It was safe to say that Sky hated Gryffindors. In absolutely every way.
Although she couldn't possibly place a finger on one reason why. Maybe it was their reckless ‘I-can-do-anything-I-want’ demeanour that she hated? Or the fact that the majority of them rushed into tasks without a spare thought at all. They were brash and abrasive in her opinion. Being a slytherin, she knew that this was highly stereotypical of her, the fact that she opposed such a house; well maybe you could say it was. After all Sky was almost the definition of slytherin in her ways, very much the epitome of her own snake house.

Her father had been a slytherin, as her older brother. However her mother and her younger brother [and favorite sibling by far] both showed characteristics of a true hufflepuff. Her brother of course was too young to attend Hogwarts, but her mother had indeed been a hufflepuff through and though. Maybe that's why Sky had surprisingly grown a tenderness for the badger house. [Even if she didn't show it much] It was possible that was the thin line separating her from ‘stereotypical slytherin’, and ‘ordinary student’.

The concept of the quidditch match was no doubt exciting. Sky loved quidditch, much like her older brother. It could be a straight up fact that the two didn't get along well, and Sky had immense pleasure rubbing it [through owls of course] in her brother's face that she would be watching a match this summer without him for a change. Now of course Sky had attended quidditch matches before, yet this time the circumstances were completely different. She could help but feel elated as she made her way down to the crafting event. An idea in mind.

Of course, she had no intention of painting her face, not at all. Instead she would show her support through a banner or a poster? Sky was undoubtedly good at art, it was a talent she was rather proud of in fact, not to mention one she enjoyed very much.

She approached the activity, nearing the tables and glancing up and down the assortments of materials. Brushes, pens, paper, paints, there was a whole lot more too. Glancing up at the organizers, she gave a smile and a polite wave to her slytherin professor. “Good day professor Jensen.” She smiled. It was then that out of the corner of her eye, she spotted something that was sure to skyrocket her mood downwards. Ariana Walker. Oh the girl was a representation of gryffindor in itself, the main reason for her increased dislike towards the lion house. Sky hadn't spoken to her since their last incident, in which she was reminded with a guilty jolt, she had delved gratuitously into one of Walker's dark secrets, one she was sure would be hard to eradicate from her mind. She felt a slight twinge of pity for the girl, although that could not be compared with the hatred bubbling savagely to the surface. Sky had to forcefully fight the desire to walk over there and provoke her. It was entertaining watching her get so worked up; yes the gryffindor really did need to control her unruly temper. Although it seemed that all of them were like that these days. Walker was also accompanied by another gryffindor, one Sky did not recognize; Along with May, for whom the young snake held a fair amount of dislike for. In her opinion the girl was too interfering and stubborn, always in places where she didn't belong.

Sighing, she picked up a piece of yellow card, fumbling for different materials to piece together a banner. She was sure the unobservant gryffindor hadn't even noticed her yet. Sky had no intention of going over there at the moment. She hadn't forgotten the last time she had provoked the brunette and she absentmindedly touched her cheek, a scowl making its way onto her face temporarily.

Then again, she was supposed to turn over a new leaf, was she not? To be more friendly, welcoming? That was what her mother had made her promise, was it not? Then again becoming friends with a gryffindor was certainly too far. She could imagine ever doing so. Would anyone change her mind about the house? Wel she doubted such.

She dipped her brush in a pot of black paint, having the intention of painting a badger. Her brush strokes cascaded across the material and for a second she was lost in thought, her mind concentrated on her piece of art.

It was not until the arrival of another girl she disliked, [with such ferocious intensity might she add.] that she glanced up, eyes narrowing as she followed the figure to where it stopped in front of Ariana. It was Janet Jackson. Sky would have turned back to her piece of artwork, she had no interest in the devil's best friend. However she was drawn to the sight as her observant skills marked out something unfamiliar. The two didn't seem at all as though they were acting friendly towards each other. No. On the contrary, Janet threw a dirty look at Ariana, one that Sky was sure would be returned by the fierce lion girl. Finding joy in such a potentially chaotic event, she stood up and made her way over, temporarily forgetting that she was still clutching her paintbrush.

“Well, well, I see Walker and Jackson are not friends anymore?” She smirked, merely amused at their unusual behavior. This was none of her business, she knew that; but she was curious.

“Tut, tut, Walker. I told you that temper of yours would only lead to inferior consequences, you've lost your dear friend now. I'm afraid that's what happens to cocky people like you.”

