A tale for the ages
Henry entered the library and walked along the shelves as he looked for a book on defense against the dark arts. His eyes darted from book to book while occasionally outside at the clear and sunny day, how he wanted to be outside with his friends on a day like that but he knew he should learn a bit more on defensive spells so that he'll will be sort of at the same level that Miranda is at in defense against the dark arts.
After a few minutes Henry found what he was looking for, a book on defensive spells. He pulled it from the shelves and carried it to try and find a seat, as he looked many of the tables held groups of friends either whispering to each other while they read or talked loudly and goof off among each other instead of studying. Henry walked past most of the groups, trying to find a empty table or at least with someone that he knows but apparently the library was busy and overwhelmed with students that day.
Henry spotted a table with a lonely student at it and approached, at least it's not a group of students, Henry approached the table and smiled where now he noticed the student was a girl with dark blue, short wavy hair. Henry cleared his throat a bit as he spoke " Hi, I'm Henry. Uh could I join you, the other tables are all full."

After a few minutes Henry found what he was looking for, a book on defensive spells. Henry walked past most of the groups, trying to find a empty table or at least with someone that he knows but apparently the library was busy and overwhelmed with students that day.

A tale for the ages
Sam was in the library with a folder full of paper, pencils, and more books on Mythical Creatures and Wands. Again.
Her sketchbook had almost run out of pages the other time she was here and she didn't want it to be full just yet. The folder was a bit heavier than her sketchbook because she was able to put more paper in it. It was very bulky but she was able to manage.
She wanted to get the books that she had before but she couldn't remember their places in the library since it was massive and full of isles. Once she had found the books she went to go look for a place to sit. There were more people here than usual and that kind of made Sam anxious.
She noticed an empty table and went over. Once she sat down she put the books aside to give her room to draw. She kept her head buried in the books just as she did in the Great Hall after getting sorted. Most of them were other Hufflepuffs and there were some Gryffindors and Ravenclaws. She didn't see that many Slytherins.
After being in the library for a while. Most of the people there had went off to do other things which left a few groups here and there. She got startled when she heard someone clear their throat. " Hi, I'm Henry. Uh could I join you, the other tables are all full."
She looked up and noticed a boy standing there. Who was also a Slytherin. Sam started thinking about the Slytherins that were making fun of her in the Great Hall.
Although she was extremely anxious, she kept her composure and smiled at the boy. "Yeah, sure!" Sam moved her books over so he could have some room.

"Yeah, sure!" The girl replied as she moved over a few of her books, Henry placed his own stacked of books on the table besides him then removed his messager type bag from his shoulder and placed it on the ground besides his chair while he took his seat across from her.
"Thank you", Henry muttered to her as he opened on of his books, one on magical creatures and begun to read. Occasionally he looked up to see other student's conversing with each other as they either entered or exited the library. He smiled at the sight of them then turn to see the girl with her head buried in a book, he saw a folder in front if her with a piece of parchment sticking out.
Henry leaned over slightly to noticed that their was a drawing on that parchment that was quite good, Henry looked up at her and smiled as he geustered to the picture and spoke " your drawing is quite good, I'm guessing your a artist." Henry smiled then return to his books as he continued to read through it then closed it and place it in a new pile besides him.
Henry picked up another book from his pile, this one one defensive spells and opened it as he begun to read.

Sam was kind of happy that Henry sat across from her because he wouldn't be able to see her leg shaking. Your drawing is quite good, I'm guessing you're an artists." He kind of caught her off guard when he said that and where she was buried in books she was also confused for a second. "Oh." She finally realized what he was talking about and noticed that one of her drawings was sticking out of her folder. She stopped reading and reached over to fix her drawing so it wasn't sticking out.
"Thanks, but I disagree." Her voice was soft because she was anxious with being around a Slytherin, but she kept her composure as much as possible. Her leg started shaking more and it got to the point where it'd start shaking on its own fully. She knew that Henry wasn't (hopefully) like the Slytherins that made fun of her in the Great Hall, but they also didn't really set a good example for all the other Slytherins.
When she finished the book that she was currently reading, she went through the others and realized that majority of them were ones that she already read. She had forgotten that she brought her satchel, which she put under her chair, and decide to read her book instead.

