Alan would give a slight nod. He was sure he had already told her about it though, but it had been a while and it was a stressful time. The past months of schools had passed by like on auto pilot as the mood was everything but pleasant. It only got worse with the announcement from the professors. Alan would give her a kind smile, genuine, "Thank you".

With Santario stepping away to get some food, or a burger as she had specified, the third year would shift his focus towards Syl who he had been talking with as well. Alan got lost in his thoughts for a moment, which was nothing new and just something that would happen every now and then. It took him a few seconds to remember where he was and that he had been in the middle of a conversation.

Alan would shake his head, focusing back on the conversation he currently lead, as he gave Sylvain an apologetic smile for getting caught up in his mind for a moment. This smile soon turned into a more positive on as he caught sight of the card within the students hand. He did not even have to read the text below the image as he had read it dozens of times in the past. "Th-That's a good one,"he complimented, his eyes growing soft as he stared at the card. "One of my favorites actually".

"Sure! Th-There is a hill by the campsite entrance, we could meet th-there and show talk about our collections," he accepted the offer, his gaze shifting back to Sylvain's face to give him a smile that made his eyes spark in a soft green. He would finally face the girl he had yet to get to know really. He had seen her before, he thought, but could not remember where and when or if they talked at all. "Hey, I'm Alan," he introduced himself to the girl, a little meek perhaps.

Even though Santario was gone now, they would not stay alone for long as soon enough another two girls approached the trio; a girl he knew and one he might have seen before so he was sure that she must attend Hogwarts as well. He would greet the two of them with a nod. "Don't worry, you didn't interrupt! I'm Alan and th-the pleasure is all mine," he would retort in the same fashion, offering Dee his hand for a practiced handshake. Another nod would be given to Ileen. "I'm good, excited for th-the game! You?"

“Hello, Sky! I’m glad you decided to join me,”

"No problem at all," she offered politely, "I say- it does make a change being out here is the sun. I was afraid i'd end up looking as white as a sheet all year round.” She laughed softly, “Oh i'm fine with the fruit for now, although I might go and get something else later.”

"Ahem- Allo, is this the Barh-bay-que?" Sky turned her head, noticing an unfamiliar boy addressing their trio. He must have been from Durmstrang; noting the accent and the unfamiliarity. Then again, he might very well have been a Hogwarts student. Sky never paid any attention much to the other various students of the school, she wouldn't have known. However the girl put on a tentative smile, noting the nervous stature of the boy. The tips of his ears had gone red slightly and he was fiddling with his sleeves. Maybe he was anxious that none of them would understand his accent? Skys expression softened.

"Oh is that vatermelon? I've always vanted to try it!"

Sky blinked, watching his face light up at such a small treat. She suppressed the urge to laugh or giggle at his sweet antics. What was wrong with her today? Instead she minimised it to a genuine smile, listening as he introduced himself. "I am Milosh Rehnquist, but you can call me Milo. And you three are?"

Carolyn introduced herself, answering the boys question. Sky however, thought it better to show him where it was, just to prevent him from losing his way again. He was alone too, and the young snake [uncharacteristically] felt a chance to make new friends, acquaintances, maybe even enemies. Well she couldn't just return home and tell her mother that she had failed to achieve her promise. Sky could bear to disappoint her mother, who was so loving, so naturally kind- almost the opposite of Sky really. Then again, Sky was alike her father in many ways. He had attended durmstrang. It was clear to say that Sky resented him greatly, she felt as though she was never perfect enough for him. It was something that lead to continuous arguments whenever he was home, stubborn natures clashing would possibly be the worst arguments to endure. Maybe that was why Sky was glad to be here, turning over a new leaf, away from her father.

And maybe secretly she did want to be like her dear mother in some way at least. The slytherin often came across very abrasive and haughty upon meeting, princess-like and stuck up. How was it that her mother merely expressed the air of friendly clarity about her without doing much at ll?

She tucked these thoughts away delicately at the back of her mind, adjusting to the real world again. She addressed Milo, offering a dainty hand for him to shake.

“Charmed to meet you Milo” She said brightly, her voice still carrying its high upperclass tones.

“I could show you there if you’d like?”

