Carina A. Leviathan First Year Gryffindor

(A more objective) HISTORY OF CARINA
Carina is a pure-blood from the Leviathan family. Her mother's great grandfather had been rumored to be a Parseltongue, but he never confirmed it nor used it on any occasion. Carina's father, Marcello, was a Parselmouth, which was why Marcello had considered becoming a dark wizard several years ago, but didn't decide on it. Both Carina's parents were Slytherins, with her mother being a half-blood and her father a pure-blood Parselmouth.

When baby Carina was born, everyone took in the beauty of the little thing. She had very light, silky, silver hair and extremely large, gentle, and beautiful gray-blue eyes (Although she can make them look very piercing if she wished to). She had a small, delicate nose, defined eyebrows, and a delicate mouth. Due to her loveliness and ability to charm a person with her straightforward and striking personality, Carina never lacked love nor attention in her life. She was a perfect model of a well-treated young pure-blood witch. Except for one special capability that surfaced in her later life.

Everything was great until the day the Leviathans went on a family trip to France to visit some distant relatives. Carina had a tendency to wander off but she always came back on time due to her almost magically acute sense of direction (in stark contrast to her AU Muggle author). However, this time she didn't come back. It wasn't until nightfall that my family started to worry. After calling Carina's name around the neighborhood for several hours, they began to panic. In the meantime, Carina was being sent to a foster family who was desperately looking for a child. Consumed with grief and agony, her parents couldn't find her even with all their excelling magic. Carina was simply lost.

Raised in the Muggle home, Carina was blind to everything she should’ve known for years.

Until Carina's parents, after three years, took a trip back to France to mourn the loss of their child, saw Carina accidentally unleash some magic on her poor Muggle “brother”, another foster child, two years smaller than her, who was trying to kill Carina's little pet snake, a tiny and harmless creature which Carina picked up by the river calling to her in a helpless voice, telling her its mother had just been trapped and killed for her scales. The little boy, like Carina, was enchanted by the snake, and was trying to play with it while actually hurting it and stretching it along its two ends. Carina heard its cries and came running, yelling in a hissing language. At the sign of Parseltongue, Carina's parents turned around and saw Carina instructing the snake to save itself and hit back. So the snake gently bit the boy's finger, which caused the boy to scream "demoness!" at Carina. The watching leviathans immediately recognized their little girl, and weeping tears of relief, swapped her back, and performed an Oblivious spell on the poor little Muggle boy and Carina's foster parents, wiping them of any memory of her. (They did leave several drops of Felix Felicis in their lemonade as a thank you gift though. Typical of wizards) So, Carina went back to living her normal life as a pure-blood witch. (P.S. This is where Carina dyed her hair lavender, merely for the sake of being more noticeable among the crowds at Hogwarts.)

The fact that Carina was a Gryffindor was thought to be rather surprising, but Carina had put a little snake emblem in the bottom of her trunk as a reminder of the magical and rare skill she possessed.

Carina hates things that lack color - always wants things colorful, literally and figuratively, in her life. Hates it when things are boring or dreary.

Carina isn't very interested in food and thinks it a waste of time to spend too much time on eating. Most people like her family find the interest in eating a trait of Hufflepuff so is viewed with disdain.

Although it's a Muggle book, Carina finds this book full of adventure and admires the female protagonist's urge for nonconformity. She likes books with gray characters, complex plots, and tragic/unexpected endings. Genres that she prefers are sci-fi and adventure. She does not like fantasy. Most of them are too far from the real truth, such as that vampires do not have a reflection or that dhampirs die under the sun.

Hobbies:
<I>. Wizarding/Magical
1. Quidditch - Carina always loved the popular wizarding sport. Her acuteness and almost magical instinct in direction made her an excellent Seeker, and her quickness and agileness in movement made her a spectacular Keeper. She plays with kids in the neighborhood before coming to Hogwarts. Carina is still a first-year and thus cannot be a Quidditch player, but she will definitely apply for one when she's allowed to. She has never been to a tournament before though - which makes her extremely excited for this summer's tournament between Hufflepuff and Durmstrang. She'll probably cheer for Durmstrang though due to a subconscious Slytherin disdain towards Hufflepuff House. She knows it's bad and tries to stop if she's conscious enough.
2. Eating Sugar Quills - Carina's favorite snacks are sugar quills, and slurp on them occasionally if she gets tired. It's actually the only food she's interested in, since it doesn't take up much time and allows for a relaxing reading time where Carina likes to curl up on her bed and sip a sugar quill for fun.
3. Playing with pygmy puffs/puffskins - Carina has always had a strong affection for small animals and furry things, especially adorable creatures like puffskins and the smaller pygmy puffs. Pygmy puffs, especially purple ones, are extremely attracted to Carina and her hair, which is an ideal hiding place for them. That's why other students' purple pygmy puffs often end up in Carina's hair, with Carina stroking them good-naturedly.<II>.Non-magical/Muggle
1. Doodling/Drawing - Carina as always been an extremely artistic girl with different art ideas swirling in her head all the time. She's also good at drawing comics and digital art, with her favorite teacher being sakimichan (where my avatar came from).
