Henry wrinkled his nose as he attempted to listen to the professor but he couldn't, his mind kept on going back to the same thing. Maybe that was a sign and I shouldn't tell Miranda how I feel but spending time around her would just make those feelings grow so maybe I should just tell her. Ugh, why is this so bloody difficult and why do I even feel this way? Alright so I won't tell her and keep my feelings to myself but I should tell her and maybe she might share them with me, but I can also mess up our friendship if I say something, ugh what should I do?

Henry grazed around the room to noticed that the professor was done speaking and multiple students were headed out of the room, great I missed what he was saying again, Henry turned to Miranda while feeling his neck and face begin to get warm as he spoke" what did the professor say, I sort of was lost in thought." Henry slipped his textbook in his massager type bag and placed the scrap over his shoulder as he move his bag to let it hang on his side.

"Now, all of you performed admirably in this contest of brewery, but while there were two teams that were far ahead of the rest, only one could emerge victorious." He paused and surveyed the class, then continued gravely. "Congratulations to Emelia Hart and Sofia Wesler for their potion making skill." The two girls were seated a few rows in front of Henry and Miranda, and both seemed quite proud of themselves as the professor handed them each a vial of liquid luck.

"Oh well," Miranda said with a barely perceptible sigh. "That's too bad."

"The second place group was very close when it came to their skills, and consists of Henry Knight and Miranda Everest," the professor continued with a gesture in their direction. "Congratulations to you both, although there are no prizes."

Miranda couldn't help but feel happy that their group -while not the best - had still done quite well and had almost won. It's not Liquid Luck, but I'll still take it, she thought.

"What did the professor say, I sort of was lost in thought," Henry asked, and Miranda had to smother a chuckle.

"We got second, which is kind of disappointing," she replied, although she didn't seem sad in the least. "But hey, it was a cool experience. That counts for something, right?"

"We got second, which is kind of disappointing, but hey, it was a cool experience. That counts for something, right?" Miranda replied to him and Henry just nodded as he grazed at her ocean blue eyes. That's to bad that we lost but at least not I don't have to worry about using it just to tell her my feelings, I don't need to tell her at all but I will. No, you bloody shouldn't because what if you mess up your friendship with her and everything that went well this year goes wrong and it's all a disaster.

Henry stood by their desk still holding his messager type bag his shoulder as he continued to grazed into Miranda's eyes, with a million thoughts swimming in his head. Henry after a while looked around and noticed that besides from them their was only the professor and three other students in the classroom. Henry smiles as he spoke" that's to bad but at least we came in second, our potion according to the professor - Henry paused then stood like the professor and mimic his talking as he continued"was above average unlike the rest of you that are average and below average. Now leave me to give your recent homework on Troll's."

Henry couldn't help but laugh as soon as he mimic the professor, he almost forgot what was worrying him but then it came back into his mind. I should tell her now, no I shouldn't and I should never tell her but I should.

"That's too bad but at least we came in second, our potion according to the professor"- Henry paused then stood slightly straighter and started to mimic the professor's voice when he continued. "Was above average unlike the rest of you that are average and below average. Now leave me to give your recent homework on troll's."

Miranda couldn't help laughing at that, since the impression of the professor was actually quite good, in a hilarious way. "You sound just like him," she announced.

Several more students drifted out of the classroom in large clumps, talking about either the recent class or what their plans were for the rest of the day. Soon Miranda and Henry were almost the only ones left, excluding the professor, and then trio of boys that were laughing at some joke on of them had just said.

Everyone seemed busy in their own little world, almost cut off from the world. It was funny how that happened sometime, how one could surround themselves in a small sphere and completely lose contact with the outside world. A useful skill when one was reading, that was for sure.

She once again refocused on Henry, and tried to keep her thoughts from wandering again. It was an annoying habit of hers, and could sometimes be a disadvantage.

