Phew! Laverne just came out of Herbology and it was horrific... She likes Potions, Defence Against The Dark Arts and all the other subjects, but Herbology was not her type. She had met Riley the other day, and talked a lot with her... She's Laverne's close friend, but she's in Ravenclaw... Sometimes Laverne wishes that she knew more people, but how can she meet them all at one time...... She also wishes that her friends would be in her house. Usually she's pretty interactive, but since she came to Hogwarts, she became more of the introvert girl, who is shy to talk to others. Her mom and dad had sent her a letter a day ago.Dear Laverne,
It's Mom and Dad, and we have noticed that you've not been yourself during the holidays.
We also haven't seen any owls coming to you.
Is Hogwarts bothering you? We can see what to do if it is
Love,
Mom and DadLav was pretty disturbed after seeing this letter. Hogwarts bothering her? As if! Are you sure though? she thought. She knew also knew that she has changed a lot...
So what if it was? No, nonsense! She starts writing back.
She keeps the quill down, just looks into the sky, wondering what she could do to get the old her back.Dear Mum and Dad,
Nothing's bothering me... Even if something was, the last thing would be Hogwarts. It's the place that calms me down, even though I haven't been myself. But thanks for asking..
Miss you.
Love,
Laverne

The Plan
Laura walked into the courtyard after a difficult potions lesson. She saw a girl about in her third or second year sitting on a bench with a pen looking into the clear summer sky. The sun was shining brithly. It looked like she had written a letter. Laura was really hot and was starting to sweat already under her black robes. They were already starting to stick to her chest back and arms that was one thing Laura hated sticky and sweaty clothes on a hot day. The girl was also in Gryffindor. Laura walked to her and sat down next to her. "Hi what are you doing?" Laura asked the girl on the stone bench next to her. She had taken a book with but come to think of it she did not want to read. The book was about Quidditch it was in her bag on her shoulder that was weighing down more no that she thought of it. She took the heavy bag off her shoulder and put it on the stone floor of the courtyard. Laura would have probably also done her homework if it was not for the girl next to her. Laura had alot of homework.

What Laverne didn’t notice while staring into the sky was that a girl who was also in Gryffindor was looking at her. Laverne was still staring into the sky when someone sat next to her. She was shocker, since someone came and sat next to her without Laverne calling.
Hi, what are you doing? Laverne now felt pretty ashamed. She was plainly staring at the sky like someone who’s depressed..
Nothing nothing.. I’m just a bit bored… which class did you come from?
When Laverne spoke to someone she didn’t know, she got her confidence back. She felt like herself, the girl who used to walk up to people and ask them if they want her to be their friend. Now she just had to be a bit clean. She started tiding up. She put her quill inside, folded her letter properly and sealed it.
So are you a first year? I’m in 2nd. What’s your name? I’m Taylor. Laverne Taylor.

Bella did not remember agreeing to this fiasco. She stood with Atlas as they watched their friend Xio climb to try to save her airplane.
Shaking her head and laughing, she yelled, "Sure, Xio! We can keep watch, but you might want to be careful!"
Bella watched Xio attempt her dangerous airplane-saving maneuver and took a deep breath in relief when she saw that her friend saved her airplane safely. Looking at Atlas, Bella smiled.
"I think we met once or twice. I'm Bella, first-year Slytherin. I can't remember if I introduced myself to you yet, sorry! But you're Atlas, right?" Bella asked, grinning.
After a while, Bella realized that she should probably have explained to the two girls about the whole airplane thing. Walking over, she waved.
"Hi! I'm Bella, a first-year. That airplane was made by my friend Xio on accident, sorry!" she chuckled. "You didn't get hurt, I hope? I apologize on behalf of my friend for that incident."
Looking closer at the two girls, she recognized them, but she didn't know them names.
"What are your names? I swear I have seen you before, though I don't remember where or why!" Bella exclaimed as Xio and Atlas joined her in the conversation.

