Cece comes from a loving muggle family, her mother a stay-at-home mom, and her father a surgeon. She has a muggle brother, Sam, two years older than her. Sam was always the protective older brother type, ensuring Cece always felt like she could go to him with any of her problems. Although her father's job kept him out often, he always made sure to make time to come to her ballet recitals and always showed his love. Cece's mother taught her to cook and to garden and ensured Cece and Sam always had someone they could confide in. As muggles, her family was obviously very shocked when she got her letter. When a professor came to their house to explain the situation, her father took the most convincing to accept the fact that magic was real and that his daughter was a witch. Her family was excited for Cece, but her mom was very reluctant to let her go off into a world where she could not follow.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
At the age of 4, Cece's mother had introduced her to the joys of gardening. Although she couldn't do much, she loved to waddle around and look at all the pretty flowers. During the summer months, she was playing in the garden as usual, when she spotted a snake slithering towards her in the weeds. Little Cece not knowing what a snake is, reached out to try and pet the creature, at which point it bit her wrist. When Cece started crying, her mother rushed over. She tried to explain with her whole vocabulary of a four-year-old, that she had been bitten by a creature, but when she showed her mother her wrist, there was no marking. Her mother assumed a bug landed on her and scared her and Cece had confused the feeling with pain, but in reality her magic had healed the wound before it could cause Cece any more discomfort.

There are some required changes as outlined below:
- Your background section needs to be 220 words on its own. Currently it's only 75. Please expand on your character's background a bit more. (You could expand on her relationship with her brother, her hobbies, friends, maybe how her family reacted when a [vague] professor delivered the Hogwarts letter as they were unaware of her latent magical abilities, etc.)
- Once you've made the changes, don't forget to copy them to your character's encyclopedia as the application and encyclopedia must have identical background information
You have 30 days (until 2nd November) to make the necessary edits.

- Your background section is now 168 words (I'd erred in my previous comment and have edited it accordingly. Your background was originally 75 words, not 181). So you still need to expand upon it a bit more. I would encourage you to use something like wordcounter.net or another word counting tool/software so that you know once you have reached the required 220 words.

Was having a pretty face really that good? Calypso wasn’t sure.

The women of the Lovelace family all possess a certain beauty that is as fascinating as it is mysterious. With charm so effortless it draws everyone’s gaze, they are hard to miss. No one could say for sure whether it was their silky chestnut brown hair, their mesmerizing gazes, the way they moved or spoke, or the mildly curious expressions on their perfect symmetrical faces that truly captivated people’s attention.

As you can see, Calypso is part-Veela, just like her mother. She had a well-proportioned face along with grace and poise in everything she did. Her hair inherited the same honey brown glints from Maia, a rather subtle trait that had somehow managed to pop up recurrently in every Lovelace. Upon a closer inspection, however, her locks take on a warm chestnut hue in daylight, scattering into specks of gold in the sun. She possesses the refined bone structure of an ancient pure-blood family, her features exquisite yet lack any sharpness. Her skin, a soft and luminous porcelain, was an entirely pure canvas that strangely shows none of her tragic fate.

Now, before we go any further, I should probably warn you about the Lovelace women, or rather, what the world did to them. The story starts with Adelaide Lovelace, Calypso’s great great great (Merlin knows how many greats) grandmother. If you could see Adelaide as she was back in the summer of 1842, standing in the misty morning gardens of her youth, you would understand why men wrote foolish, desperate poetry about her. But Adelaide, bless her earnest heart, made the fatal mistake of believing the ambitious wizard loved her. She spent her remaining years sitting by high, arched windows in the wizard’s cold estate, staring longingly out at the ocean.

By now you’re probably wondering, surely, surely after this the Lovelaces would have learnt their lesson? But you must remember human hearts—and Veela blood—are rarely so sensible.

Take Calypso’s grandmother, for instance, a remarkably bitter woman who, having married early to the so-called “love of her life” only to fall out of it almost instantly, learned that love was a trap. But while many Veela preferred to remain unmarried and far from the gaze of men, Cassandra took a more chaotic path. She found a dark, evil sort of gloat in seeing men fall hopelessly in love with her, only to leave them heartbroken.

