TENT Abandoned A Summer Reunion.

@Althea Valeden @Heather Blair Moretti

The time had finally come after a year of learning. Summer time had finally rolled around, and there was now going to be a camp, which Kara's foster parents, Matthew and Lilly, had aloud her to go to. There was going to be a Quidditch Game between Hufflepuff and Durmstrang soon during this month, which was July.

Kara herself had decided to go in a tent with two people, both of which agreed to her proposal. Those two girls were Althea Valeden, a first (Now second) year Hufflepuff whom she had met at the Blossom Ball, and Heather Blair Moretti, a first (Now second) year Ravenclaw whom she had been with quite a few time and considers her the closest friend she has at Hogwarts.

Kara had gotten a magical tent from her foster parents, but it wasn't that large, so it would be required that the girls would have to all share one room. It also had a bathroom, a small couch, and a little kitchen. Mostly all of the essential rooms and stuff, and she slightly hoped that either Heather or Althea knew how to cook, because Kara wasn't that good, but she knew a few recipes due to her mother and sister, so there would be a lot of pastas.

Kara so far was fixing up the beds in the girl's room, wondering when they would arrive with their clothing all packed and stuff. Her own clothes were all packed and were halfway sorted out into the small dresser for her stuff, there were two others for Heather and Althea. Kara would just now have to wait for her friends as she put away her things and fixed up the bedroom.

When Althea first heard about the Summer Camp, she had initially decided that she was not going. Camping may not be a common thing when it came to her family, but she had once went camping with her mother and a few other family members, and it was more than a nightmare. Mosquitoes were buzzing and hovering around her, trying to get a taste of her blood while large and digusting flies claimed her food the second it went on a plate. She didn't even wish to remind herself of the horrors of pests in the tents.

A day or two afteer she announced her decision to her parents and godfather, she received a letter from her godfather. Her godfather, Charles Daiz, was apparently the god of camping and refused to let 'his' little girl to miss out on such an enriching experience. It took officially ten letters back and forth before Althea caved and gave in.

According to her seniors in the Hufflepuff House, there was going to be a Quidditch Match held soon too. The game was said to be a match between the Hufflepuff Quidditch team and Durmstrang's team, which Althea decided would be worth her time.

As such, Althea decided to find some buddies to hang out with during the camp. The Hufflepuff still could not find her childhood friend Alex Vanieldia, who seemed to be busy with whatever mischief he has been up to, so she went to approach the Slytherin girl that she had met at the secret and chaotic Blossom Ball named Kara Capricorn. Kara had plans to share a tent with another girl named Heather too, so that was something for Althea to prepare herself for.

At the campsite, Althea had spotted Kara amongst the crowd and made her way to the girl's tent after checking all her bags were intact. When she entered, she was awestruck by the inside of the tent. It was rather large, to say the least, and she was impressed.

Althea saw Kara arranging the beds in what she assumed to be the bedroom. She was still in a bit of a shock by the magical tent, but tried not to look stupid as she greeted the Slytherin.

"Hey, Capricorn,"Althea began to say with a small smile, "I like the tent. The kitchen seems appealing to my cooking and culinary desires."

"So, this shirt is in here, my toothbrush is in that pocket and...Yep, I haven't forgotten about these. Evviva!" said Heather happily, attracting a few glances towards her as she checked her luggage one last time. Smiling sheepishly, the young girl rubbed the back of her heck, a bit embarrassed by the attention her sudden exclamation attracted.

As her initial shyness passed, she took in her surroundings, looking for the familiar face of Kara, one of her Slytherin friends; they were going to share a tent, along with a Hufflepuff girl named Althea, during the Summer Camp. While she was a bit anxious as Kara first came up to her with the suggestion, Heather's curiosity and love for nature quickly won her over, accepting the Slytherin's invitation.

Even though the blonde girl had a faint memory of going camping once with Cora, while she was back in Scotland, she couldn't say she remembered how the experience was- and even if she would, Heather had a feeling that a magic Summer Camp was much more different than a muggle one; from what she heard, they were even going to watch a Quidditch match between the Hufflepuff's team and Durmstrang's team! While she wasn't very talented in this particular sport, Heather still fell in love with it one day when she saw a practice match, and ever since she looked up everything about Quidditch. Just because of that game alone, the girl was sure she would enjoy these days a lot.

Looking around and taking in her surroundings, Heather quickly spotted Kara, being one of the few girls her age who were similar in height with the blonde girl. She jogged up there, going inside the tent after the brunette. While she wasn't used to camping, Heather still had an idea about how normal tents looked- and Kara's one was nowhere similar to what the blonde girl had in mind.