The girl started to tucked her drawing back into her folder as she spoke "Thanks, but I disagree." Henry couldn't help but chuckle a bit, why do people never admit to having a talent, as be grazed up at her and smiled while he spoke " well I think it's quite good and if I didn't know you which I don't I would guess that your a Artist." Henry return to his book on advanced charms which he already finished but decided to read it again just in case be missed something the first time he read it.
Once Henry finished the book a second time, he opened it to a certain page and place it on the table in front of him then continued to do this until there were five books opened to a specific page in front of the slytherin. Henry then took his wand out from a pocket inside his robes and begun to trace certain sentences in the certain books with his finger as he also began to move in his wand in certain movements, while looking quite frustration.
After a while Henry placed his wand on the table and began to read a certain paragraph in one of the open books. His eyes flickered over each word in that paragraph as he occasionally said "muffliato," he then shook his head and ran a hand through his hair while he bit his lip. Henry picked up his wand again and practiced a certain movement while he slightly said the incantation.
Henry then stopped and grazed over to the girl who was reading as he spoke " I'm not bothering you, I'm I? Because I'll move if I am?"

"I'm not bothering you, am I? Because I'll move if I am." Sam looked up at him. "No, your fine. I'm just very shy and awkward around new people." She started feeling less anxious around him which also made her loosen up and not make her seem so tense.
The more she talked to him she more comfortable she got which also made her want to talk to herself. She only does that around people when she feels comfortable with them because they (hopefully) won't think she's crazy. Most of the time when she says something or starts talking to herself (literally) they usually do think she's crazy and a freak.
"And I had a few Slytherins make already fun of me so that doesn't really help." Sam suddenly got tense and realized how loud she said that. Even though she said it softly. She leaned her head down and shielded her eyes with her hand so he couldn't see her squint her eyes. I hope he didn't hear me she said to herself in her head. Sam took a slight breath and took out some paper and her pencils and opened one of the library books about Mythical Creatures and started sketching. She sat there tense and tried to put her focus on sketching and it started to help but the thought that she might have offended him was starting to rise and she started to embarrassed.

"No, your fine. I'm just very shy and awkward around new people," the girl replied and so Henry continued to moved his wand in certain movements as he occasionally and silently mouthed a certain charm. After a few minutes he heard the girl speak again"And I had a few Slytherins make already fun of me so that doesn't really help."
Henry looked up and smiled at her as he placed his wand back into his pocket that was hidden inside of his robes. He closed a few of his books and piled them into one neat pile on the side of his, where after he spoke " I'm sorry about the Slytherin's who were mean to you, even through I would never attentionly cause harm to someone either physically or mentally I know that many in my house would which is probably why slytherin has such a bad wrap,
well that and maybe also being the house that you know who was sorted into." Henry the smiled at her, as he watched her draw what it looked like a magical creature.
After a few minutes Henry spoke again " I know how it feels to be shy and awkward around people, before Hogwarts and even now in my first year I am a bloody nervous wreck. I probably am worse than you this year, during my first charms lesson I was so nervous about embarrassing myself I said no thank you when the professor was taking roll, well someday I will have a good laugh about it but not now," Henry paused as he chuckled before continuing " But then now I'm mainly worried and nervous about it, which is why I'm also trying not to be as nervous or shy but failing so I guess thank my friends who help me warm up and try not to be so nervous or anxious- nice drawing."

Sam smiled at Henry. "Well thank you for being a nice Slytherin. It's good to know there are still good ones." Sam's anxiety started going down the more she talked to him. She was happy that she was making some friends that weren't just in her house.
"Where are you from? If you don't mind me asking." Sam was always interested in meeting people from different parts of the world.
Sam started thinking about what he might say. She surprised herself at the number of countries there even were. Ireland is way bigger than people think, but there are so many small towns.
She tried to stop thinking by going back to her book but reading only made her think more. The only way she could stop thinking too much about anything was if she put most of her attention on something else. She started to focus more on reading, which helped her stop thinking about so much where he came from and decided to wait for him to respond.
She was hoping she didn't have any kind of look on her face that showed she was thinking about something because most of the time she makes weird faces and it embarrasses her. She looked down at her leg to see if it had stopped shaking and to her surprise it had. She wasn't sure when it had stopped but she knew it did because her anxiety was a lot better.