Calypso’s mother, on the other hand, found love far too volatile. She decided she would either make a strictly unemotional match to get the entire thing over with, or simply stay single forever.

That was her plan, at least—until she met Thayer Swann.

If you had asked 18 year old Maia five minutes before she pushed open the heavy oak door of that little antiquarian shop, she would have told you she was merely looking for a rare 17th-century book on magical flora. Instead, she was greeted by the book owner — a young teen who had not yet matured enough to be handsome. But once his soft cheeks hollowed and his jaw squared, and that childish optimism fled his eyes, then he would have the chance to smolder. That crooked smile would win over many hearts in the blink of an eye, and it had won over hers.

He was Thayer Swann.

Now, if you know anything about wizarding history, you may start feeling worried - and I wouldn't blame you. The Swanns were notorious for their almost fanatical obsession with blood purity, and Thayer’s father had been a dangerous dark wizard during the dark days of the Wizarding Wars. But our man was nothing like them. He was gentle and benevolent and refused to carry his family's cruelty. He rejected their purist ideology entirely, renouncing his right to inherit the family estate and relocated to Britain with Maia.

Which finally brings us back to the question. Was having a pretty face really that good? Calypso wasn't sure. But as she steps out from between the stacks and stacks of books to hand Thayer a freshly mixed batch of bookbinding paste accompanied by the soft chime of the front door bell, she decides that it doesn't really matter anymore. She is simply Calypso, Calypso Lovelace, and that is more than enough to change the story entirely.

But our man was nothing like them. He was gentle and benevolent and refused to carry his family's cruelty. He rejected their purist ideology entirely, renouncing his right to inherit the family estate and relocated to Britain with Maia.

There, he would work as a restorer of ancient magical texts and runs an antiquarian bookshop. If you were to peek back into the years before Calypso ever learned the heavy weight of her lineage, you would find a childhood that felt very much like being wrapped in a thick, wool blanket on a rainy afternoon.

As soon as she was old enough to reach the lower shelves, Calypso was always helping out around the shop. She grew up surrounded by walls of leather-bound books, the rich smell of old paper, and a father whose knuckles were almost always stained with restorative dragon-hide glue.

Yet, despite her parents' best efforts to build a sanctuary, one cannot entirely lock the door against the wizarding world. Calypso quickly became all too accustomed to the malice of pure-blood conflicts. She grew used to the sudden tension whenever a recognizable surname crossed their threshold. There were howlers, screeching and spitting furious tirades from Swann loyalists, that constantly reminded Thayer of the shame he brought to the family by being a blood traitor and marrying a Veela.

But remarkably, none of that malice ever tainted her heart. To look at the Lovelace is to see someone entirely untainted by the bitterness around her. She remained wonderfully innocent through it all. To Calypso, these screeching letters were merely strange pieces of red parchment that blew in from a world she couldn't quite fathom. And her childhood was still, perhaps the most wonderful time of her soon to be tragic life.

First Instance of Magic:

It was a quiet afternoon in Thayer's bookshop when a stray speck of dust tickled the three-year-old's nose, causing her to sneeze. Instead of feeling quite disoriented, a dozen shimmering bubbles billowed out into the air, drifting serenely past the high shelves before popping into tiny showers of harmless lavender sparkles. This left her thoroughly bewildered. Much more so when her parents was prancing around in delight.

Thank you for expanding on your character's background, however, there are some inconsistencies and issues with your character's background as outlined below:
- The background in this application and in your encyclopedia must be the same, especially as in this application, you've indicated that she was untouched and kept away from the heritage and rumors of her family, yet in your encyclopedia, the mental description goes on to say how she was accustomed to bitter pureblood conflicts, had to change her surname to avoid discrimination, etc. These contradict each other. Mizuki’s mom, Sachiko came from pure vampires. Her parents, Akari and Kousuke Yatsurugi wanted her to marry another vampire. She was only twenty and was strictly against marrying a stranger. She already had a boyfriend, his name was Ichiro Suzuki who was a dhampir. He was elegant, rich and really in love with Sachiko. She hoped that if her parents saw him, they will allow her to continue their relationship.

