Brewing the Truth

Continuation from An End Turning to a Beginning
How many years did it take... over ten years? Just to realize that it was most likely none of their faults at what happened during the Potions Competition during their seventh year. After grown adults arguing on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest, Maya had come to the conclusion that they were both innocent. Granted, Maya does not know who @Hjørdis Jensen is in comparison to when they were kids, but she always remembered that Hjørdis would undoubtedly fight hard for what she believed in.
But it all came down to one solution: doing the potion one last time. It was the only way to figure out if Maya's theory was true. Hjørdis believed to give Maya the correct amount of Unicorn Hair and Maya knew that she placed the correct amount in the cauldron. If both are certain with their claims, then there has to be something else.
Maya took out a piece of paper, ink and quill.
Once she signed the bottom, she folded the paper into what looked like a paper airplane. She did not have an owl on hand nor did she want to send a howler to Hjørdis in the night. Rather, she decided to send out an interdepartmental memo. It is a popular way of sending messages used in the Ministry of Magic and was later used in a lot of administration jobs. Maya figured it was going from the Muggle Studies department straight to the Head of Slytherin. It seemed appropriate.Hjørdis,
Let's put an end to this once and for all. I'll be in the Potions classroom.
As the letter was making its way to Hjørdis, Maya made her way down to the basement where the Potions Classroom was located. The door was unlocked and she walked inside the dimly lit, dusty room. In the room there was a whole wall that was filled with ingredients. Maya wondered if they had all the ingredients she needed for their potion.
Looking through the shelves, she found most of the ingredients that was needed. She placed them on the long, black quart-surfaced table one by one, careful not to drop anything. She then needed to find the final ingredient... Unicorn Hair. But she also needed to find an ingredient that mimicked Unicorn Hair to see if that was the ingredient that was contaminated.
Maya looked further into the shelves to find "Horse Hair" in the mix. It had a shine to it that resembled Unicorn Hair. Maya took the horse hair and brought it to the table with the other ingredients. She needed to find Unicorn Hair and had no idea where it would be. Perhaps Hjørdis would know when she came down. Or, if she would come down. Who knows.
OOC: I know you have a lot of threads happening-- so when they dwindle, here's a thread to keep going with our character's subplot!
