Tessa yelped, as she almost bumped into a wall. The walls at Hogwarts were ever changing and it was Tessa’s first week. As she turned around, climbing back onto the stairs, a sudden sound played behind her. As curiosity got the better of her, she turned around, and there laid a single letter, with a bronze seal on top.
Her mind swam with questions and she opened the letter
Inside, it read: enter with caution, but beware
It’s part of a rather nasty affair
Although I might be covered in hair
You will find what’s inside as sweet as a pear,
5 may enter but 3 come out, so treat everything you see
with care
So,left, right, front, and there and enter only if you dare.
I have been trapped here for many years, and now it’s
time to show my flair.
With that, the letter crumpled by itself and fell to the floor. Tessa stood astonished. A few minutes before, all that was on her mind was to get to her class, but now…
She pushed the letter into her bag and decided to go for her class first, trying to push the letter out of her mind, but to no avail. Now, Hogwarts felt creepy, almost as if it had hidden secrets.

Bella was walking to her joint Gryffindor-Slytherin class when she saw something really strange. It was just a usual school day, with nothing really special happening (except life at Hogwarts is always really interesting).
She was walking behind a Gryffindor girl who she presumed was going to be her classmate, seeing that they were walking up the stairs towards the same classroom, but then something weird happened.
The other girl, at the top of stairs, reached down to pick up some sort of...letter/parchment/paper thingy? Bella was too far away to see, and she wouldn't pry if its private, but she was instantly curious and what it may be. As she walked closer, she was able to get a glimpse of the first words on the paper but forced her eyes away from it as she passed the other girl, knowing that she shouldn't spy.
But Bella coulnd't stop thinking of the first words on the paper. Enter with caution, but beware.... She shook her head, thinking she must have read it wrong, when she heard something. Bella abruptly stopped and turned around, watching as the paper literally disintegrated in the other girl's hand.
During class, Bella couldn't help but wonder had just happened. She tried to concentrate, but it was simply too mysterious and exciting for her to take her mind off it.
After the bell rang, Bella jumped up and walked quickly to meet up with the other girl who was previously in the hallway with her.
"Hi! My name is Bella Light. First year Slytherin, who was just in the class with you. Can I ask you a question? Umm...I was in the hallways behind you before class started, and I saw that you picked up a piece of paper but then it...disintegrated? I'm sorry, I shouldn't pry if its none of my business, but may I ask if you are just as confused and curious as I am or if you know what happened?"

Tessa jumped, shocked that anyone would know about it She dropped her voice to a whisper, and said, Sorry, you…you must be mistaken. I didn’t see any letter. Then she hurried away into the classroom dropping her bag and sitting down.
Tessa couldn’t believe any one had saw, especially Bella, she was in slytherin and she had presumed everyone in that house was mean. Oh well, maybe she was just curious, maybe too curious for her own good, Tessa thought. But what did the letter really mean, was it true, was there 4 more people supposed to recieve the letter too?

Bella was just in the hallways, talking with a friend, when she heard the rustling of paper. As she glanced up, she wondered what was going on. Bella caught a glimpse of a girl's hair before she turned the corner and disappeared. Chasing the other girl, she ran until she caught up to the girl.
"Hey, um...what's this?" Bella held up the piece of paper. "Did you drop it on accident?"

OOC Notes: Hi Tessa! I was thinking that each of the letter had a message and maybe part of a riddle that could only be seen with the light? The riddle was "My first is in chocolate but no in ham. My second is in cake and also in jam. My third at tea-time is easily found. Altogether, this is a friend who is often around. What is it?
Answer: "c" is the first letter in “chocolate,” “a” is the second letter in “cake” and “jam,” and “t” is the third letter in “tea-time.”

Paisley was walking down the hallway after class had ended. The corridor was buzzing with students, making it very hard to walk around. There were students all around who were chatting with their friends, rushing to their next class, or hurrying towards the Great Hall.
Paisley also moved around through the crowd, when she noticed two girls standing near the wall. One of them she recognized as her fellow Gryffindor, the other was a girl from her previous class.
She noticed both of them were looking intently at a piece of paper.
Paisley slowed down.
She could have sworn she heard one of them say something about Latin?
Her curiosity immediately got the better of her. She told herself she would only take a quick peek. She wasn't trying to be a busybody. She was simply curious. There was nothing wrong with being curious... right?
Unfortunately, as she tried to sneak a glance at the paper, she accidentally bumped into the Gryffindor girl.
Urghhh,what mess have I gotten myself into? Paisley thought to herself.
Both girls turned to look at her.
"Umm... s-sorry." Paisley gave them an awkward smile. "I was only wondering what was on the paper. Errm... I hope you guys don't mind." She stammered
She glanced nervously at the mysterious piece of paper before quickly looking back at them.
"I heard you say something about Latin... or... not?" she continued, her words becoming more tangled by the second. "I-I guess I was being a bit rude. I'm sorry for peeking. I was only—well..."
She paused, her cheeks warming with embarrassment.
"Curious?"
Paisley gave them an apologetic little smile, hoping they wouldn’t get angry at her.