Despite their efforts, her parents were more than angry about their relationship. They forced Ichiro to leave and never come near their daughter again. What nobody knew was that Sachiko was already pregnant with Mizuki. The young girl had been staying in her room, devastated that she won’t see her boyfriend anymore. She found out a few days after the incident. They didn't plan on having a child, she didn’t know what to do. Her marriage was coming closer and she still haven’t met her future husband. In a panic, she decided to leave right before her wedding day. Her parents decided not to go after her, thinking that this will teach her a lesson and she will come back soon.

She’d been wandering for days, living in hotels. She was fine, the hotels were nice but she was running out of the money she stole from her parents. She needed to find a place. To settle down and figure out what to do with her baby. That’s when she met Isamu. He had just started out as a doctor. They talked a bit and he offered to help her. He allowed her to live with him.

She told him about her parents and how she didn’t see her boyfriend in weeks. Isamu needed some time to process this information but eventually he made peace with it. By the time Mizuki was born, the man had fallen in love with Sachiko. She wasn’t able to reciprocate these feelings because she was still in love with Ichiro. Despite this, Isamu still helped her and took care of Mizuki.

He loved Mizuki like his own and despite not being able to be with her all the time, he still formed a strong relationship with her. He kept her safe. Not long after her second birthday, Ichiro finally found them and Sachiko decided to leave Isamu, bringing Mizuki with them. Isamu was devastated. He wanted to see Mizuki grow up and find herself in the World.

It surprised him when after three years, they came back and left Mizuki in his care. Turns out, they couldn’t handle having a child while being so young. This resulted in a long and heavy process. Her parents surrendered their parental rights willingly and she was put in the foster care system. After a year of being in foster care, she finally became Isamu’s legal daughter. He was very happy to see his girl again, but he needed to gain her trust after such a long time of being away from her. He did everything to give her a comfortable life. He soon became her safe place. After they got the letter and Isamu finally found out about her daughter’s reality, he never showed anything but support for her. Because of his encouragement she decided to accept the invitation and go to Hogwarts.545-ish

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Mizuki Onizuka didn’t meet her dad during her first couple of years of life. That didn’t mean she didn’t have a father figure in her life. Sachiko Yatsurugi, her beautiful mother, had met Isamu Onizuka, a muggle doctor, during her pregnancy. He kindly offered to help and stayed by her side. They settled into a peaceful rhythm and the man soon fell in love. Unfortunately, Sachiko was still in love with Mizuki’s father, and missed him dearly. She wished to find him one day. Until Mizuki’s second birthday, everything was as normal as it could be. Sachiko stayed home and looked after her daughter while Isamu worked as a doctor near Izumizaki, the village they lived in.

Despite him not being home as often as her mom, Zuki seemed to be drawn to her stepfather slightly more than her mother. When Ichiro Suzuki, Mizuki’s biological father, had found his way back after her second birthday and her parents finally found each other again, they left with her and decided to move to London, England before her third birthday, far away from Sachiko’s family, leaving Isamu devastated and alone. Zuki sensed his stepfather’s absence and began crying more frequently. Ichiro grew tired of her very soon and by the time she was three, she was constantly ignored by him.

By the time she turned four, she was slowly forgetting her stepdad. She felt that there was something missing but couldn’t point out what. Not late after her fifth birthday she was diagnosed with autism and that threw what little affection Ichiro had for her away. Sachiko and him decided to find Isamu once again and left Zuki with him. He took legal actions and finally adopted her. Zuki felt confused and betrayed. She had been with foster parents for a year now. Not remembering her stepfather was another red flag for her and she was isolated and distant for a few months. The situation caused a lot of meltdowns, but her dad handled it well and very differently than Ichiro. This surprised Mizuki quite a few times.

