Rose's eyes darted to Aldor's hand on her own. Her first instinct was to yank it away, but it felt surprisingly good. His hand was warm and big, and her small and delicate one seemed to fit perfectly in it. His praises also made her feel fuzzy inside. It was the first time anyone had talked about her that way and was a change from the toxic environment her childhood bullies had given her.

It was strange. She felt more comfortable in a day than she had felt all through her muggle school years. Here at Hogwarts, she felt... safe. She felt like she truly belonged here. With magic. With books. With... Aldor if she was being honest. She didn't know how hard she was smiling until Aldor had let go of her hand. Rose felt her face drop and looked at him, her heart plummeting. Had she done something wrong? She saw the boy's expression - he was terrified. His face was a deep shade of red and he seemed to just realize what he had done.
''W-e should- read what you like the most, b-oth of the books you're reading seem very interesting- ''
Rose snapped back to reality and realized how long she hadn't been talking. She blushed and smiled softly.
"That meant a lot to me, so thank you. Let's just r-read the one about the dragons."
Although Rose was didn't want to let her feelings show, she unconsciously moved closer to him, giving herself away.

''A-lright then-'' Aldor took a deep breath, trying to recover his peace, ''W-ould you-'' Aldor stuttered, and paused for a moment, he didn't know what to say or do. He knew she did not move away before, or even mentioned what he had done, but his anxiety would tear him apart, he'd begin shivering again, as he tried to think of what he should say now. Chewing what was left of his nails, he would try to say something, but again, he failed.

''T-his is a strange situation- isn't it?-'' Aldor chuckled awkwardly at his comment, ''M-aybe it's my fault that this is so difficult-'' He'd look down, smilling a little, and not managing to calm down and avoid blushing so badly. ''I-I hope I'm not disturbing you, miss-'' He'd close his eyes for a moment, and took a deep breath. ''Even though- i'd like to ask a few questions, I hope you do not mind-'' Aldor would look back at her, he seems a little less scared, but that won't last long.

He didn't know what to ask, and all of that ' i'd like to ask a few questions ' Was just an excuse to change topic. Aldor never found a way to express himself with words, and that might only make all of this even more awkward.