The comment was quite unnecessary, yet she found herself forgetting the promise to her dear mother, forgetting that she was here to make friends, not to provoke enemies. That had all sadly flown out the window. Right now, all she wanted was vengeance, sweet sweet revenge for that time the wretched gryffindor had so cruelly punched her in the face.

Aurelia skipped towards the little crafting station set up. She heard that there was another event and Auri was bubbling with excitement. Although not seeming like the type to like art, she loved it. Painting, drawing, crafting all of it! It made her feel at peace and helped her calm down. She heard there was even supposed to be food. So naturally, going was a must.

A couple of students had already gathered at the event and she located a section to make banners and a face painting section. Aurelia seized a Gryffindor cupcake and headed over to the face painting section. She greeted her charms professor: "Good day, Professor Vernantis! I hope you don't mind", she pointed down at the face paints. Then, while eating her cupcake with her left hand, she reached down with her right. She dipped her pointer finger into yellow paint and her middle finger into the black paint. Then, she raised them to her cheeks and drew a Hufflepuff flag. A yellow stripe on top, a black one right below. She did this on both cheeks and then cleaned her hand with a paper towel.

She also saw a couple of students talking. There seemed to be some tension between to Gryff's and Aurelia watched with a distaste. She hated when fellow housemates fought. She neared herself slowly, making sure to keep her distance. After watching for a second, she decided to introduce herself. Maybe this would take some tension off the girls. "Hiya! I'm Aurelia Roberts, proud Gryff and here to have fun!" Aurelia grinned, hoping that she had taken the attention off the tension.

She turned towards a boy standing not too far away. He was much older than Aurelia, but she didn't mind. "Nice cat", she always had a special place in her heart for these furry four-legged friends. "What's his/her name?"

OOC Question to @Aurelia Roberts; where did you do your outfit collage at; its so cute!
Piper notice the way that the boy called Alan seemed to totally ignore her; now most people would have been really upset and most likely thrown a fit but she didn't see any sense in acting like a doofus. She figured people who acted like that would get their just rewards...meaning the universe would take care of them all in due time. However since she was done with the gifts for her family as well as her own items to show support; she decided it was time to gather up her belongs take them over to her tent and find herself something more substantial to eat than just sweets. Honestly she appreciated the professors for putting out what they did but she had a bad habit of getting over the moon hyper any time she would eat sugar. Now of course they had some veggies and fruits as well but she was really hungry for some reason.

Taking great care she folded the Durmstrang flag she made for her dad and brother so nothing would get on it then used the Hufflepuff flag to wrap the animals she made for her mom and grandma so nothing would get on them just until she could get to her tent. Once they were in the safety of her trunk then all would be fine. Soon enough she was ready to leave the crafting area; she stood with every thing in her hands and took her leave.

"Hey May! Congrats on the big match tomorrow! Can't wait to see you fly, I bet you'll be great, wanna make a poster together?"

What was that high-pitched annoying sound she could hear? Goodness it hurt her poor ears. Ariana already knew who it was and a sour expression made its way onto her dainty features as she turned round to come face to face with her ex-best friend.

On reflex she stepped in front of May almost instantly, blocking Janet from her. “What do you want?!” She snapped rather haughtily, narrowing her eyes to green slits as she surveyed the girl in front of her. Janet threw a filthy look which Ariana returned gladly, “Come to yell at me again?” She inquired. “Or are you going to actually fight me this time, say that you show up a bit of bravado spirit this eh?”

The dispute between the two girls was dangerous given their similarity in character, Ariana was sure Janet would have a nasty comment to throw back at her. The girl had a knack for sass, which upon being friends, Ariana rather admired. Although lately it had become something to rival, to challenge, which wasn’t too pleasant at times.

She whipped her head back round sharply to the paints, grabbing at a few random colors, her face still set in a frown. She was so focused on controlling her increasing resentment towards Janet that she hardly registered what May was saying.

“After that, we can do the poster, and maybe Alan could join!”

“Yes, of course” She muttered distractedly, glancing out of the corner of her eye to observe whatever Janet was doing. Not that she cared. She didn't. She hated the girl, that was that.

"Hi Ariana,"

It was Alan. Ariana relaxed and flashed him a smile, resuming her seat next to him and May and laughing slightly at Tigers attempt to pounce on the cupcakes. She was glad that May had calmed down a little, she had looked awfully anxious upon initial meeting.

“Alan, are you going to be doing any face painting?” Ariana picked up one of the brushes, waving it in the air. “I think I'm going to have something simple, but pretty. Definitely yellow though, to support hufflepuff. I do hope they win, don't you?” She lifted her head, noting the other unfamiliar faces around her. It seemed that she had been so caught up in her aggressive dispute that she hadnt had a chance to meet the other unfamiliar people. Before she could turn around however, May had her brushes and materials ready and was motioning for Ariana to turn back so she could begin.