They lived in peace, but Isamu sensed her daughter wasn’t really happy here. She found it difficult to fit in and find friends as well as she treated changes as an inconvenience and a very frustrating thing and this school was very spontaneous. He also didn’t really like his job, being a telemedicine allowed him to care for his daughter and give her the best life possible but at the same time, his heart wasn’t really in it. At the age of nine, he decided to move with her to a place they both loved. They found a place in Bibury where Isamu finally could open his own village clinic where Zuki often went to after school. It wasn’t full of people and after Mizuki finished school, it usually close. In school, she wasn’t popular. She kept to herself and didn’t have close friends. Despite being empathetic and kind, kids didn’t approach her because they found her scary. Despite this, she adored the village. 510

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Her first instance of magic happened when she was four after her mom didn’t let her eat what she wanted and made her eat stupid porridge for breakfast. She hated porridge and demanded she gives her something else. She slammed her fist on the table once. Her mother scolded her and she crossed her arms, sulking. That’s when the bowl of porridge exploded onto her mother’s head and covered her full of it.
STATUS: Pending, Dottie, 5th October
There are some inconsistencies and issues with your character's background as outlined below:
- You stated "Sachiko decided to tell Isamu about her being a vampire. She told him everything". This is a violation of the Statute of Secrecy.
- "He couldn’t find their location and eventually gave up." - How would a new graduate physician have time to go searching for them? Did he give up his career?
- In the dhampir application, you state they brought Mizuki back to Isamu after 3 years away (at 5 years old), but in the background, it says it was after she was 8 years old.
- Why would Sachiko abandon her daughter? This is a very unusual thing for a mother to do. Abandonment also has legal implications, including prosecution and imprisonment in both Japan and the UK (at least for muggles, and Sachiko seems to be living a muggle-like life?)
- How did Isamu and Mizuki end up living in multiple different countries? It is not that simple for someone to just move to a different country. In addition, this once again raises the question of whether he gave up his career as a physician as a new graduate physician would not have time to care for a child on their own or be able to move around so frequently.
- How did Isamu decide to move to Bibury, England with Mizu, especially as it just happens to be where she had moved to with her biological parents and he wasn't able to track them down before? And why would he abandon the clinic he had allegedly just set up?
- Really, there are a lot of inconsistencies and aspects of the background that don't quite make sense. I might encourage you to check out our Mentorship Program if you haven't already, where you could be paired up with a senior member of the site who could help you develop your character's background in a way that aligns to our site lore and expectations.

Frederick was hungry and eat his soup without knowing anything, and when he go for a seconds, realise that the second one was template-cold.
This is how the family realises what happened and The words " like a soup need to be" gained a unexpected importance.

Before your application can be approved, there are a couple things that need to be addressed first:
- You write that your character's mother is a muggle and works in a pharmacy and that Frederick attended school and lives a pretty muggle life. However, you also write that his wizard father is very prolific with magic use, including weather modifying charms. This is incompatible. The type of magic described being used is VERY noticeable and would break the Statute of Secrecy. Additionally, magic interferes with electronics, and if he's using powerful magic very frequently, it would interfere with their home life. Please edit your background to explain how his father's use of magic goes unnoticed by muggles and address to what degree his magic interferes with their muggle way of life (of course it's possible to live without electronics/electricity).

Magical Race: Quarter-Goblin

Elizabeth is quarter-goblin through her mother’s side of the family. Her maternal grandfather was a goblin, and he had two children who were both half-goblin. One of those children was Elizabeth’s mother, making Elizabeth a quarter-goblin. Because only one of her four grandparents was a goblin, Elizabeth does not display goblin traits as strongly as a half-goblin would. However, there are still several physical characteristics that connect her to her goblin ancestry.

Appearance

The most noticeable traits Elizabeth inherited are her unusually long fingers and feet. Her fingers are noticeably longer than those of most humans, something she became increasingly aware of as she grew older. Her feet are also somewhat longer than expected for her size. These differences are not extreme, but they are enough for Elizabeth to notice them when comparing herself with other people.

Elizabeth also has a subtly dome-shaped head. The roundness is much less pronounced than it would be in a full goblin, but there is still a slight roundness to the shape of her head. Because Elizabeth has a full head of hair, this trait is mostly concealed and is not something people are likely to notice immediately.

Her ears are also slightly pointed, another small characteristic inherited from her goblin ancestry. However, the points are subtle rather than pronounced. Her hair usually covers much of her ears anyway, making them even less noticeable. Because of this, Elizabeth can generally pass as human without people immediately recognising her goblin ancestry.

