Janet breathed a sigh of content as she looked up at the sky, stargazing was an activity she had been looking forward to for a while now, and she could tell that it was quite popular. The relaxed friendly atmosphere was certainly very enjoyable. As soon as she was handed the star chart she disregarded it, throwing it into her pocket, she had come here to relax, not to examine the sky too closely. She was happy to just enjoy the view in general. The girl grabbed a blue rug and glanced around, looking for a space to place it and lay down. She spotted one of her good friends, May Moonstar, but resisted the urge to simply walk over to her. She would have plenty of opportunities to catch up with her later on in the summer, but this was the perfect chance to socialize with someone new. Anyway, it seemed May had found company of her own. On a second glance she caught sight of a space next to a girl with long brown hair gazing up at the sky. Janet walked over to her.

There was so much food inside of the baskets that Cecily didn't even know where to start. After the long train ride, though, she was starving for a snack, so following Amadea's lead, she laid a couple of slices of turkey, lettuce, and tomato on bread, figuring she should probably eat something of substance before gorging herself on the assortments of treats from Honeyduke's for the rest of the night. Which she would absolutely be doing, just as soon as she finished this sandwich.

But before she could even take a bite, a very awkward situation became clear. Laying on the picnic table just a meter from where the two girls sat was the one and only Adam Harringtom. Of course, because why would the universe let her have even one evening with her best friend without making her feel guilty about it? She had felt bad for excluding Adam, of course, but she figured that he had plenty of other friends he could hang out with for a night. Plus, it had been too long since Cecily and Amadea had been able to catch up, one-on-one.

She silently begged Amadea to ignore it, to just eat her sandwich and move on, but the Hufflepuff was nicer than she. Cecily quietly sighed as the redhead invited the boy to join them on the other end of the table. It wasn't that she didn't want to spend time with Adam, it was just that she had only invited Amadea for a reason.

At that very moment, however, the universe seemed to answer her prayers. A blonde boy she recognised as Dmitri-- part of the iconic Blossom Ball trio with Celynne-- approached Adam, striking up a conversation. Cecily took the opportunity to grab her sandwich in one hand and Amadea's arm in the other, dragging the other girl off of the bench and away from the table.

"Let's just, uh, let him look at the stars." Or whatever. She guided the Hufflepuff over to one of the large blankets lying on the ground as she made her excuses and took bites out of her sandwich. Did she need to explain herself to Amadea? Probably. Was she going to? Probably not, unless Dea asked her. Which she very much hoped she didn't, because "I didn't want to hang out with him" was probably not a respectable excuse in the Hufflepuff's book. But regardless of whether Amadea knew her reasoning, or even wanted to know, the damage had been done. She just hoped she hadn't made her friends mad at her. She loved both of them dearly, and though it pained her to chose one over the other, she had impulsively made her choice. So that was awesome.

The Ravenclaw settled onto the ground, a blanket over her legs and a pillow under her head. Not having very much else to say, she halfheartedly smiled at Amadea, finished her sandwich, and looked at the stars.

Bloom snatched her hand back to her body. She did not expect such a rude response from the Divinations professor. She did not know that there was a line. Bloom assumed that everyone was able to come up to the professor if they wanted a reading. If anything, she could have said it nicer. Bloom rolled her eyes at the professor and walked away. She was not going to stay in line to have someone such as her to tell her future. Then again, knowing the future would be helpful for Bloom. But from her? No. Bloom was not a fan of Professor Kibitzer.

What to do now? Bloom thought looking around. Who could she talk to? Maybe it was time for her to go up to others. She couldn't wait for others to come to her. Look at how that was going so far... It left her getting chewed out by the Divination's professor. Bloom looked around to find some familiar faces. As she looked, she carefully walked around. It wasn't until she saw another fourth-year Ravenclaw, Adam Harringtom. Bloom believed he was a Prefect in the past just like her. Could that be why she recognized him?

