A unexpected summer
"Remember when we first stepped foot on the Hogwarts Express and we were with Eyre? The trolley witch had asked us if we wanted anything, and I said a blood lolly. That's when I had to say I was a Dhampir. Don't tell Charles that I am telling you this but he's a Dhampir...and he knows I am too. I'm just surprised on how he reacted. If I'm being honest, I was looking forward to spending time with someone like me. Did I say, or do something wrong for him to react like that?" Cricket said after admitting that Charles knows about her being a dihampir. Henry just stood facing her next to the bunks unsure of what to say.
Henry then smiled and found the courage as he stepped forward and placed his arms on Cricket's shoulder's as he said " You didn't do nothing wrong, Charles just can be a bit nervous around people in general, from what I witnessed by being his friend in the past year is he doesn't have many friends and doesn't really know how to talk to people let alone someone who has something in common with him, just give him time and he'll come around. By the looked in his eyes you could tell he was excited to see that you were a dhampir also now that I think of it."
Henry smiled at Cricket as he rubbed her shoulder's a bit, trying to comfort her as he continued " and who knows maybe by the end of summer you two will be closer to each other than with me, I'll sort of be like a third wheel to you two." Henry laughed as he pushed Cricket's shoulder's a bit in a playful way while dropping his bags on a bottom bunk.
And don't worry I won't tell your secret, even though he probably figures you already know since he knows," Henr smiled slightly at Cricket.

A unexpected summer
Charles grabbed his trunk. He couldn't believed he met somebody like him. His mind was racing with his thoughts. Would they become really good friends? Would they actually understand how this affected him? How are they a Dhampir? Where they bitten by a vampire like me? Charles smiled with curiosity and happiness.
He might actually make a friend that's a Dhampir. He never seen any other Dhampirs around at school, probrally because he was too scared to look. But now by Pure chance he found someone like him. And he wanted to make the best possible friendship out of it. So he tightened his grip on his trunk and marched back into the tent. His smile wider than ever before. Yeah he's been around other Dhampir's before but now he might actually make a friend that's a Dhampir.
So there was a first time for everything. Maybe soon he would finally stop being a nervous wreck. But you never know for sure. But now Charles found a new hope that he could change for the better. And he wouldn't try to hide the fact he was a Dhampir. "Im so sorry Cricket. That was really rude of me. But I did not leave because I was afraid or angry. I left because I'm so happy that I might actually get to be friends with somebody like me. Sorry if I made you think different."
Charles smiled as he apologised. It was clear that he was telling the truth. The he walked over to the bunk he chose and unpacked his things. Then hid his books underneath his bunk. But he kept his clothes in books in his trunk so just for safe keeping. And he hid the key to his trunk somewhere he would only know. But since his trunk was under his bed it was obvious he kept something in there.

A unexpected summer
Henry watched Charles enter the tent again but this time with his trunk, he then approached Cricket and spoke to her"Im so sorry Cricket. That was really rude of me. But I did not leave because I was afraid or angry. I left because I'm so happy that I might actually get to be friends with somebody like me. Sorry if I made you think different." Henry moves a bit to the side as he watched Charles start to unpack his trunk at his bunk, Henry smiled and rubbed Cricket on the shoulder, encouraging one last time before grinning slightly to both of his friends while grabbing his message type bag and leaving the bunk room to the main living type room, where he plopped down on the couch and took out a book from his messager type bag.
As he read he tried not to listen in to his friend's conversation, not wanting to be a burden or pest but while the tent was roomy it wasn't sound proof so occasionally he couldn't help but hear a few sentences. I wonder what's happening, maybe if I lean back a bit no don't. Just contain your curiosity and read, you don't want them to see you as annoying or a bloody burden, just stay minding your own business and not theirs well just until they join you or include you, I wonder if their bonding over both being dhampir's. Cricket sure seemed excited about the fact and so did Charles actually.
Henry tried not to think if his friends or panic about it, as he slipped his book back into his messager type bag and took out his chocolate frog cards. He didn't have many but he start to go through them, something that always seemed to relax him before when he was worried or anxious.

A unexpected summer
As Cricket was listening to Henry's words of wisdom, she heard a slight rustling at the entrance of the tent. She spun around just to find Charles Simmons with a sorrowful expression planted on his face. Before she could process his arrival, he was standing right in front of her, apologizing for what hes done. "I'm so sorry Cricket. That was really rude of me. But I did not leave because I was afraid or angry. I left because I'm so happy that I might actually get to be friends with somebody like me. Sorry if I made you think different." Cricket smiled widely at the thought of her having a friend who is a Dhampir. She hadn't noticed that Henry had left before he rubbed her shoulder and left the room, so that the only two people there were her and Charles.
Charles and Cricket made their way over to their designated bunks and unpacked their stuff. Cricket wasn't saying anything, but her train of thought was all over the place. He came back, but why? That's a stupid question to ask, Crick. Of curse he had to come back, this is his tent! Where else would he stay for the rest of the summer? The pale Gryffindor was excited that her tent-mate had come back but was at a loss for words. When she was finished unpacking, she thought it would be alright to make some conversation.
"So...if you don't mind me asking, how are you a Dhampir? Where you bitten by a vampire or does it just run in your blood?" Cricket slightly clenched her fists at her remark but figured it would be okay to ask.