Her height is more difficult for her to hide. Part-goblins are generally taller than full goblins but are still shorter than most humans, and Elizabeth inherited this characteristic. She is noticeably short, which is usually the first unusual thing people notice about her. Elizabeth is very conscious of this and dislikes being seen as small. Because of this insecurity, she often wears shoes with a large heel in an attempt to make herself appear taller than she actually is.

Her Hands

Elizabeth's long fingers are probably the physical trait she is most insecure about. When she was younger, she did not understand why her hands looked different. As she became more aware of her appearance, she began comparing her hands with those of other children and became increasingly uncomfortable with them.

Eventually, Elizabeth began wearing gloves almost every day. They allow her to cover her fingers and make her feel less noticeable. She does not necessarily dislike her hands themselves, but she dislikes the attention she worries they might attract. If someone comments on the length of her fingers, she can become self-conscious and may instinctively try to hide them.

At the same time, her long fingers can be useful. She has become accustomed to having them and has good control over them, so they do not prevent her from doing ordinary activities. They are simply another physical difference that she has learned to live with.

Food

Elizabeth's diet is mostly similar to that of an ordinary human because Part-Goblins generally eat normal human food. However, she has inherited a preference for umami flavours. She particularly enjoys foods with rich, savoury flavours and has a noticeable liking for mushrooms.

She does not require a special goblin diet, and her food preferences are not a magical ability. It is simply one small way in which her goblin ancestry can show itself in everyday life. She may find herself choosing a mushroom-based or particularly savoury meal over something sweeter without really thinking about why she prefers it.

How Elizabeth Feels About Being Part-Goblin

Elizabeth has mixed feelings about being quarter-goblin. She does not dislike the fact that she has goblin ancestry, but she dislikes the physical differences that make her feel as though she stands out. Her height, long fingers, and feet have made her more conscious of her appearance, which is why she tries to hide some of these features with gloves and heeled shoes.

At the same time, there are parts of her heritage that she is curious about. Since her mother died when Elizabeth was very young, she never had the chance to learn much about what it meant to be part-goblin from her. This has left Elizabeth with many questions about the side of her heritage she knows the least about.

As she enters the magical world, Elizabeth will have the opportunity to learn more about what being quarter-goblin actually means. She may eventually become more comfortable with the traits that once made her insecure and realise that they are simply a natural part of her appearance and ancestry.

Summary

Elizabeth's quarter-goblin heritage is subtle but visible. Her long fingers and feet, slightly pointed ears, subtly rounded head, and shorter height are the main characteristics she has inherited. Her hair conceals much of the roundness of her head and her ears, while her height and long fingers are more noticeable. She eats an ordinary human diet but has a particular fondness for umami flavours, especially mushrooms.

Being quarter-goblin does not make Elizabeth exceptionally powerful or dramatically different from other witches and wizards. Instead, her ancestry is reflected through small physical and everyday characteristics that have shaped how she sees herself. It is a part of her identity that she has spent much of her childhood being self-conscious about, but it is also a part of herself that she is beginning to understand and accept.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Elizabeth was a poor child with two bigger brothers and they were sadly raised by only a father. Her mother died shortly after Elizabeth was born, so she grew up knowing very little about magic. Her grandfather was a goblin. He had two children and both of them became half-goblins. One of those children was Elizabeth's mother, so she became a quarter goblin. The family had to live on donated food, hand me down books and torn clothes. Despite financially struggling, her two brothers were very supportive and her father did everything he could to keep his children happy.

She went to the nearby church ,which was her school, until the age of 11 of course. She learnt about her religion, basic math, history of their country, moral education and arts. As it was just a local school, only a few teachers were available. Since they were too poor to afford going to concerts, plays and sport matches, Elizabeth went to the library every day to get a new book- she was a very fast reader! Her favourite books were those thick fantasy series'!

As she became older, she started to realize how long her fingers are. She became anxious and started wearing gloves every single day. As for her height, she wore shoes with a lot of heel so that she might appear taller.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Her first instance of magic happened on a rather breezy afternoon when Elizabeth was eight. For weeks, she had been feeding a small robin she named Pip. Every day, she would go outside , and feed Pip leftover crumbs, fruits and seeds.

