"Duellists, we are halfway through already!" Philip squinted to check the time, before turning back and calling out. Everything was happening like a whirlwind, and Philip could barely register the passage of time. Duels were fun indeed, and oh, he would love to participate in one himself in the future.

The Duellists were busy engaged in spell exchanges as always. Well, not all of them - both Luuk and Akari opted to think on their feet, monitoring the spell courses on the field and getting ready to run for their lives at any time. After careful observation, Philip decided that it was a smart act. Neither of them looked like they could survive another solid hit, and before anybody could spare their time to perform healing on the two younger Duellist, actively dodging looked like the finest option.

But of course, the older two players weren't going to let the opportunity slip away. Verona, again, raised his wand at Akari, yet the latter was prepared. Philip nodded as the Mahoutokoro boy dodged the spell pretty easily, and looked towards his teammate. Akane chose a spell that he had never seen before - crackers were conjured and loud explosions rang in his ears, and this time, Luuk was picked as the target. Of course he evaded it yet again, and Philip applauded for him quietly in his mind. To his surprise, Akane's crackers even successfully made their way near Verona - impressive, he gotta search this spell's name later - but the Castelobruxo Duellist managed to walk out of its course. Hmm. Honestly, both teams showcased superior Duelling skills and strategies, and Philip had no idea who could claim victory today.

It felt so close yet so far away. That’s what Ronnie feel about this round. He was so sure tha his Flipendo would hit his intended target like the previous round. And yet, the youngest Duellist from Mahoutokoro still standing on the other side of the piste, mockin him. But, alas, it did not. The Mahoutokoro boy keep his eyes peel on his surrounding.

And so, when the Seventh year incantated and swung his wand to shot yet another Knockback Jinx, Kabukimono could see it from miles away and dodge the incoming spell from him. The Brazilian boy clenched his jaw. Not only his spell missed his mark, the spell did not hit Akari by a long shot. Beside him, Tjin-A-Wink actively dodge whatever spell will be coming his way.

And when the unmistakable booming and exploding sound of the Cracker Jinx, Ronnie turned his head to the caster who conjured the spell. Ronnie had seen this spell before. But never being aimed at him. So, when the crackers of the spell managed to come near him, the boy jumped out of the way before the spellmcould even touched him.

Halfway through the matchch and yet both sides refused to back down or yeild. Ronnie could only hope his next strategy will work and bring him closer to the glory and victory he ambitious to get for the sake’s of the schoolmhe attend, Castelobruxo.

There were loud noises — it was all he could hear. Noises of explosion, of detonation.

Luuk froze for a millisecond before coming to terms with the fact that explosive crackers were making their way toward him; if he did not collapse from exhaustion, the crackers were sure to generate enough power to knock him out. He thus ensured to put miles of distance between himself and what appeared to be incendiary explosives, scrambling aside at an almost frantic speed.

Halfway through? It seemed to Luuk as though the duel had just started — perhaps it could be attributed to the fact that everybody's spells seemed to miss its target again, much like the very beginning of the duel. One's conception of time is almost always skewed while duelling, given how much of a blur the flurry of spells become.

XXXAkari was more preoccupied with staying safe than attacking at the moment, but the theatrics of the Cracker Jinx startled him, causing him to jump back even though it wasn't aimed in his direction. Ah, I want to learn that spell! It was rather loud, but it looked like fun. Their opponents also easily evaded the explosions as another Knockback Jinx flew past Akari's shoulder. They were past the halfway point of the match, but both teams were still on fairly equal footing.

Anther miss. The uncomfortable itch of frustration started to rise, as if the ground itself's rage could seep into Akane's shoes, dirtied by the dodging and scuffing around.

Her cracker jinx, however well executed she believed it was, flounced off from her cherry wand, merrily making its way towards Luuk, detonating, unfortunately, in a manner that did not involve any physical damage. His teammate, too, failed to be in the way of any of the shards.