Bloom was about to come up to him when Amadea Campbell, a fourth-year Hufflepuff, called out to him first to sit with her and another friend. Bloom bit her lip and walked up to Adam anyways.

"Hey Adam, I don't know if you know me, but I'm Bloom Silverton. We're the same year," she said awkwardly. He probably knew who she was as they've been in the same house for a few years now, but she felt it was appropriate to introduce herself since they've never really interacted with each other. "Did you want to watch the stars with me?" she asked, not realizing how 'asking out' it was when she just wanted some company with someone who was familiar.

So it’s not Airlia…
Lindsey felt pretty relieved. Well, if Airlia’s parents were like that, she would report it to her grandfather next time. Why would someone treat their own children like that?
“Haven’t had the pleasure to meet an Ana so far.” Lindsey grinned. “But seemed a nice name for a nice girl.”
“Is Airlia a pureblood, by any chance?” Eyre asked.
“Yep. We met in Paris, and I think she lives in Finland? She’s the future lady of…of Taika I believe?” Lindsey answered. “It’s pretty a difficult name of place to remember.”
Airlia’s good mannered, probably even better than herself. Elegant and graceful, you could easily use these two words to describe that girl. Airlia’s only a year elder than Lindsey, but Lindsey often felt that she’s five years older. Airlia’s very nice, though.
This subject seemed made Eyre felt not very comfortable.
“...Enough about me, how was your first year of school? I don't think that I've ever seen you round before...”
“Pretty well.” Lindsey answered, smiling. “Well, I think I met plenty of Slytherins and some Hufflepuffs. Only encountered and talked with three lions last year.”
For these three lions, she meant Lizzie, Mercury and Zykeal.
The Gryffindors were probably the most interesting people in the world. Lizzie was one of the best people in the world, while Cricket Mercury——Miss Sport Star——seemed one of the worst. Lindsey had never understood why she could meet her close friend and enemy at the same house.
“What about you?” She asked Eyre.

@Zykeal Lane
Lizzie had known things would never have worked out between the two. It was a relationship built up on top of lies and manipulation. She had actually thought about the whole situation for quite a while and had never found the right time to bring it up. The Ravenclaw always had a feeling in the back of her mind that something wasn't right and that it all needed to be sorted out before someone got hurt.

It was actually surprising it had gone on for so long. Lizzie did not understand why she had even thought of it in the first place. Rafael was just a school girl crush and she would defiantly get over it. There were obviously better candidates then school bullys. She was also very young and naive. The whole idea of dating should not have been imprinted in their mins just as of yet.

At the sound of Zykeal's voice, Lizzie sat up quickly. She crossed her arms and looked at him slightly annoyed. She nodded her head slightly and sighed, "Yes, we do need to talk." She uncrossed her arms and placed them on her legs trying to force herself out of wanting to fidget.

"I.. I don't think this is going to work out any longer." She breathed out a small laugh while tucking some strands of hair behind her ears, "Hopefully, we can come to a safe conclusion on this whole matter."

Lizzie nodded her head again darting her eyes around the whole area trying to look anywhere but her 'boy-friend'. The blonde held her breath while she adjusted her seating so they could properly talk without other voices and the wind drowning out the sound.

She let out a chuckle and slightly nudged the boy in front of her, "We could totally do better." She was telling the truth. They both could [hopefully] stay friends and not have to worry about ever letting their guard.

She moved her small shoulder bag behind her and smiled, "I think…" She took a deep breath in, "that we should get some food." She pointed to a basket that was close by. "You want some food? I want some. I'm pretty hungry." She was defiantly stalling from what she really wanted to say and it would put them deeper into a problem then they already were.

𝓘nwardly, Amadea cringed. As soon as she had called out to the third member of their little trio, Amadea could tell Cecily had tensed up. It wasn't her place to be adding to the group, right? After all, it was Cecily who had arranged the plans, Cecily who had reached out to Amadea and only Amadea, and Cecily who was the one that had decided they would go stargazing. Spending a nice girl's night with her friend was something Amadea had been looking forward to and she was sure that Cecily had only invited her for the same reason; it wasn't like they were purposely excluding Adam. But now that Amadea's morals had forced her to call out to him, Cecily suddenly looked more unhappy. Amadea felt like she could cry. All she was trying to do was make everyone happy but it now was looking like everyone was sad.