But that afternoon, Pip did not show up. She ran to the newspaper stand, and she found something that really broke her heart.

On the newspaper, it said "Man appears out of nowhere and kills birds". She got do angry that the whole newspaper stand busy into flames. Elizabeth gasped and tumbled backwards. She didn't have a wand or any other magical tool. She spent the next few weeks in her bedroom scared she might blow up the house.

Before your application can be approved, there are a few things that need to be addressed:
- Can you tell us more about Elizabeth's father? Was he a muggle? Wizard? Did he know about his wife being half-goblin?
- If Elizabeth's mother was a half-goblin, that would mean she comes from the Wizarding world. We need you to explain how she died shortly after childbirth as it is very rare for wizarding folk to pass except in extreme cases given their access to healing and magic.
- Why was Elizabeth raised in the muggle world?

Character Backstory:
Cassian Edmund Mercer grew up learning the value of being useful. Good manners were encouraged and competence and discipline were expected and left no room for making mistakes or causing trouble. He became self-sufficient early on, comfortable in his own company and accustomed to finding something useful to occupy his time that wasn't disruptive. As a child, he did not learn what it was like to feel chosen or to be wanted simply for being himself rather than for what he could accomplish. This would be something he would seek in later years.

Perhaps that is why Cass has always been drawn to things that have been overlooked. Even in his youth, he would see something broken or needing mending and wonder what happened to it, what had it once been, and how might it be saved.

Upon graduating, his first two jobs were unremarkable affairs - ordinary positions that wouldn't be considered particularly remarkable. Both felt terribly mundane but did give him more practice in noticing small inconsistencies and remembering small details.

Such instinct eventually became more than an interest and became his way of seeing the world. Under the guidance of his mentor, Arthur Bellamy, Cass learned that restoration wasn't just repairing what was damaged but was an act of understanding - as some things could be restored, some could only be preserved, and some things were simply gone.

Arthur's death left Cassian with a workshop of tools, books, unfinished projects, and more memories than he was prepared to part with. For a time he remained there, attempting to preserve everything exactly as Arthur had left it However, he began to understand that his life was not progressing in doing this. He was stuck in limbo and needed to find a way to move forward.

In time, he found his way back to Hogwarts; the first place where he had ever felt entirely at home. He would return to Hogwarts, giving himself a new project to focus his attention on and take a hiatus from the workshop back in Bristol.

Cassian Mercer feels that everything should be given another chance at life, to be understood and perhaps here at Hogwarts he could find himself while helping others feel noticed, welcomed, and like they belong.

First Instance of Magic:
One mid-morning when he was five years old, at his home in Northumberland, England, Cass was with his mother in her potions kitchen. He was expected to help at the beginnig - handing her things, holding things, fetching things. So he'd hand her the blue vial. He'd hold this while she measured that. He'd go gather that over there. As her potion progressed, she dismissed him.

This potion had been a particularly long brewing potion and five year old Cassian began to stir. He pulled a sparkling blue vial toward him to examine more closely but was snapped at. "Cassian, I said over there, please." He was meant to go sit at the table and be quiet and still as possible.

He waited and waited and waited and waited. It seemed like forever. Somewhere in forever he remembered he didn't have to wait alone and that he had tucked away his small wooden rabbit toy into his pocket. It had a small winding key that protruded from one side and when wound, the mechanism made the rabbit shuffle forward in a hop. Cassian had named him Hopper.

Setting it down on the table, he turned the key and bounced a little in anticipation but nothing happened. The rabbit was as still as could be. "Mummy, look...." he said in a low sad voice, his large eyes filled with disappointment focused on the rabbit. What was wrong with Hopper? "In a moment," he heard his mother's voice, but it trailed off in that way that he knew a 'moment' was never going to happen.

"But...." he interjected but was cut off quickly and sharply with a "Cassian." He went quiet from there. He was upset and he wanted to cry but he only knew that would be more bothersome and bring more scolding.

"That's my good boy. You always listen," his mother said but he wasn't really listening. His mother wasn't going to help him with Hopper and Hopper wasn't going to work.

