Ball Invitation ... to whom?

____Millie have no idea what to do that day after class so she ended here, in the owlery, with a thought that the place is not far from her common room. She's not in the total mood nor energy to do more footing works to descends downstairs, yet not that exhausted to end her day just now. So rather than sitting, reading, or journaling in her room, the girl decided to gathered with the owls in this owlery.
____It's not that the owls acknowledge Millie as their friends that easily, but surely for some people might see like that because of the automatic glanced and hooted they shot at her arrival. Even so, Millie just continued her step to the stairs.
____In that time, not even reached the half of the stairs yet, a great-horned owl flew towards her. In its claws, there is an envelope. Thinking it was maybe from her parents, Millie took the letter and the owl flew back outside. No longer feel like going up, she took a seat on the first staircase as she ripped open the envelope in her hand.

To The Girl Who Has Stolen My Heart,
To be honest, I don’t know if I can express how pretty you are on the page of a letter. What I do know is that your beauty is beyond comparison, rivaling with Mother Nature herself. I know that we may have never met but I think that matters little in the grand scheme of things. I’d be honored to have you on my arm for the ball, if you are to accept my humble invitation. Your heart of gold and face of porcelain has won me over, and I can’t imagine going with anyone else. My world has been shaken, never the same since you stepped into it. I hope you are doing well as ever and that you won’t hesitate to send me a letter. We may be strangers now, but I promise not for long. Friendship has always been a sign of prosperity between schools, and I hope to receive news from you here at Ilvermorny. I’m a rather charming fellow who would be lucky to have you as much as you would be lucky to have me.
Sincerely from your secret, not so secret, admirer
Laurence Cory Hanes of Ilvermorny, descended from the Hanes pureblood line.
____Once she'd read the letter, Millie furrowed her brows. Blinked her eyes for a couple times as she read it again more thoroughly, she try to makes sure she doesn't misread any single word in it. But no, it's still the same as she read it for the first time. Perhaps this letter for someone else, she thought, but there is no addressed name from this so called secret admirer. She had no friends in Ilvermorny, nor even step her foot there, so the chance almost impossible this letter addressed to her. Forget the flattery, it feels like she just read a regency novels in which words of praises are merely a form of 'gentlemanly' norm.
____What should I do with this?

Isla had been meaning to send an owl to her brother for a while, maybe to smooth things over, maybe to keep being petty and give him a piece of her mind. She had Vanilla in her bag, because she didn't trust the menace to not make a mess alone in her room.
She walked up the stairs, mentally revising what she'd do after she finished checking if an owl had been sent yet. When she reached the top, she heard someone talking, a girl, but she didn't recognize the voice.
The Gryffindor entered the owlery, which always had the kind of smell that made her doubt what desicions brought her there, because the scent of owls had always bothered her.
Lia didn't expect a letter. She didn't want to get her hopes up, but she didn't want to miss one if it actually came. She glanced at the couple of girls talking, noticing the letter, but not butting in.
The only letters there where the ones the girls had, and from how it looked, one of them had received one and the other one was sending one. Lucky. Isla could only dream of receiving one or actually sending one for someone that mattered.
The autumn ball hadn't been announced yet, but she knew how exited the other were for it. Isla hadn't gone yet, not once in three years, but maybe her third year would be different. Everything has been.
She glanced at them again, and recognized one of the girls. Her name slipped her mind like sand on hands, but Isla knew she was part of the summer camp.
Should I ask her about the letter? she wondered, but she didn't want to seem nosy,so she discarded the thought. Isla sighed softly and asked, hoping to make the right first impression "Hello, I noticed you're unsure about the Letter, is everything alright?" she asked, because she had noticed how uneasyly Millie, now she remembered the name, held the letter, almost like if she wasn't supposed to read it.

"A wise girl knows her limits; A smart girl knows she has none."
Ball Invitation ... to whom?

____Still in the midst of her uncertainty, Millie raised her eyes when she was being approached by quite familiar girl's voice, @Xio Arcana, she remembered. Millie caught that she was expecting a letter too that's why she came here from what her nonstop chattery said. While the girl then asked for her name, another girl approached.
____Her cabinmates back in summer camp, @Isla Afton. Millie automatically touched her face when she asked her condition with the letter in her hand. Is that obvious? Am I unknowingly make them worry because of this mysterious letter? Should I just gave it to one of them? Maybe it really is for them? And yet, again, another familiar person came at her. @Tina Carilla. Asking the most obvious point of this unknown letter which she guessed came from Ilvermorny. Is she the one this letter belong? Or Ms Afton? Or maybe Arcana? Which one?
____Exasperated because she didn't know what to do exactly, Millie then decided to told them the name inscribed in the last phrase of the letter, "It said this came from Laurence Cory Hanes," she said, hoping that at least one of the three might recognize the person with that name. Millie looked at them one by one, then clear her throat as she begun to read the letter aloud. Not too loud to the point of scream, but audible enough so they can quenching their curiosity of this letter.