Raising her eyebrow, Heather twirled around, taking in the 'small' tent Kara had told her they were going to stay in. "Kara, this is more than enough-" turning to look at her friend, Heather realized that her friend wasn't there with her. After she searched for the girl, she finally found her, in one of the rooms. Putting the bags down next to one of the dressers, she embraced her Slytherin friend; Kara seemed to be busy arranging their beds but stopped once Heather called her name, so the blonde girl assumed that was the bedroom. There was another girl too, much shorter than the Ravenclaw- presumably Althea. Turning around to greet her, Heather smiled warmly, extending one of her hands. "Hello, I am Heather, one of Kara's friends and your other tentmate. Nice to finally meet you!"

As Kara was just finishing up making the beds, she heard the flap of the tent open and then Althea walked in.

"Hey, Capricorn, I like the tent. The kitchen seems appealing to my cooking and culinary desires." She said smiling softly towards her.

"Well that's good, as I am not the world's best chef.." Kara said rubbing the nape of her neck slightly in embarrassment of her culinary inablilities.

Kara turned again, continuing her work, and then she felt someone's arms wrap around her, and then she heard her name. She turned her head to see the familiar blondette Ravenclaw hugging her. Kara momentarily stopped her work and patted her hand against Heather's arm gently, as though returning the hug.

Heather had seemed to notice Althea, and she let go, holding out one of her hands to introduce herself.

"So I guess you two have now met. Althea, this is my friend, Heather Blair Moretti, Heather, this is Althea Valeden!" Kara said walking towards the two.

"While you two introduce yourselves, I'm just going to finish fixing up a few things, also, feel free to make yourselves at home, we're going to be here for a month, so might as well!" Kara clasped her hands together then left to finish making the bed, which she did pretty quickly.

"Well that's good, as I am not the world's best chef.." Kara replied to her comment about the kitchen, making Althea chuckle as the Slytherin girl rubbing the nape of her neck in embarrassment.

Althea was about to reply to Kara when another girl walked into the bedroom and greeted Kara. Remembering Kara only mentioned only another girl is sharing the tent with them, Althea went ahead and assumed that this girl was the Ravenclaw girl named Heather.

Althea was going to exit the room when Heather stepped forward to embrace Kara, but was a tad bit too late when Heather noticed her and called out to her. "Hello, I am Heather, one of Kara's friends and your other tentmate. Nice to finally meet you!" Heather introduced herself, seeming cheerful. Althea bowed her head slightly and smiled, replying, "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Heather. I am Althea Valeden, a second year of the Hufflepuff House. I hope we can get along." She accepted Heather's hand and took it, shaking it and letting go.

"So I guess you two have now met. Althea, this is my friend, Heather Blair Moretti, Heather, this is Althea Valeden!" Kara said, walking towards Althea and Heather. Althea was going to mention that they already did a name exchange, but decided to keep the comment to herself.

"While you two introduce yourselves, I'm just going to finish fixing up a few things, also, feel free to make yourselves at home, we're going to be here for a month, so might as well!" Kara clasped her hands together before leaving to finish making the bed, which she did in a speed that astounded Althea.

Turning to Heather, Althea fidgeted awakwardly, her inner introvert self beginning to yell at her to start the conversation. "You are from the Ravenclaw House, right? How is it being in the house of the witty?" Althea asked Heather, flashing a tight smile. She was admittedly a bit jealous of any Ravenclaw, since she wanted to be in that house originally. But, she decided to settle for finding excuses to be grateful that she was in the Hufflepuff House by asking Ravenclaws about their life in the blue house.

Heather was going to ask Kara if she needed any help, but before she could do so, the girl was already gone! Shaking her head softly, she smiled at her friend's hospitable demeanor and turned around to Althea.

The said girl was quite short in comparison to Heather, but what caught the Ravenclaw's attention were her eyes; such a unique color- they were either grey, or a very light shade of green. And, was she seeing some blue too, or was her mind playing tricks? The blonde girl snapped out of her thoughts when she suddenly noticed Althea talk.

"- right? How is it being in the house of the witty?"
Grinning a bit, Heather rubbed the back of her neck. While it was true that she was a Ravenclaw, she didn't have time to get used to being one; her first year was suddenly cut short thanks to her home problems. Since she was aware of the fact that she missed many important lessons, the girl decided to repeat her first year, and hopefully, to end it without a problem this time.

"It's quite nice, even though I didn't have that much time to experience the school year through the eyes of a Ravenclaw. I, erm... had a small problem and had to interrupt my year." It wasn't a small problem, but Heather decided that she didn't have to get into details, nor she wanted to. "Though honestly, initially, I didn't want to get sorted into my house, I've come to like it. I never saw myself as a witty person, but ever since I got there I started to believe in me, and my mind, more."

Shrugging, Heather smiled at Althea. "After all, every house has its perks. How is being a Hufflepuff? I've always wanted to see your dorm, even the entrance to it seems so interesting!" While she was a bit anxious, Heather was both an empathic and extroverted person- she felt that Althea more of an introvert, though, so she was glad to help her open up a bit.
