Biography: While this is entirely about Ji-won, we need a backstory for his family, considering he's basically just now starting to live. Jeong Young-hee was born June 2nd, 1988 in Ulsan, South Korea as the youngest female charge of the Jeong family, her parents Jeong Yu-na, formerly of the Lim family, and Jeong Do-yoon were both born into old money so Yu-na opted to try her hand at being a socialite while Do-yoon chose to work, a true monster of capitalism, he could never have enough money. Young-hee's parents sent her to Japan at a young age because they wanted her to go to and make connections at Mahoutokoro, which many of their many acquaintances were planning to send their children.

As soon as she'd gotten to that school, she was taken under the wing of many of the older years, who'd built up her already too high opinion of herself with compliments and gifts. As a privileged child of a family from old money, she lacked plenty of humility at her young age and, since she had a pretty face and was raised to her hold herself to a very high standard, she wasn't a bully but she wasn't a nice person. Funnily enough, she ended up meeting the equally vain and rich love of her life at that very school, Kim Jae-in. Before they'd gotten together, they didn't like one another, she thought he was cruel and self-centered, which was true, and he thought she was needlessly haughty and and fake, which was also true.

They didn't get together for love, why would they? They didn't even like each other. But in a strange way, they did respect each other and actively sought each other out for company, but with a significant amount of distance, of course. They got together to raise their respective standings but, after a while, they gained a bond so strong, they didn't think love could describe it. After they graduated, they had a mutual understanding that they wanted to stay together for better or for worse, no, they didn't get married straight out of school, only engaged, but they did meet each other's families, who despised each other almost as soon as they met, not that they thought they'd get along, their families are too similar.

Shortly after the family introduction, they moved in together in a manor they'd gotten built in Ulsan, where Young-hee opted to work in something she definitely had the requirements for, modelling. She got a large amount of recognition because of her face, both in South Korea and outside of it, but she didn't pursue fame that was higher than high-level recognition, surprisingly, she wasn't interested in pursuing modelling in the America, she was fine with Asia and some parts of Europe.

Jae-in, who was never one to be told what to do by anyone, other than his lovely fiancée of course, opened his own law firm in Ulsan, which is why Young-hee's father took to him easily, they both wanted even more wealth than they already had. Shortly after he'd opened his firm, he and Young-hee had finally tied the knot, in a large and over-the-top ceremony.

At the age of 20, Young-hee gave birth to her and Jae-in's first two children, Ian and Hanuel, Jiwon's elder brother and sister. They'd decided to send them to live with relatives in Japan because they wanted them to go to their old school, where they had made so many happy memories.

It wasn't until she was 21, 23, and 25 when she'd had Ji-woo, Ji-min, and Chae-mi, respectively, where they decided they would only have one more child before they start planning to move to England in a few years time. Jae-in's law firm had opened a location in England a few months before and Young-hee's agency was fine with transferring her to another one, and the children weren't old enough to have to transfer from any schools yet.

She was 26 when she'd gotten pregnant with Ji-won and his twin, yes, twin, sister, Ae-Ri, still in Ulsan, and it was by far, the worst pregnancy she had to endure. His mother was nauseous all the time and couldn't keep anything down, despite her healthy appearance, it was like the pregnancy was draining her, which worried her and Jae-in's families. When her water broke in the early morning of February 14, 2015, despite the pain she was in, she was relieved that she'd be free from the cold clutches of this cursed pregnancy soon.

At exactly 4:02 in the morning in Ulsan, South Korea, Kim Jiwon was born, red-faced and unsettlingly quiet, all wispy black hair and colorless eyes, it was unnerving for the healers, considering the juxtaposition of him and Ae-Ri 's behavior after being born. The healers assured them that everything was fine and the uncertainty had a hold of his mother's feels so long that when they confirmed that Ji-won was okay, she had burst into tears, almost as if his emotions were connected to his mother's, Ji-won, too, started crying.

Three years after his birth, his family moved to Bristol, into a posh-looking townhome that is much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Adjusting to England, or anywhere that wasn't Korea in general, was a struggle for the children, especially Ji-won and his siter, who hadn't yet started their English studies, or any studies for that matter.

Ji-won was doted on by his mother, who loved that he looked so much like her during her childhood, she loved how feminine he looked and took any time she could to tell him that it was a wonderful thing. As a result, Ji-won's ego was very iron-clad, he knew what he looked like and he loved it. When he turned five, he started his studies with private tutors, he loved learning other languages the most but anything about magic, whether it be magical theory or the history of magic in general, was always a joy for him. His eldest brother and sister came frequently to visit from Japan during holidays, it was awkward with them and their parents but it slowly started to be resolved.

His father's sister and her family lived nearby and visited frequently, she, too, became charmed by Ji-won and his well-behaved nature. Ji-won's mother and aunt often took him and Ae-Ri to join them at gatherings with their circle to gush over them and their siblings, they didn't like the people there all that much and their mother and aunt shared that sentiment.

Growing up, people often asked if he also wanted to be a model like his mother but he never had an answer., in his opinion, it was a loaded question to ask a kid but he digressed. He wasn't particularly close with his father because they had none of the same interests but they definitely weren't estranged, they just had a hard time bonding with each other.

Ji-won was close with all his siblings but he was even closer with Chae-mi. Chae-mi was the odd one in the family, she had only two friends and, according to his brother, terrified the younger years. Ji-won loves his older sister to death but even he knows she can be a little strange, she was fiercely protective over him and Ae-ri which worried their parents so much that she's sent to a mind healer every week. His older siblings were sorted into Slytherin which delighted their aunt, even though Ji-min and Chae-mi told her that they were one foot away from being sorted into Ravenclaw.

While he was watching his siblings go to Hogwarts only the platform, he, and his twin sister, were always eager to get their letters, so imagine how ecstatic they were after getting them. He was very happy and he'd immediately started planning out his outfit for the train.

Soon, after he got his letter, his siblings started betting on what house he'd end up in, who bet on what was going to be revealed after the sorting, through owling, considering he'd be at school for several months.

First Instance of Magic: When Ji-won was four, he was still adjusting to being in England, he hated how his cousins teased him about his "girly' looks. On this particular day, his cousin Sung-woo was in the process of teasing him, despite knowing that looking girly wasn't a bad thing, it still made Ji-won upset. While he was glaring at his cousin and trying not to cry, Sung-woo's hair turned a sickly shade of yellow, and Ji-won, after seeing his cousin lose his mind over it, was no longer upset and was a giggling mess.