Starting to feel overwhelmed looking at the room around him - things he didn't understand, things he wasn't allowed to investigate or understand, a broken toy that needed his help but he couldn't understand what was wrong, his mother not willing to stop and help him: he felt so powerless.

The frustration grew more and more inside him. The anger built and without thinking he dropped Hopper and just as he had, everything that had been on the table jumped. Bottles rattled and pieces of parchment scattered across the floor and nearby a mixing spoon crashed to the ground. The chair across from him had scrapped across the floor slightly. Cassian froze. His mother looked over his shoulder at him and froze.

His mother was staring at him. "...Was that....me?" he asked. "Did I do that?" and he watched his mother, waiting for her to yell but instead saw the slightest of a smile begin at the corner of her mouth. "I did, didn't I? I made it move. I made it all move."

His mother just turned her head back around to stir her potion and Cassian leaned down to pick Hopper up off the floor. "I can do magic," he whispered to the bunny, as if telling him a special secret. And then, knowing he could do something like magic gave him the confidence he needed to feel he could fix Hopper. After some investigating, tweaking, and playing around with the toy, he was able to nudge gears back into place. He set Hopper on the table and let go and the rabbit began to hop forward.

"I fixed you!" he smiled. He wasn't some powerless little boy. He was both a wizard AND a smart boy. He could learn things and he could fix things and both of those things made him happy.

Somewhere nestled in the hills of Northern Ireland, near the muggle town of Derry, lies the small wizardry community of Stillfen. Once you'd step past the wards intended to conceal the place from muggles and unfriendly eyes, you'd be greeted by the sight of a good number of cozy, beautiful or imperious manors and mansions, large gardens stretching over rolling hills, surrounded by mysterious woodlands, and with little waterways curling and twisting their way through the community. Near the top of one of these hills, wrapped around an ancient looking tower, and surrounded by beautiful gardens, lies the imposing Mulcair Manor. This is where Morigwynn was raised, surrounded by wealth and beauty.

And life was wonderful, especially as the youngest of three siblings. She was often free to do as she pleased, and still remains her mother Saoirse's favorite to this day for her quiet and clever demeanor, in comparison to her talkative and boisterous older brother and sister. Her father, Callum, was often working his Ministry job at irregular hours, but when he was home, he was stern, proud and fair. And when he was being overly stressed or serious, Saoirse always knew what to do or say to get him to lower his guard. They were, and still are, a bit of a strange couple, not for anything outwardly visible, but he works as an Obliviator for the Ministry, and she's an artist of magical portraits, the moving and talking kind that embody whom a person used to be. In essence, he makes people forget, and she makes sure people are remembered. The irony has not been lost on them, either.

Morigwynn's own first instance of magic happened when she was just about seven years old, and she and her brother Aodhan were arguing over some toys during Christmas, and he'd said something rather nasty. While her mother was trying to console her, Morigwynn was giving her brother a death stare that made her mother's glass of water freeze over, up until her brother was made to apologize by their parents, upon which the water unfroze like nothing had ever happened. It was a moment of pride for the parents, sure, though it had practically been expected, considering both of her siblings were already at Hogwarts. And so her 'magical moment' was celebrated less than her siblings'. This would end up becoming a running thing, as her siblings made accomplishments in Hogwarts she could only still dream of. When her own letter finally came, it almost seemed like a simple formality to the family.

But, there was nothing in the way of her growing up as a hale and healthy child, with a rich upbringing (in more ways than one), and a small community where everyone knew one another. She mostly enjoyed homeschooling from her mother, though such was also occasionally left in the hands of friends of the family, whom also lived in Stillfen. There had been a fair number of other children within Stillfen, though she never made any big connection with others, despite playing games and the like. Morigwynn was very much the type of child to be stuck in their own little world, dreaming of the stories and adventures her parents had read to her, and ones she'd read herself. Their imagination never let them be too bored, which was a good thing too, for when her siblings were both gone to Hogwarts, the house was rather quiet at times. So quiet that even she would've preferred the loudness of her siblings, over the sometimes eerie creaking and noises of the large manor. In the end, it seemed she'd made peace with the feeling of being alone.