Nell turned around to see a familiar face. "Oh...hello Nell. It's good to see a familiar face. Nell smiled shyly. "Oh hello Carolyn." Nell really wanted to get to know Carolyn, but both of them seemed to be at least a bit antisocial. Nell decided she would make small talk with Carolyn at some point. There was a whole trip ahead of the two, and they would have to talk sometime. It would be really awkward for Nell to disregard someone she knew. Just as Nell was going to say something, she heard a voice behind her. It was another student-one Carolyn seemed to know quite well. Nell picked up her food and stood around for a bit, giving Carolyn's friend a slight smile. "Nice seeing you, Carolyn," Nell said quietly. Nell began to walk away when she saw a boy approach them. She stayed behind for a bit as he began to speak. His voice was a voice with a strong accent of...Russian? "Ahem- Allo, is this the Barh-bay-que?" said the boy. His English didn't seem very stable, but Nell made out what he was saying pretty well. She assumed he was from Durmstrang or something. However, Carolyn gave Milosh his answer before Nell could, much to Nell's pleasure. Nell departed from the BBQ for she was getting pretty hungry. She made her way over to a picnic bench where she would begin eating her vegetables and fruits which, to her surprise, were extremely tasty.

After having watched the group disband, and somehow being left on his own, Elias was a tad unsure as to what he should probably do with himself. He was rather hungry now though, and so, after collecting himself a plate of food the young Ravenclaw set off in search of someone he knew. He wanted a tad quieter and less hectic conversation. Perhaps he could find wherever it was that Eyre and the girl with the burn cream had gotten off too, or perhaps even Thomas Baines.

Truthfully, Elias didn't exactly want to talk to Thomas, especially considering they had been arguing earlier that day, but at least it would be some sort of conversation! Eventually, out of the corner of his eye, Elias spotted Eyre talking to a boy who looked to be quite a bit bigger than even Eli himself. And Eli wasn't exactly small. Perhaps he'd watch from a distance and wait until Eyre returned to wherever he was sitting in the shade, or, if it appeared that his friend was in some sort of grave danger it was always possible for him to interfere. For the time being, he'd most definitely wait and watch, however.

Tossing a singular carrot into his mouth, the Ravenclaw boy stood a tad awkwardly, watching, and waiting.

Serena wiggled her nose as she stood there, babbling like an utter fool. She exhaled and paused to take a breathe, as she realised that she was just talking over Howard. Maybe it was a bit rude of her to ramble on at the poor guy.

"O-oh, sor-" Serena started to reply as a girl she did not recognise claimed Howard actually liked raw meat. It seemed a little odd. Well, rather, it seemed like it might not be the most healthy but in reality, she had no idea. Perhaps it was healthy to eat it raw. How was she supposed to know? It's not like she actually knew the first thing about cooking whatsoever! Hell, she was guessing what he was eating. She could not even tell if it was meat! That was an utter guess! The Hufflepuff started to pull back the plate when she jumped a little, taken back by a sudden 'no'.

She tilted her head at Howard's words. He liked raw meat. But cooked was fine too. She blinked. Right. Okay. Maybe she should not have interfered. He seemed to be accepting of the burger patty though so she smiled and nodded, pushing the plate into his hands - mostly so she did not have to stand there holding two plates like she was greedy. "Okay!" She replied with a grin, calming down as she realised that her act was not totally weird. She was definitely relieved that he did not think she was odd or that she did not have to be responsible for making his burger and trying to figure out what the heck to put in it.

Turning her attention towards the company, she smiled at the girls with a nod, as they both said they could get their own burgers. She was about to introduce herself in response when Howard did it for her. Looking over to the one that Howard did not know the name of, she smiled, "Greta, was it?" She thought she heard the one called Ella say that. "Hi, nice to meet you all!" She replied, as she held out her hand for a handshake, if anyone wanted it. They seemed nice. Ella's beaming face made Serena smile more. She seemed nice, "Which schools are you from?"

Howard said something about going to make burgers, "Right! Yes! Let's do that!" She added, suddenly remembering that the whole point was to get food. She kind of... forgot? She got distracted wondering where the others went to school. Perhaps she would be playing a few of them in the upcoming game, if they were on their school's quidditch team. Durmstrang, at least. Her outfit made it very clear that she was a Hufflepuff into quidditch. If her top did not scream 'quidditch' and her shoes did not scream 'Hufflepuff' she honestly did not know what would.

Phyllis quickly bowed out, though Serena could not for the life of her work out how making burgers was fun. It was more... necessary? At least, she personally got no pleasure out of cooking. She was just hungry. It was the only reason she got out of bed and if she did not start eating soon, her stomach would likely growl way too loud. Nonetheless, she nodded, "Alright, have fun!" She replied, not really sure what else to actually say.