"Now Ari, what do you want, badger, lion eagle or the Hogwarts crest?"

She was pulled back to her senses, absentmindedly taking another brush from the assortments of materials, even though she had no intention of painting just yet. “Oh! Well, I was thinking of a few sunflowers around my cheeks, under my eye perhaps? Bright yellow of course!"She smiled. “I-Il try not to move around.” She said uncertainty. Although this would certainly be a challenge, she kept as still as possible, trying not to become distracted; though that wouldn't last long.

“Well, well, I see Walker and Jackson are not friends anymore?”

Ariana nearly choked on thin air. This really wasn't her day at all.

She gave a violent jolt, and the paint she had been examining splashed slightly into her hair, so that the brown waves were now partially covered in yellow paint. Not to mention her clothes. She was pretty sure that whatever May had been painting on her cheek was now ruined. Oh no, now they would have to start all over again.

Without stopping to apologize to May for the mess she had made, the gryffindor swivelled around, eyes burning with annoyance and teeth gritted in frustration.

“Tut, tut, Walker. I told you that temper of yours would only lead to inferior consequences, you've lost your dear friend now. I'm afraid that's what happens to cocky people like you.”

What Ariana would say next probably sounded awfully mean to anyone who had just met her, although that concept was hardly welcome, the young beater was hardly a hostile person in nature; she was quite the opposite really. Well at least most of the time. Then again, it wasn't everyday that she ran into two of her worst enemies at the same time. Life really hated her at present.

“What do you possibly want!” She half-yelled, stopping herself from progressing any further, for if she had done, there were a few words of good choice that definitely would have made way from her mouth. Instead she scoffed, “Janet and I-...” She began stiffly, for it still hurt to mention the gryffindors name. “...are fine. It's none of your business. Why don't you go back to whatever you were doing before and leave me alone. Oh, but then again I guess someone like you has nothing better to do than taunt me all day long. I know I'm amazing, but I don't need you following me around.” She said the last bit with a haughty air and a smirk on her face. It was meant as a joke, but she enjoyed the fact that she was twisting the snake's words. In her book, Evans deserved it anyway.

"Hiya! I'm Aurelia Roberts, proud Gryff and here to have fun!"

Ariana vaguely remembered the girl from the gryffindor slumber party and was glad to have another distraction from the malicious snake. She offered a hand for her to shake. “Hallo Aurelia, I'm Ariana, nice to meet you.” She gave her fellow gryffindor a smile. “Want to join all of us in making posters?”

Nell approached the crafting area nervously. Why she was nervous? No idea. She got quite a shock however when she everything that was on the tables. The items ranged from candies and sweets, to a flood of yellow and black attire, to various items to be used in crafting. There was also temporary hair dyes and face paints, which Nell had initially decided to stray away from. Nell made her way over to the table where she could make banners. Nothing wrong with some support, right? She picked up a somewhat large sheet of heavy duty paper and took a seat on the bench. Now for some colors. She would need yellows, blacks, and...that was about it. She took some yellow and black paint and set it beside her carefully. She took a brush and began painting the entire surface of the paper in vivid, yellow paint. Her hand ached slightly when she finished, but it didn't matter then. She then rinsed her brush and dipped it the black. Her mind found a picture of a badger and she began to draw. The outcome of her work was surprising, actually. The badger actually looked decent. nell then reached over and grabbed some white paint for the badgers head. She drew some white streaks and placed the brush in a cup of water. Now for the writing. Nell picked up a thinner brush and dipped it in the black. In large, bold letters she wrote: GO HUFFLEPUFF! Simple enough, yet it's encouraging. Perfect balance. With that, Nell set her creation aside to dry.