Despite being told not to, she was always nice and polite to their house Elf, named Dubble, as he'd often been told to redo any work he'd done from scratch, in the past. She never did understand why no one was friendly to a creature that did so much for the household, and her questions were always dismissed as the naïvety of a child. The same thing was for the topic of pure blood, for her family had the general consensus of "Let others do as they like, so long as our blood remains pure.", or at least such was said on the surface. Though when Morigwynn asked questions about such things, she'd always been dismissed with the same old excuses. "You'll understand when you're older.", they'd say.

Now, however, it was time for her own journey in the real world, and it was difficult to know how to feel. There was excitement, to be sure, how could there not be? But also a certain pressure, to do at least as good as her siblings, to do her family proud, to do as one was told and don't start trouble... A long list of expectations that she didn't quite know what to do with, as her mind still lingered on the dreams and imaginations she'd grown up with. The seed of a question had begun to grow in her mind: Who did she -want- to be?. A question that some people struggle with for their entire lives...

First Instance of Magic:
Morigwynn's first instance of magic happened when she was seven years old, while playing around with some toys and getting irritated with eachother, her slightly older brother said something rather mean to her. This soured her mood and slowly began to freeze the glass of water her mother was drinking, while she was trying to console Morigwynn. The moment her brother gave an apology, even one prodded on by both parents, warmth returned to the glass as if nothing had happened. As much as they were proud of that moment, it wasn't celebrated nearly as much as that of her siblings, as by now it was just 'to be expected'.

Irene is a girl with albinism. This led to a bit of exclusion from her classmates since they thought her rather 'weird' for having the albino appearance. She has long, waist-length silvery-white hair and extremely pale blue eyes. Irene wore a coloured contact lens in her left eye merely for the looks, making it look as though she had heterochromia.

Her mother is a half-blood witch, graduated from the Ravenclaw House of Hogwarts, and is an Auror in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Her father was a Muggle, skilled in photography and literature. Her ancestors (ancestors since it's like, what, a century ago?) were supporters of Grindelwald, but did not support any Dark wizards (like Voldemort) after the legendary duel of Dumbledore and Grindelwald in 1945.

Irene was raised up in the Muggle world and had no idea about magic before her first instance of magic. Her mother chose to not show any magic to her to prevent accidental exposure of magic to Muggles near her.

She is able to see Thestrals for witnessing her friend die of blood cancer, she was in the hospital visiting when she drew her last breath and left the mortal world. She cried but realised that her friend cannot come back. Later on, with further understanding of death, she saw the Thestrals drawing the carriages at Hogwarts.

She seemingly had a 'lack of emotion'. She doesn't know how to express herself properly (basically doesn't know how to explain what she's thinking) and was rather 'colourless'. She is at her happiest sitting in the library reading books or playing Quidditch with her friends. Her friend tried to help her regain her emotions and express her feelings.

First Instance of Magic:

It was during her third grade (meaning that she was about 8 year old) in elementary school --- a bit of of a nasty shock for her teacher when she accidentally turned her wig blue. Bursts of laughter form her classmates, though no one suspected her. (Someone from the ministry soon sorted it out and wiped everyone's memory). She tried to hide her magical abilities from her friends and her classmates, though she confided this to her parents, who told her it was OK, and her mother told stories about what happened before she went to Hogwarts. *The reason she was frightened was because she did not think it should have happened and she's scared to have offend the teacher

I see that you have added a Trunk post (thank you), and I have received your Owl with additional questions. For paper-trailing purposes, I am copying my answer below:
Reducio
Yes, the encyclopedia and the index registration application must have the exact same words as each other. Generally, people will write up how their background in their encyclopedia page, and then copy paste it into the index registration application.

I would like to also point out a couple other things to keep in mind while you review your character's background:
Your character is a half-blood, meaning they have one muggle and one wizarding parent. Please expand on the blood-statuses of your character's parents. Additionally, expand on why they chose to raise her as a muggle in the muggle world.
Additionally, First Instance of Magic and Character Background are separate. The Background must have a minimum of 220 words on its own. If I exclude the part about the First Instance of Magic from the background, you only have 113 words. You need to write more in order to meet the 220 word count requirement. That said, by expanding on the request in the quote above, you shouldn't have any trouble hitting that requirement.