A fascinating show, indeed. Watching real people in a casual atmosphere was quite a research by itself. Not in the school robes, not the official business or classes. But right there — with real food, real lives and real emotions. Lowering eyes, stuttering, nervous sipping, quiet voices. The whole awkwardness of the useless request, which despite being fulfilled was withdrawn without proper explanations. Not only the man confused the woman, but he also left before the woman finished her phrase. Meenauh shook her head. So rude.

The way professor Jensen apologised and how she shifted to eat her burger didn't make it less awkward in general. Meenauh put down her burgers (half of them already gracefully eliminated) and silently watched the goddess eating the food. She felt the urge to talk because a lot of weird thoughts were whirling in her head. The goddess was confused, it seemed, not less than Meenauh. But was Meenauh confused? No experience in any kind of relationship placed Meenauh below 0 on any routine talk about love or anything close to it. Volumes of books on human psychology allowed her to make conclusions out of thin air as if the relationship was math. Of course, it wasn't. The hair tucking behind her ear was the green light to talk. Just as professor Jensen was taking another bite, she talked:

While her tent mates ventured out towards the BBQ, Dymphna was back in the tent making sure that all was prepared for Celestina, the pink Pygmy Puff she adopted a few years prior. Once everything on her packing checklist was ticked off twice, ensuring that she had brought enough pet food for the entire trip and that nothing had been lost while travelling by portkey, she felt comfortable enough to have some fun. "Alright, lovely. D'you wanna come with me or stay here?" Celestina was bouncing around by her feet, seeming excited and wanting to be held. She could be shy when it came to meeting new people, but quickly got used to her new owner. Whoever had returned her to the shop was missing out on such a sweetheart.

She scooped her up, placing her in the basket that was prepared for her just for the trip. Dymphna didn't dare put her in her unorganized school bag during the school year and she wasn't about to start now. Usually Celestina would stay in the dorms, resting on Dymphna's bed or a special spot in her trunk that she'd made cosy for her. If she wasn't tagging along on her morning walks or study sessions with Reid, that is. It wasn't uncommon for Celestina to be seen napping in the crook of her arm or playing with Alexx's Pgymy Puff Rosalie (suspected to be from the same litter).

The basket was a good idea. Celestina was tucked safely away, peeking out from the top and hiding away when anyone got too close. Dymphna was able to eat freely, munching on finger foods as she observed the people around her. She knew that Bloom was around somewhere, but she hadn't seen her yet. Phaedra was talking to Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome. She shot her a smile before moving on to one of the other food tables. Of course, that was when she bumped into Oliver Hart, causing Celestina to let out a squeak in surprise. "S'alright," she tried to calm her, making sure her plate hadn't spilled on her or her dress. "Sorry, Oliver."

They hadn't spoken to one another since the last Ravenclaw Quidditch practice a while ago, though she had seen him around the common room since then. "How've you been? Are you enjoying your summer so far?" It was easier to talk to him these days, despite his obvious crush on her. He had helped her during one of the worst moments of her time at Hogwarts. She knew that she could trust him, but it was still a tad awkward. Boys were just like that. They still had cooties, didn't they? Her eyes flicked back over to where Phaedra and that boy were chatting. Maybe not. Huh. Turning back to Oliver, she gave him a smile. "You've met Celestina, haven't you?" She was still hiding but the pink fur poked out the top of the basket.

In the midst of Eyre's sunburned drama the ensuing aftermath of Callie spilling water over the poor boy, Callie had gotten entirely distracted by the nearby food table. She couldn't seem to spot where Elias, Eyre, Rose and a few others had disappeared off to but didn't seem to mind thanks to the presence of the nearby food table. Despite her tiny stature Callie simply adored food in it's entirety. Well almost, as far as Callie was concerned broccoli could go and perish in a dark hole never to be seen again. Put simply Callie would never willingly consume broccoli unless her life depended on it and even then it was a rather large maybe. Celery sticks however had become one of Callie's favourite vegetables judging by the fact that she was now on her twentieth stick and showed no signs of stopping anytime soon. Such a deviation from Callie's usual adoration for anything with copious amounts of sugar was odd but Callie was too far down the rabbit hole to pull herself away.