The Plan

I was having a perfectly normal day. Well—normal by Hogwarts standards.
I've just left my last class, practically bouncing down the corridor, my bag swinging against my side. The sun is shining through the tall windows, and I'm already thinking about what I'm going to do after lunch. Maybe I'll go outside. Maybe I'll find someone to talk to. Maybe I'll finally finish that book I'd been carrying around for three days without actually reading. Or maybe I'll do none of those things.
I'm halfway through the courtyard when I hear a CRASH. I stop dead, my eyebrows shooting up.
“What in Merlin's—”
A gigantic white shape suddenly flies across the courtyard.
I stare.
It's a paper aeroplane. Not just any paper aeroplane. A massive paper aeroplane.
It sails directly over everyone's heads before crashing spectacularly into the top of the fountain.
I stand there with my mouth open.
“...Okay.” I blink. “That's new.”
Then I notice the stone griffins. They're moving. Actually moving. One of them nudges the aeroplane with its beak. Another flaps its enormous stone wings. And then I hear someone shouting.
“DON'T RIP IT!”
I look up to see a girl climbing the fountain. My jaw drops.
“She's climbing the fountain?!”
I hurry closer, my curiosity completely taking over. There are already a few students gathered around, but I don't recognise any of them. A Gryffindor girl is standing nearby with another girl, both staring up at the scene. I wonder who they were. I look back up to see the girl on the fountain has reached the aeroplane.
“Oh, she's got it!” I bounce slightly on my toes. “Yes!”
She grabs the paper plane just as one of the griffins shoves it towards the edge. The entire courtyard seems to hold its breath. Then—
“I'm fine!” the girl calls triumphantly.
I laugh. I can't help it. She's completely ridiculous. And somehow, I already like her.
As she carefully climbs back down, I notice the two Gryffindors looking at her too. I walk over to them, unable to resist.
“Hi!” I say brightly.
Both girls look at me. I smile.
“I'm sorry, but did you two also just witness that?” I ask, pointing dramatically towards the fountain. “A girl just climbed up a fountain to rescue a paper aeroplane from a bunch of angry stone griffins.”
I pause.
“Honestly, I think that's the most exciting thing that's happened all week.”
The Gryffindor girl with the letter looks slightly amused. The other girl looks like she's still trying to figure out what exactly had just happened.
I grin, then realise I haven't introduced myself. “Oh! Sorry. I'm Ginny. I'm in Hufflepuff, first year.”
I hold my hand out, glancing between the two girls.
“And you are...?”
Before either of them can answer, the girl from the fountain finally reaches the ground, covered in dust, her hair slightly messy. And she's still holding the enormous paper aeroplane.
I look at her. Then at the fountain. Then back at her.
“You know,” I say, grinning, “I have approximately one hundred questions. But the most important one is—” I point at the aeroplane,“—why is it so big?!”
For the first time that afternoon, the courtyard doesn't feel quite so quiet. And maybe that was exactly what I've been looking for. A little bit of chaos. A few new faces. And, hopefully, some new friends.

The Plan
Jessica was walking through the courtyard when a sudden burst of wind caused her to halt. She looked up at the exact moment when she saw something huge flying above her head.
To begin with, she believed it was a peculiar magical creature.
That's when she realised it was a paper aeroplane.
An absolutely gigantic paper airplane.
Jessica could not believe her eyes as it drifted across the courtyard and then hit the top of the fountain.
What on earth was that?, she muttered, her eyes widening.
She walked quickly and joined the increasing number of students who were watching the chaos as it was happening. At once she turned her attention to the girl who was climbing the fountain in an effort to rescue the plane from the stone griffins.
Jessica watched the girl as she reached for it nervously.
She whispered, "Please don't fall," and nearly held her breath.
A moment later the girl managed to catch the paper aeroplane and started to walk back down.
Jessica at last relaxed and had a little laugh.
It was definitely an way to spend an afternoon.
She looked round at the other students who were gathered nearby; a Hufflepuff girl was already talking excitedly about what had happened, while Bella was giving the others an explanation of the strange situation.
Jessica smiled and moved a bit nearer.
She helloed to all of them, looking round the group. "My name is Jessica. I was simply passing by when I saw the largest paper aeroplane I have ever seen fly straight into that fountain."
I must admit that I'm curious—was it meant to be that large or had things gone very wrong?
Jessica smiled a little in a rather amused way before turning her gaze towards Xio.
More importantly, are you okay? Because it wasn't at all what I had expected to see today to have to climb a fountain in order to rescue a piece of paper aeroplane.
Looking at the stone griffins, she turned back to the group.
I really believe that Hogwarts is probably the only place where something like this could occur and everyone just stands there as though it's entirely normal.
She laughed softly.
Well then, what actually happened here?
