Bella and Em followed Xio to the courtyard, and as they stopped and bent down to pick up the dropped scrolls, Xio dashed ahead in excitement. By the time they reached her friend, Xio had already started to throw the scrolls around.
"Xio, like Em asked before, what are we setting up for? Is this for Winter Break?" Bella tilted her head in curiosity.
She bent down to pick up a scroll and unraveled it, startled to see words inside.
"Wait, is this from the library?"
She picked up another scroll and read it out loud.
"Okay, I think this one can be crumpled. That is wayyyy overdue," Bella remarked. She crumpled that one and hesitated before throwing it, the paper ball flying in a curve before landing on top of a nearby statue.

@Bella Light. & @Xio Arcana
Em dragged ahead following the two girls. Xio seemed excited as he watched her unload her pile of crumpled up parchment and scrolls. He stopped short as she watched her pitch a piece of parchment that found a spot on a grumpy gargoyle. He cautiously surveyed Bella as she picked up a couple pieces that trailed from Xio’s hoard.
Em stepped forward to read over Bella’s shoulder, before she balled up the parchment and expertly pitched it atop a statue. His confusion gave way to curiosity; Xio’s exuberance was infectious, as he cracked a smile.
“What exactly is the purpose of this, Xio?” he asked, knowing in his heart that he may not get a straight answer.
He watched the balls of crumpled parchment find new homes around the courtyard, taking in the two girl’s excitement. However, as he watched each parchment find its perch, he started to wonder how he could contribute. Emmanuel withdrew his wand, and pointed it at the first piece of parchment; which was still annoyingly stuck to the gargoyle. He gave a flick of his wand, and whispered “Colorvaria!” As he did so, the beige colored parchment turned a vivid shade of hot pink. Em turned to Xio and Bella, looking for approval, as he set his sights on his next target.

Em gave Xio a quizzical look as she dashed around the courtyard. His introduction to her was certainly unique. However, no one could argue that she was anything other than genuinely herself (Em thought that this was quite admirable!) He bent down and picked up one of the crumpled pieces of parchment, and read it over. “Xio, where exactly did you get these? Some of them are really old. Nearly thirty years old.”
Em took a brief moment to contemplate his involvement. On one hand, he was sure the three of them would anger at least the caretaker; on the other, perhaps they could convince people Peeves was the real culprit.
Deciding he was already deep into it, he looked back at the diminishing pile of paper. He quickly cracked his neck, readied his wand, and began flicking around color changing charms with abandon. Crumpled up bunches of parchment flashed a menagerie of colors; chartreuse, indigo, burgundy, violet, tangerine, scarlet. It was a pallet of vibrancy; a new depth to their arsenal.
Em turned to Bella, “The levitation charm would let us get pieces at least higher up, if you want to take out your wand!” Em encouraged, flashing a genuine smile at his friend.

Bella smiled back and drew her wand, ready to do what Em suggested, before stopping to think. She paused and then dropped the wand back in her bag.
"I don't want to risk failing the charm and making something bad happen," she explained. "Besides, its okay. I can just practice my throwing skills. Great idea, though, Em! You should definitely do that!"
She looked at Xio when her friend answered and knew that it wasn't the whole truth. But that was okay. She trusted that her friend knew what she was doing and only had good intentions in her heart.
Grabbing another scroll, she reached back for not her wand but her quill and scrawled a good message on it:
"Here we go!" Bella launched the scroll, and it flew up, up, up, before disappearing past her line of sight.
"Xio! Em! Did you guys see where it went?" she squinted her eyes against the bright snow. "It's so bright, and its blending in!"
OOC Notes: Hi! I would have done the spell that you said, Em, except I don't have it yet. This tells me that I need to do more homework.

Maya was at the Courtyard minding her own business, which included people watching. She was fairly content and at peace. There were many people here, students from all the years, some alone like her but most of them were hanging out and chatting along with their friends. Maya was about to get bored of people watching alone until she heard a noise of some new students that arrived at the Courtyard. Three people. She saw Bella and Xio, and there was another ravenclaw she didn’t know at all. Xio was in front of them, she was carrying some parchments and some of them fell behind as the other two collected them. At some point Maya noticed Xio squealed in excitement and the other ravenclaw student seemed to be casting a spell on the parchments.
Ultimately, Maya couldn’t help her curiosity, she left where she was sitting and walked towards them. She stood next to Bella and said hi. “What are you guys doing here?” She asked. She was very curious and she truly didn’t know what she expected. She looked at some of the parchments, some of them were in various colors and they didn’t seem empty but with words in it. She couldn’t read any of them well. Bella had thrown a parchment to the air and it disappeared? “I am very confused” she admitted out loud. “Sorry if i got in the way of something but I’d just really like to know whats going on” She laughed slightly awkwardly.

Em shrugged as Bella put away her wand, and went back to analog tossing the parchment around. Xio’s momentum, and positive attitude was infectious. He could feel his wariness fade away; truly what would it matter if they got into trouble? These are the moments that makes Hogwarts so magical.
Em turned on the spot, looking to levitate a pile of crumpled scrolls onto the rafters of the courtyard wall. However, his attention was drawn to another Slytherin girl who was approaching them. She had brown wavy hair, and dark green eyes. Em smirked, as he flicked his wand twice at the wads of parchment the girl had picked up, and spoke the color changing charm under his breath. The beige paper between her fingers flashed a deep plum, and the other a bright blue.
“Unfortunately, friend, I am unconvinced that Xio had any intention of revealing her secrets,” Em shrugged, turning his attention to a batted scroll that was nearly four feet long.
“Better just to join. Here, what color should I try to make this?” Em tossed the question to the new first year, his aspen wand at the ready to cast another spell.

Bella was just about to toss another scroll when she heard a familiar voice.
"Oh, hi Maya! Isn't it such a beautiful day? Yep, just like Em said, Xio just told us that we are spreading the cheer! Which we are! Want to join in?" she asked, smiling. She handed her friend another piece of paper before turning to Em.
"Green! Or maybe blue! Or yellow! Oh wait, sorry! You were asking Maya, right?" Bella laughed. "In my excitement...anyways, this is so fun! Xio! What a great idea!"
After a while of throwing and decorating, she realized how thirsty she was.
"Anybody want something to drink? I'm going to go get a few snacks and stuff!" Bella called out before disappearing into the Great Hall. Soon, she reappeared with a tray and five cups of warm apple cider.
"Guys! Xio! Maya! Em!" she yelled. "I brought the food!" Gently setting the tray on a bench, she nodded at the collection of beans, chocolate frogs, soup, cakes, and an assortment of other delicacies.
"But I also brought this! Borrowed from a friend," she exclaimed, revealing a pack of markers from a pocket in her robe. "In case anybody wants to draw and stuff! I mean, creativity, right?"

OOC Notes: Hi Maya! Welcome! Of course you can join in! The more the merrier!