However Callie's reign of terror against celery sticks didn't last for long as she eventually thought it was well past time to hunt down the poor sunburned boy and check if he was alright. She had ended up spilling water all over him after all! It took some willpower to drag herself away from the celery sticks but she eventually amassed the strength and hunted the crowd for the boy in question. It didn't take long for Callie to find her poor victim only to see him chatting with an older looking boy who looked rather scary. Callie was by all means an outgoing girl but at the sight of such a strong looking boy even her own courage had limits, so instead she hunted for a familar face she had lost.

Eventually Callie spotted Elias hiding at the food table and opted to opted to creep up behind Elias and jump up to place her hands on his shoulder in order to give the boy a fright instead of a normal greeting. "Boo!" She exclaimed before bursting into giggles. "Sorry! Got distracted by the food again...I thought I'd lost you!" As if on cue Callie crunched the last of her celery sticks. "I hope tomato man is feeling better.. I'd ask but that guy he's talking to looks kinda scary.."

Amara tucks her hair back behind her ear and dusts off her dress as the boy formulates his own apology. His heavy accent and slow speech is endearing. "Yes, I'm okay, great actually." As the boy blushes, making him even more adorable, Amara takes his hand again to shake it. "I am Amara Dragamior by the way, a pleasure to run into you. Though I do promise, that this is not how I usually meet attractive strangers."

Amara's brain is whizzing and working at 100 kilometers per hour. She did not expect to interact much with the students from other schools, but already Amara wants to get to know this boy. Something about him draws her attention in a way she has never experienced before. Amara knows what a crush is but this could not possibly be one, right? You have to know someone's name to like them, right? Regardless, Amara will try her hardest to keep a conversation going.

With the hand that is not clasped in the foreigner's, Amara fiddles with one of the strings on her dress. She looks down to see her carrots on the dirt, well she will not be eating those now will she.

Things seemed to be going smoothly, people filtering from one place to the next as they toted around plates of salty food and unknown drinks and accents for days, chattering loudly towards their friends, old or new. The London air was acrid with distant smog as Johannes bent slightly down to pick off a blade of green grass, pale fingers absentmindedly fiddling with the waxy thing as he stared out half-heartedly. The grass field that surrounded the Quidditch Stadium was a long card of uniform green, clipped with expert hands and awash with warm light from each of its many occupants. It looked almost fake in that regard, so different from the distant memory of sundrenched and flowerfilled meadows of the Polish countryside and the much more recent memory of pavement and neutral bricked Frankfurt that Johannes had called home for half his life. A random part of him wondered what the turf would look like utterly deserted, what muggles saw. Ah well.

It was very clear that Johann was getting quite bored of his current situation- a funny thing, for he had only been sitting alone for a few minutes, but he was used to constantly moving around. Whether it meant running errands back and forth from noon till evening or trekking around Durmstrang's grounds with his boys, it didn't matter. That was the whole reason why he had just dumped his luggage down and left his tent before he even saw his tentmates. He had arrived quite late to the party, they were already out by then, and sitting in an empty tent alone wasn't the greatest way to spend his first few minutes at 'summer camp'. It was the back to back travelling that got to him, honest.

Ah, but it didn't really matter anyway, did it? People were gathering around in larger groups by the minute, their conversations melting together into one everlasting buzz of noise as their differences fell away. Briefly, Johannes entertained the thought of leaving his seat to get something from the refreshment tables- he wasn't particularly thirsty or anything, it just felt slightly strange to sit there empty-handed- but the prospect of returning only for his seat to be stolen away by an oblivious partygoer only soured the idea unpleasantly.

He was being so foolish to keep to himself when his entire excuse for coming out was to form better connections. His schoolmates had none of the same problem- they took to the attention doled out like flies to honey- but then again, the Saur boy was more than aware that it was common knowledge that he was a bad influence anyway. If they wanted to talk to him, maybe they could just do it themselves. By this point, he would have rathered the company of the most annoying kid in his gang than being alone, not that he'd ever say it out loud.

The bitter taste of regret flooded his mouth as he pulled his hands out of where they had been firmly resting in his pockets, twisting at the multiple silver rings decorating them uneasily. Still slouched out upon his chair, all he needed was a bit of smudgy eyeliner to truly become the emo-punk disaster he truly was. Chipped black nail polish and all.

Go to the summer camp they said. It would be better there. Safe, it was- safer than anything Alexander Manfred was working on in West Germany. Fun? Debatable.
