise he introduced himself. Seems like he's going to be difficult to read. Robin now understood that Norvegiya meant Norway, which in hindsight should have been obvious. Thanks to Mikael, she now also knew the two were Durmstrang students. She heard about Durmstrang, though she never knew much about the school. Maybe later she could ask the two about it, but right now she was interested in other things.

She glanced over at the two, knowing they likely were waiting for her to introduce herself. "I'm Robin, I live in Texas. I'm an Ilvermorny student," she told the two, giving them a rare smile. Now that the intros were out of the way, she could get to her question. "So, a plan? Mind filling me in?" she asked the two, wanting to know more about what they were up to. Considering the other words in Yefim's weird sentence, it had something to do with smell and a friend. Both of those things would definitely combine into something interesting. Maybe this camp won't be as ridiculous as she thought it might be. Time will tell, but she will not be bored for awhile.

Yefim engaging in conversation with the girl he literally didn’t understand seemed to exasperate Mik, though he seemed to translate for him anyway. NORE-WAYE? English was kinda an ugly language, especially when the girl spoke it. It was bad enough with all the Londoners not knowing any Russian, but her dialect was pretty much impossible to parse out. ‘I’m Robin’ made sense, at least, he knew that meant it was probably her name. Though where she was ‘from’ and was another garble of random sounds. At least he recognized Ilvermorny for what it was-- an American wizarding school, though he was lucky he was able to make out the words through her drawl.

He had no idea what she asked next, though she seemed to be asking both of them. She did say the word ‘plan’, so she was probably talking about the prank they were planning to pull. The truth was, Yefim craved his delightful petty revenge, but he didn’t actually know what tent Nikolai was in. There were a lot of tents, tons of Durmstrang students came to watch the game. I mean, of course they did, it was exciting as all hell! But still, looking into every single tent to find their friend sounded kiiiinndddaaaaaa boring. New plan: terrorize this girl who was bothering Mik. If she was as bored as Yefim was, surely she would appreciate it.

Coming up to her from behind Mik, he pulled out the aforementioned bag of exploding bonbons. He had a better idea for them now, one that would be sure to annoy everyone. He held them up and pointed at them.

”Exploding.” The word was on the bag, though his pronunciation was a bit off. ”I throw, Mik throw, you throw. Exploding together!”

His explanation could use some work, but it was more clear than perhaps he would have been in Russian, since he generally never tried to be understood. Trying to speak another language actually made him think about his words before he spoke… amazing. Turning to Mik, he gently grabbed a handful of the bonbons out and placed them in his friend’s hand. He would do the same for Robin if she accepted.

”[Here, let’s throw things at her. Of course, you’ll never be able to hit me.]” He smiled, challenging Mik and imagining the carnage.

Robin was kinda surprised when Yefim had pulled out the exploding bonbons, and became even more shocked when he talked about throwing them at each other. That was... unexpected. What sort of plan was throwing explosive candy at other people? On top of that, Yefim was expecting her to just join in on it? When the bonbons were offered, she cautiously took them. She didn't have any intention to actually use them, but if they were gonna throw them at her she'd rather have ammunition to throw back. It didn't seem like something fun. At least with something like water balloons it was a good way to cool off, especially on super hot summer days where it got into the 100's. But it wasn't hot, and bonbons weren't full of cool water. "Why?" she questioned, her current impression of the two slowly going into the strange category.

It wasn't like Robin didn't enjoy some competition, she was competitive. But that only applied to things that actually had a purpose. What purpose was this, To make a mess? To make loud noises and annoy other people? Robin considered leaving, or handing the bonbons back. But for some reason, she stayed. She didn't throw anything, just watched what the two Durmstrang students would do. She might as well just see how explosive these things are. If they throw them at each other, she could just sit and observe. If it was boring, she could just leave. So why not watch the fight go down?

Mikael frowned slightly as the girl now known as Robin told him what school she was from. It seemed that she was from a rival school. In truth, Mikael did not mind too much that the girl was from a different school. He never really cared for school rivalries it seemed like a waste of time in his eyes. To hate someone for where they went to school seemed counterproductive. Mikael would rather hate someone after they give him a reason to. Though when it came to himself, it didn't take that much for him to become annoyed with someone.

His gaze went from the shorter girl as he went to turn to Yefim. Mikael raised an eyebrow in question as the other boy pulled out the exploding bonbons. This had not been apart of the two's plan, and he wondered exactly where he was going with this. Mikael took the exploding bonbons without much fuss. It seemed like the wheels in Yefim's head were turning a mile a minute. Which meant that their old plan was out the window.

Mikael smirked slightly as Yefim spoke to him in Russian. "Alright if you say so." he said with a small snicker. The boy picked up one of the exploding bonbons from his right hand. He looked down at it for a second before glancing at Robin. Mikael raised his hand before throwing the exploding bonbon at the girl's feet.

Both of them took the bonbons, though the American girls was all like ‘whhyyyy?’, which… for fun, obviously, but he wasn’t about to speak English to tell her that. She could just see herself, or be tormented, whichever happened. This was far more Yefim’s style anyway. While targeting Nik and the other people on their team sounded like fun in principle, it was also work. Maybe he would just pants Nik the next time he saw him, that would be good enough, right? For now, he was going to get revenge on this American girl instead, for talking to him in English and being around. She might not have known she was engaging with a Russian hurricane, but she would learn to fear Durmstrang soon enough.

Even sooner than he thought, as Mik ponied up to throwing the first explosion right at her feet-- BAM!! Yefim’s face lit up like a kid opening a present on their birthday, a smile as big as his face. He could always count on Mik. Wasting no time, Yefim ran long, yelling loudly in excitement. A clarion call for all the poor sobs nearby who were about to be caught in the crossfire of an all-out war. Naturally, the first explosion grabbed plenty of attention already, quite a few heads in the rows of tents starting to turn, wondering what was happening. While mostly just really loud, the bonbons also caused a visual explosion as well. Yefim didn’t actually know if they could hurt, but he figured he would find out soon enough.

Once he had a bit of distance, he threw one of his bonbons in Mik's direction. ”[INCOMING!]” He warned him, though this would be the last time he did so. Yefim was a chaser, and Mik was a beater, so naturally it should follow that Yefim’s aim was on point and Mik would easily be able to see it coming. Because of that, he aimed for behind Mik to see what would happen. Would he move, try to hit it, let it hit the people behind him? Either way, it was going to explode.

Which, of course, was great!