As she glanced over at Adam, she noticed that two other students had approached him. She recognized the girl as Bloom Silverton, a girl that Amadea had interacted with a little bit during her first year but hadn't seen much since. Amadea liked Bloom, and she was glad that the girl had approached Adam. Maybe the two could bond. The other student was unfamiliar to Amadea, but she couldn't help but smile at him in relief. Adam could hang out with them; he wasn't missing out on anything!

Before Amadea could say anything, whether she would apologize to Adam or Cecily, her Ravenclaw friend had grabbed her by the arm and was now dragging her toward the blankets that had been set up for stargazing. She barely had time to grab her basket as Cecily dragged her onto one of the blankets. She decided not to say anything to Cecily about the weird encounter; she didn't want to make the situation any more awkward than it already was.

Amadea finished up her sandwich as she pulled out the star sheet that had somehow managed to stay on her person throughout the entire ordeal. It was now significantly more crinkled, but not unreadable so Amadea held it out toward Cecily. "I really don't know much about the stars," Amadea said. "Outside of astronomy I don't really ever stargaze...I mean I lived in London for most of my life so there's not that much clear sky to look at." She knew Cecily's experience was quite different living in the middle of nowhere in Ireland, and she was excited to learn more.

There were many times at home that Aisling had stargazed, sprawled out on the nearby beach with her family not too far off. While it had been magical then, it felt even more so now as she traveled by train with the rest of the stargazing goers to Grove Park. The set up was simple, yet lovely, and it was the perfect, quiet getaway from a densely populated field in London's Quidditch Stadium.

She accepted her star chart from Annie eagerly, spreading it out between her hands and grinning. Although she'd seen the stars many times she'd never tried to understand which constellations she was viewing, but there was a first time for everything. She spent a moment turning the chart in her hands, trying to align it properly with the sky until her stomach growled quite loudly.

Feeling a little peckish she decided to stick her hand into a basket and fetch a bit of bread. After slathering a bit of jam on top, she took to slowly meandering about while snacking. Although her eyes were skyward it wasn't too terribly difficult to avoid stumbling over small groups of people. The stars were the real show stoppers tonight, and she wanted to get a good look at them first and foremost before she decided to relax. Perhaps afterwards she would partake in finding out when she would die at Professor Kibitzer's fortune telling table, especially if she wouldn't get to experience that until her third year at Hogwarts. Why wait? But was it really worth finding out so soon?

Spotting the binoculars she paused for a moment, narrowing her eyes in thought as she slowly munched on jam covered bread. Mm, no, not good enough for a proper study. Turning on her heel she began making her way towards the telescopes on the far end of the field, skirting past light chit-chat and the rather unfortunate break up between Lizzie and Zykeal. Thankfully, the latter seemed to have worked itself out, because it would have been rather awkward walking past a lover's quarrel during such a quiet and pristine night.

Finishing off the last of her jammy bread she glanced between the telescopes. It seemed only one other had the same idea as her, even if Aaron had departed towards the telescopes in order to avoid an awkward moment of his own. Without so much as a second thought she decided to interrupt his struggling by asking, "You know how to use one of these?" She sported a bright, toothy grin as she gestured towards the telescope she was standing at. While it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing she knew even less, so she figured the two of them could struggle to figure it out together.

A familiar voice called Adam away from the stars and his brow furrowed as he looked around for Amadea. It had definitely been her voice — they'd been sharing a tent together for a few days now, and been friends for a few years, and he knew it when he heard it. Still, he hadn't thought that she was on this particular trip. How could he have missed her on their way over? Adam turned his head back and forth, but found that he couldn't see much while lying down on the picnic table. Careful not to kick his basket over, Adam maneuvered himself into a sitting position and scanned the small area around him.