Ariana instantly reacted when Janet arrived by the two of them.
“What do you want?!” Ariana snapped at Janet, stepping in front of May, “Come to yell at me again? Or are you going to actually fight me this time, say that you show up a bit of bravado spirit this eh?”
Janet turned red with anger, if there was one thing she hated it was being called weak, Ariana had been friends with her for ages, and she knew when she could hit a nerve.
"Oh shut up Ariana, I have every right to be angry with you, and yeah, I am mad at you but I wouldn't want to go so far as to give you a permanent injury, we all know who would win in a fight," Janet smirked at this last part, to be honest in a fight they would probably be quite evenly matched, Janet and Ariana were both very strong for their age, but she knew this last comment would stir Ariana's temper up.
Janet turned bitterly away from them as Ariana babbled pointlessly with May and Alan, who had just arrived. Normally Janet would have introduced herself, but she couldn't bring her stubborn self to join in with Ariana's chatter.
It was the arrival of another enemy that caused her to spin round.
“Well, well, I see Walker and Jackson are not friends anymore? Tut, tut, Walker. I told you that temper of yours would only lead to inferior consequences, you've lost your dear friend now. I'm afraid that's what happens to cocky people like you.”
Ariana gave a violent jolt in her chair, causing the face paint May had done so far to go all over Ariana's hair and clothes.
Ugh stupid Sky, poking her nose in to everything. Janet could hardly keep herself from leaping and attacking her straight away. The fire burning in the pit of her stomach grew steadily bigger every word that escaped that filthy slytherin's mouth.
“Janet and I-...are fine. It's none of your business. Why don't you go back to whatever you were doing before and leave me alone. Oh, but then again I guess someone like you has nothing better to do than taunt me all day long. I know I'm amazing, but I don't need you following me around.”
Janet could hardly keep herself from laughing at this comment, if she had been friends with Ariana she would've given her a high five, as it was she just stopped herself from looking at the girl entirely, trying to hide the small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
"That's right, we're fine, now piss off, slither back to your hole little snake. I don't know why you care if we're friends or not, maybe you're hoping you won't be alone in being friendless anymore." She shot her a dirty look for good measure, "Or maybe it's simply your wonderful personality, wanting to poke your nose into everything and make every situation worse."
Janet was seething with rage, otherwise she probably wouldn't have been quite so rude (however much she deserved it) normally she would've just thrown her a sassy remark, not attack her personality like this. But however much she hated her, she couldn't deny that Sky wasn't a wimp, rude comments mostly sailed over her head.
"Hiya! I'm Aurelia Roberts, proud Gryff and here to have fun!"
Janet immediately turned around and plastered a fake smile across her face, wanting to make a friendly impression, she wasn't going to let her temper affect this girl who hadn't done anything.
"Hey! I'm Janet, I'm Gryffindor too," She gestured to the untouched paper and pens on the table, "wanna make the posters with us? I'm guessing you're supporting hufflepuff."

Late... late... oh why was Lucia so late?
It wasn't like she had anything better to do, was it?!
Quickly tying her hair back into a high ponytail and grabbing her wooden sewing box, she made her way to the courtyard where students were making things to support their teams.
Yes, they would probably have embroidery materials there, but it was so much easier to come prepared, wasn't it?
As Lucia entered the courtyard, she looked around to see if any of her friends were here - and no, they weren't. In fact, the only person she recognised was a girl she had seen in the common-room a few times - what was her name again? M... it began with an M, Lucia was sure. M... May! Yes, that was it (she hoped). But, as it turned out, it didn't make any difference because Lucia sat down on the nearest available table to begin her project, and it was empty.
Placing her box on the table, she cleared a space for her to work and then sat for a moment, trying to figure out what to do.
No ideas came to her. Just brilliant.
To remidy this, Lucia picked out some yellow threads in different shades and stroked them - yes, she stroked her threads - as she tried to think of something to do with them.

London Quidditch Stadium - Craft station
Image posted by the member
Over the last few days it seemed the energy among the student body was starting to escalate, and Aisling could only imagine it was because the big Quidditch game was just around the corner. Even though she still didn't quite know what Quidditch was (besides the few things she'd been told), she had seen that most everyone was excited to spectate the game tomorrow and root for their home team. Which was what again? Oh, right- Hufflepuff! Although she hadn't attended her first year, she wasn't opposed to showcasing a bit of school spirit and was eager to get prepared for tomorrow's big game.

After her morning jog she washed off, changed her clothes, and then made a beeline for the crafting station with an extra tank top in hand. It didn't take her long to cross the field and arrive. It seemed several had had the same idea, and she greeted everyone with a boisterous, "Hello!" Those who had seen Aisling in passing over the last two weeks were likely quite used to her energy, while for others it would take some getting used to, if it wasn't outright annoying.

She overheard the tail end bits of others congratulating May on being a part of the big match tomorrow, and Aisling couldn't help but blurt out, "Good luck! I've never seen a Quidditch match before, so I can't wait!" She quickly shifted towards the nearby boxes of merchandise, fetching herself a fluffy headband of badger ears that she promptly fixed into her bright, poofy curls.

Blue eyes widened as she overheard a bit of rising tension, so thick it could be cut with a butter knife. Blinking, her gaze bounced between Janet, Ariana and Sky. Thankfully, Aurelia was already making moves to try and ease her way into the situation so Aisling figured it was best to keep a distance. No sense in poking an already agitated hornet's nest if she didn't need to, right?

