Books, books, and more books

Miranda glanced up as Mouse walked over to the bookshaleves, then resumed reading about a dragon's skeletal structure and how they used slight magic to stay aloft, because otherwise their bones would have to be hollow, and terribly weak, or they'd never achieve liftoff.

It's amazing how the dragons can avoid being seen by Muggles on a daily basis. They must be quite good at hiding, or the Obliviators would never be able to get all the memories of the few who did see them erased, she thought idly. Although, I'm sure they don't get them all, because I know there are some Muggles who still believe dragons exist, along with unicorns, griffins and what have you.

"Hey, I just wanted to ask... I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you... but do you want to meet up later in the common room? I've never really met anyone who love books, or magical creatures as much as me so it would be nice to talk to someone who did for a change..." Mouse asked suddenly, and Miranda looked up to see she'd found a new book with some kind of multi-headed serpent on it.

"I'd love to," Miranda replied with an easy smile. "Seeing as I feel much the same. Not many people properly appreciate magical beasts around here."