He caught sight of Amadea just as she was being pulled away by another familiar figure: Cecily. It was one of the first times that Adam had seen his best friend since school ended, even if it was just the back of her head. He wondered why the pair would've called out to him just to head in the opposite direction. Maybe it was a prank? Maybe he was going mad and he'd imagined the whole thing. Either way, the girls looked like they were busy, and Adam didn't want to interfere. He tried to shrug off his confusion as he reached for another handful of pretzels from his basket. That had been weird.

With his mind still busy trying to figure out if he'd really heard Amadea or not, Adam didn't notice the other boy approach his picnic table. It was only when he spoke that Adam realized he was there, holding out a star map like an offering. It was his star map, apparently — a quick search of the picnic table confirmed that it had blown away while he wasn't looking. "Oh, uh....thanks." He reached forward to accept the map and his hand brushed the other boy's for a split second. Adam peered at his face curiously, recognition stirring in the back of his mind. They'd met before, hadn't they? Yes. Through blurry memories of mosps and smoke, this boy stood out: he'd been with Cecily and Celynne at the Blossom Ball in the spring. In all honesty, Adam hadn't expected to run into him again.

"Hey, Dmitri, right?" He asked, smiling hesitantly. "I'm Adam. I don't know if you remember, but we met at the ball this spring. I was covered in blood and I think you were controlling two giant owls." It was weird to think how much time had passed since that event when the memories were still so sharp. "Thanks. Uh, for the map. I wouldn't have ever noticed it was gone." Adam gave a small, uncertain laugh. He wasn't quite sure what else to say.

It turned out that he didn't have to fill the potentially-awkward silence, though, thanks to the arrival of a pretty brunette. "Bloom!" Adam exclaimed, recognizing his housemate when she introduced herself. Although they shared a common room, he wasn't sure if they'd ever officially met. He knew that she knew Dymphna and Serena, and he counted that as a good sign. "Yeah, of course I know you! Good to see you!" Just as he was starting to wonder why she'd approached him — why now? — she asked her question. Did Adam want to watch the stars....with Bloom?

"Oh, um...sure!" he responded before he could really think about it. Adam wasn't totally oblivious, and Bloom's question had caught him a little off-guard (especially with the way it was worded), but he doubt that she meant anything by it. It would be silly and arrogant of him to assume that she was asking him in a "date" type of way. They'd never even met before! He couldn't help but think back to the way that he and Eris had awkwardly danced around inviting each other to the Halloween Ball, though, and wonder if this was like that. After a second's hesitation, he slid over to make room for the girl at the table.

There was still something he was forgetting — or rather, someone. Adam glanced over at Dmitri and smiled at him again, patting the bench on his other side. "Dmitri! Come on, come join us! There's still plenty of room!" He felt bad leaving the boy alone and besides, he wanted to get to know him better. This seemed like a great time to do it. Adam reached into the picnic basket and pulled out three Chocolate Frogs, offering one to each of the other students and unwrapping one for himself. He laid out the star chart on his lap, making sure that all three of them would be able to see it.

"They're just...amazing," Adam mused as he leaned back and returned his eyes to the stars. "Aren't they?" He didn't know how anyone could see a sky like this and not feel totally stunned.

Howard would match Santario’s eye roll with one of his own as she spoke of the newly arrived students. Apparently they had been invited to the summer camp to get accustomed to being away from home and amongst their peers before school began. He had seen a few of them scurrying around, that mix of nervousness and excitement splattered across their face. The biggest worries they had was which house they would be sorted into or how well they’d do in class. Howard was only just finishing his third year, but it seemed like so long ago. They’d all learn the harsh truth soon enough.

“What a turd. The hell would a squib be around here for anyways. Twirp.” He referenced to one of her tent mates.

