Inside the office
The Elevator Pitch: An old man obsessed with mysteries leaves behind an inheritance, and in his will he explains the rules of a game where the eligible 7 heirs will participate to get their share of the inheritance. His trusted lawyer manages the game and will make sure his friend's will is fulfilled.
In one sentence: Seven people participate in mystery game to get their inheritance.
Three Things I Know:
1- I know how I want the game rules to be.
For curious souls ↓↓↓ (I guess it counts as a bit of spoilers?)
2- I know that some of the seven are family members that were not known to the others before.
3- I know they're staying in the grandpa's mansion/manor for two weeks which is the duration of the game.
Three things I don't know:
1- I don't know what's the lawyer's gain in managing the game.
2- I don't know who I want to win the game.
3- I don't know if I want the grandma (the grandpa's wife) to be alive.
The promise: I want this story to make the reader feel puzzled.
I want them to wonder who's the keeper and why is the Grandpa torturing them like that when he doesn't even get to watch this game, it can't be he was obsessed with mysteries to this point, right?
The challenge: I know I only need to pick one, but more applied, so why not
- A locked door: the office door is locked and they have to find its key
- An unwanted inheritance: one of them may end up so frustrated that they don't want to participate anymore.
- A lie told at dinner: there will be a lot of lies at different times
- Something buried beneath a tree
- An embarrassing lie
- A secret
- Something very very pink
- A monster I could argue the grandpa is a monster tho
- A sport game
- A story within a story
Task one successfully completed, proceeding to the next one.....

Reducio
The rules:
Each player has a role, and each role comes with its own difficulties.
The keeper has the key and they must hide it for two weeks, if it's found before then, that person loses and does not get their share of inheritance.
The golden child gets the bigger share of the inheritance if everyone besides the keeper wins, or the whole inheritance if they win alone.
The traitor has the opportunity to betray the The players and join the keeper, in which case the two will either win together or lose together.
The players are everyone besides the keeper regardless of whether or not they have another role, and if one of them, that's not the golden child, wins alone, they're all considered winners.
The roles are hidden at the beginning of the game, players can choose to say what their role is or lie about it, and everyone can try to find out each other's roles.