"You sound just like him," Miranda announced while he was still laughing over the impression he did of the professor. Once Henry stopped, he looked over to see if the professor noticed he was mimicking him and thankfully he was to busy grading their homework to pay attention to Miranda and him.

Henry smiled as he looked around the room, it was empty besides from them, a trio of boys who were joking with each other and the professor who seemed to be grading their homework that they turned in during that class. Henry knew that they should be going or they would be late for their next class but Henry just smiled and wished that he could stay in the classroom with Miranda for just a little while longer.

We really should be going or we'll be late for our next class, and I can't be late for charms since that's probably the only professor who I like in this whole place but I also just want to stay here and continue to joke around with Miranda. She's truly beautiful, and smart but also funny and adventurous, bloody hell I wish I could tell her all this and then once I do I'll tell her that I fancy her and maybe she'll understand or even better she'll share my feelings and even maybe fancy me to. Or better yet I'll ruin my friendship with her and for the rest of my life regret saying anything to her.

With multiple contrasting thoughts in his head, Henry bit his lip a tiny bit then spoke " do you want to go to the forbidden forest with me on Saturday?"

"Do you want to go to the forbidden forest with me on Saturday?" Henry asked suddenly, jerking Miranda back into reality. Even though she'd resisted, her thoughts had wandered back to a time when she and Cedar had accidentally let loose a whole horde of doxies and their parents had been horribly mad for weeks.

"Definitely," she replied with a grin. "I've been looking forwards to it since first year."

At last, Miranda thought. We can go to the Forbidden Forest! There aren't any magical beasts on the grounds, so it's my only hope of seeing any until third year. She was worried about being caught, of course, but just like every other time she attempted something she shouldn't do, the worry never really seems that dire. That is, until she gets caught. Which we won't be, Miranda thought fiercely. We'll be careful. I survived back home, and now I have magic! Nothing will get to Henry - or me - as long as we're vigilant.

The three boys that had been the only other students in the room suddenly left, leaving the potions classroom very quiet excluding the shuffling sounds of papers and pen over by the professor's desk.

"Definitely, I've been looking forwards to it since first year," Miranda replied with a grinned toward Henry which prompted Henry to grinned back, he watched as the trio of boys leave the potions classroom leaving just them and the professor which made for a extremely quiet setting to talking in, besides from the scratching of quill by the professor.

"Great, so it's a date-" Henry replied so excited that he didn't even think about what he was saying, he then rapidly corrected himself " N..no, I didn't mean that... not a date just two friends sneaking into the forbidden forest together, definitely not a date right? Ugh, I better get to charms...see you later b.. buddy."

Henry stumbled over his last few words as he waved to Miranda awkwardly then exited the room, biting his lip and feeling like he needed to punish himself like a house elf. Great job now you truly look like a bloody idiot, hopefully she doesn't think about it strangely or anything and question you about it later. You really need to tell her through before you mess up and blunt something out like you almost just did, I'll ask Cricket first when I meet her in the abandon toilets.

She was categorizing all of the possible magical creatures they might meet in the Forest into whether they might be a threat, and trying to decide what spells would be necessary if their luck ran out and one of the beasts they met wasn't exactly friendly. I'll have to be sure I remember how to cast a Knockback Jinx so that we'll have a chance to run, at the very least. She frowned. Okay, that's enough negativity for now. We'll be fine. The only danger will be a professor finding us, and that won't happen. There are more than enough trees to climb if anyone comes nearby.

"Great, so it's a date-" Henry replied excitedly, then seemed to realize something and quickly corrected himself. " N..no, I didn't mean that... not a date just two friends sneaking into the forbidden forest together, definitely not a date right? Ugh, I better get to charms...see you later b.. buddy."

He abruptly stood up and left, leaving Miranda feeling confused and quite bewildered. Well that was not expected, she thought wryly. A date? I can work with that.

She stood up and left the classroom, pondering the new events. Saturday was going to be interesting.