Spotting the table for face painting she approached Professor Vernatis and gestured for a seat, "May I?" Of course she could, but it was always polite to ask! Using anything reflective to look at, she'd also ask for the Professor's help in getting her face painted in a simple fashion to represent a badger. Advised that the paint was charmed to last a full day she grinned, excited that she'd be sporting the look for the match. Her face paint was relatively easy enough, needing just a bit of white on her nose, between her brows, and across her forehead. Then, with a bit of black she colored the underside of her nose as well as the sides, leading up to her brows and over her eyelids, then further up in streaky stripes towards her hairline.

Every so often she'd have to pause to let bits dry, and as she did she'd peek around for other things to do. Spotting Lucia settle at a table she tilted her head slightly, watching in amused curiosity as the Hufflepuff idly wondered what to do, and certainly not at all bothered by the sight of her stroking her thread like a proper weirdo.

Cupping a hand near her mouth she politely called out to Lucia. "Hey!" If she noticed her quickly she wouldn't have to shout a second time, but whether it took one, or several tries, Aisling would offer an apologetic smile and gesture towards her box once Lucia looked her way, "Sorry, noticed you've got a sewing kit. Want to help me sew something? I'm not particularly good with a needle." And, given that Lucia had a box of supplies that she had walked in with, Aisling could only assume she was talented with one!

Not wanting to exclude anyone she would peek around for any stragglers. Spotting Nell nearby, who had just finished her poster, she'd also call to her with a bright smile. "Hey, you! Do you want to try and sew something with me?" Was Aisling already assuming that Lucia would be down to help her? Oh, absolutely! This was, after all, a team effort!

It did indeed take quite a few of Aisling's shouts before Lucia realised it was herself who was being hailed. She had finally decided what she would make - a yellow bow with an embroidered Hufflepuff crest at its centre - and had traded the threads for some scraps of paper and a pencil. Currently, she was planning out where everything would go.
'Oh Merlin,' thought Lucia with a strange mix of horror and resignation, 'An enthusiastic redhead wearing badger ears and facepaint wants to use my sewing supplies.'
There weren't many things that Lucia Fox coveted enough to not let anyone else use it, but her sewing box was one of them.
It held so many memories for her - the moment she tried sewing for the first time, the moment when Ebony had given it to her for Christmas, the moment when she completed her first real project - and she couldn't bear to let it get damaged, or stolen, or even destroyed.
Of course, she didn't really think that anyone would do that on purpose, but accidents happen.
She needed a way to refuse, but gently. She the girl wouldn't feel that she was being hostile.
"Sorry," Lucia told her, attempting a little white lie, "I don't have enough need-"
Then her gaze fell to her little felt needle book... Which contained ten needles of different sizes, arranged neatly.
"Oh," she said lamely.

Permission to place Colt at Event
Everett was wandering the campgrounds, looking for different things to do before soon heading back to America. This trip had come and gone so quickly, and while Everett had initially been skeptical of coming at all. Surprisingly, he ended up enjoying the trip. The Hogdorks weren't as bad as they had initially seemed, and Dumbstrank was just as interesting as he expected. It almost made him sad to be leaving Europe, although he was excited to be back in a comfort zone. Being surrounded by strangers that thought they were better than you could be exhausting. Having to constantly be proving yourself, to let others know that they were in the presence of someone amazing, ugh, he couldn't stand it anymore.

As he was walking the grounds he spotted a tent that was obnoxiously full of yellow. Don't get him wrong, it wasn't a bad color but in it's apparent excess in support of the Hufflesnuffs he couldn't stand it. Too much of any color would make him tired of it, even red. Which is his favorite. He scoffed and started to walk away from the tent when he thought he heard his name. Couldn't be. None of his friends would be caught dead making... crafts. He paused and turned on his heel to survey the tent to see if there was anyone he knew.

He pulled his sunglasses up and peered towards the tent, he didn't see anyone initially and then locked eyes with the last person he expected. "Colt? Great." He didn't know Colt that well, but he was in Ilvermorny in the small group of kids that came for the trip, so he at least knew his lack-a-daisy without a care affect. It annoyed him beyond belief. His voice continued to call out to him to join the crafting, his voice painfully slow. With a groan of reluctance and his hands stuffed in his pockets he approached the tent, grabbing a cupcake that was the least-yellow possible. He approached Colt with a slight wave. "Hey Colt, what are you doing?" His attention was mostly focused on the cupcake rather than what Colt was actually working on.