Tessa blinked, why were three people in this mess now! She thought quickly, than grabbed their two hands and dragged them to the third floor toilet, before pushing them all into a cubicle. She ensured nobody was looking before whispering, Bella, I really don’t know, what did your letter say? Tessa shook her head, feeling something cold, there was definitely something weird in this situation.
Before Bella could answer. The hissing sound came again. Tessa through down her hands. She was getting tired of that sound! Yet again, for the third time that day, a letter floated to her feet, on it, it wrote in cursive, Paisley Emmeline Fox. Was there someone watching us and just sending down letters whenever someone else gets involved? Tessa thought, annoyed.
Before paisley could pick the letter up, there was suddenly a bang at the toilet. It was a low menacing growl. Tessa almost jumped, tightly holding on to the toilets handrails,She felt the ground shudder, whatever was outside was definitely big, and here for something. The hissing sound rang again, louder this time, Come find me, it hissed, the sound coming from everywhere but nowhere at the same time. Suddenly, everything stopped, and the sounds were nowhere to be seen.
Before Bella could answer. The hissing sound came again. Tessa through down her hands. She was getting tired of that sound! -Do you think the creature is the legendary basilisk? Wait...it's dead, isn't it?- Paisley asked. She showed the other her letter. - The second letter is A!! But what does yours says, Bella and Tessa?- Paisley said.
She thought it is possible to be a basilisk, but when Bella showed her her own letter it says the first is in chocolate but not in ham which means it starts with C and then an A.
It couldn't possibly be a ca...t, right?? What about a giant cat...it is possible... Paisley thought to herself. It is going to be an adventure, with Bella and Tessa.
Suddenly, they heard a loud banging at the door. Ohno! Paisley thought. A female voice sounded instead, " Bella, Tessa and Paisley!! Are you three in there??" It was one of the prefect's voice. - We are sooo in trouble.- said Paisley to the other two. Because she suddenly remembered that the next class is starting soon!! Laura sat in the potions classroom when suddenly two girls burst in. She remembered them as Paisley and Tessa she had seen them both by the Magic Cellar shop. They sat down exactly next to Laura and started whispering urgently. Laura knew she should not listen but her curiosity was to big. She leaned in and heard something about hissing a giant cat and about disintegrating letters. Wow that seems cool and important. Then she heard the word secret. " Hi I'm Laura and I hope I am not being rude or disrespectful or anything like that but I wanted to know what you were talking about I am really sorry I just am very curious it sounds cool. And I just heard something about a giant cat and disintegrating letters ? And hissing of course " Sorry about me eavesdropping. Laura wanted to really know what was going on. But she felt a bit embarrassed by her curiosity and her apologies but she did not want to take chances after her fight with Jessica even though they had made it up again. Laura kinda hoped it would be interesting and she really hoped they would tell and not tell her to mind her own beeswax.

Against her will, Tessa took a deep breath and explained everything.
From the hissing sound to the letters to the cat. What could cat be?
An acronym? A short form? Who knew. Should we tell our professors, Tessa wondered, she brushed the thought away, nobody would want that, and we might get in trouble too.
Suddenly, yet again, the process started again. This time, Tessa, paisley, Bella and Laura were whisked to somewhere else. The potions classroom whirled away and they were magically transported to another place. The hissing sound started again and this time, it didn’t stop. Another letter floated down, Laura’s initials embedded on it.
Words emerged from the hissing. “Well, I thought you would never come.” Everyone gasped. Tessa hurriedly turned, trying to find the source of the sound. The voice chuckled again. “No use, no use, all you can do now is play the game” Tessa shuddered and almost fell against paisley.

" Wow that is so cool but we should definitely not tell professors about. One they would either tell us it's nothing or they would be like kids stay away from it like we are babies she exclaimed.
Suddenly the room started turning and they were whisked into what looked like a ..... Laura could not explain it. " Where where are we Laura stuttered all her excitement and courage gone.