Howard’s eyes drifted off towards the Professor as he asked of divination, but the tone in her voice would cause them to snap right back to her. Again, he would see the intensity in her eyes and the slightest tint of anger as she spoke. He couldn’t help the slight smile that crossed his lips. It was not one of humor or jest, but one that often came to his face when conversing with someone who would challenge him. A decent conversation to stand out amongst the sea of mundane.

“A good point, Santario. There is no denying that our choices all have consequences. We wouldn’t have free will if every little thing was preordained, right? See, I’ve been fighting against a predetermined path ever since I found out I was a wizard. First, they tell me I can no longer live a Muggle life, then they expect me to conform to the rules and customs of the Magical community and now that I’ve got this.” Howard would pull down the collar of his shirt and tap the bite scar on his neck. ”Yet again they want to tell me what kind of life I should live. So yes, I suppose I do agree with you in a sense. If these people had it their way, Divination would be science. Wouldn’t they just love to tell you exactly who you are and what you will be. A load of shite, yes? But...what if those with the gift get an inkling of what your future will be based on the choices you are making. Sure the path may dip to the left or curve to the right, but in the end, as you said, we make our own future and the path ends according to us. I know where I want mine to go and perhaps people like her.” He nodded his head towards Professor Kibitzer. ”Can tell me if I’ll get there.”

This was not going as planned, Zykeal thought, as he had sat down next to Lizzie and said those few words to her at the time. Lizzie was his girlfriend, he had mixed emotions about it, but for some reason, it had felt real for a little while there. The next words that came out of her mouth caused a reactionary sigh from him, it wasn't what he wanted, in truth he was there to see if they could make things official instead of just being some fake relationship. Instead, he listened as she said that the relationship wasn't going to work out any further. A hesitant nod was given to her as she said such things, her next words not yet registering with him at the moment until he looked back up to her and nodded once more and softly said, "Yeah... sure, makes sense," he offered, a slight mumble towards the end of his sentence.

When she adjusted her seating, he just stayed where he was, thinking things over in that brain of his for the time being. Dropping his eyes so that he would look towards the ground, he sat in thought for a moment. It was true that they had entered the relationship with a set plan, but, his feelings towards Ivy had faded and he had some actual real moments with Lizzie that seemed comfortable with him. Zykeal wasn't sure what to think, but, emotions were easily packed into a storage container within him that seemed to be filling up rather quickly as of late. Another factor was that Rafa was quickly becoming one of his best friends, in the beginning, they were something like sworn enemies, but common ground was found and respect was earned between the two of them.

Those golden irises shifted back up to Lizzie as she spoke once more, 'We could totally do better', she had said. What did that even mean? That hurt him, he wouldn't let it show though, he was too stubborn to let this girl know that she had even slightly hurt him and he offered what could be passed as a real laugh at that statement, a nod quickly following as he spoke, "You're right about that," he mentioned, an air of cockiness being twisted into his words as he responded. Another moment had passed and he couldn't anything to do to fill the awkward silence besides bringing out that ivory-colored wand once more. The habitual rotating the aspen wood wand through the fingers of his hand like a drum stick would commence and he'd sit there quietly until she spoke up once more.

Was she acting now as if they should be civil to each other and just continue on as if nothing happened? It seemed that way. She spoke of eating and sharing a meal together as if he could stomach such a thing at the moment. For whatever reason, he had to save face and the only action he could think of was to get up and leave. Before he did though, he looked up back to Lizzie and offered a small, but real, smile towards the girl and said, "It was fun while it lasted though," and he put his free hand down in front of him and leaned forward, quickly he would brush the tips of his lips to her forehead and offer a small kiss to it before he backed off. Another nod was given in finality, then he'd push himself up, standing and turning away from the girl as he looked back at her for one more second, "Cya around Lizzie'," he said, then he turned his head away and walked off alone towards the other side of the events area where there was no one around.
Zykeal would keep a smile on his face as he walked away, spinning that wand within his fingers at his side and moving about as if nothing had ever happened in the first place. Masks were something he was becoming good at putting on.
