Swapping table
Laura was really excited that she was sorted into Gryffindor. Every one was clapping and whistling. She walked to the table and sat down next to her sister she hugged her. She saw the girl that was standing behind her walking to the Hufflepuff table. They had a quick chat while waiting in the line but now that she had been sorted into Hufflepuff they could not talk cause Laura or Artemis could not go to the other person's table. That was one thing Laura found really stupid because almost all her friends had been sorted into Hufflepuff only Leila had been sorted into Gryffindor and Laura did not even know Leila that well. Luke had also been sorted into Gryffindor so that was one thing but Jessica Nicole and now Artemis. But well who cares but then again what would happen if she swapped tables. Yes that is it thought Laura. I will swap tables tomorrow because no one ever said I can not swap tables. So Laura ate her dinner and went to the Gryffindor common room to work on her plan. She would walk into the great hall and look for Jessica Nicole or Artemis and she would sit down.

Swapping table
Jessica was sitting at the Hufflepuff table and while she was having her dinner she looked round the Great Hall. Soon she saw Laura at the Gryffindor table and responded to her with a little smile.
It was a bit odd to see Laura sitting at a different place since they had been good friend and also Jessica's first friend at Hogwarts. Jessica looked back and forth wondering if there is any problem if they swap tables.
In the meantime Jessica was also happy that Laura had been placed in the house she wanted to be in. However, most of their friends are sorted in Hufflepuff.
Jessica kept on eating and at times glanced over at Laura. She asked herself whether Laura was thinking about the same thing and perhaps she had already decided on a way of going to the other table.
Jessica was going to make sure that she found Laura tomorrow. She wanted to have a proper conversation with her and find out how she was feeling about all of it. Indeed, Laura had been Jessica's first friend at Hogwarts and Jessica wasn't going to let the fact that they were in different houses or at different tables change that.
Having finished her meal, she was already looking forward to seeing Laura the next day.

Swapping table
When Laura came down to breakfast the next morning she yawned and looked for Jessica or Artemis or anyone else. She saw Jessica sitting by the Hufflepuff next to Artemis! Laura was really lucky about that coincidence. So with out another glance or thought about anyone else or the Gryffindor table she went to the Hufflepuff table and plonked herself next to Jessica she started reaching out for food and putting it on her plate obviously Jessica had not noticed Laura jet. Laura asked another person next to her other side to please hand her the Pumpkin Juice. So Laura started munching on the toasted bun she had filled with avocado and bacon. One of the best combos Laura knew. Then she started on her pumpkin tart slice. Good food she thought. Then she turned to Jessica the fact that she had still not noticed her and was still talking to Artemis and munching on her food really annoyed Laura. Good morning guys she finally said in a bright tone. A nice morning today just a shame that I have potions in the cold dungeons as the first two lessons of the day. Finally Jessica turned and the expression on her face made Laura burst out laughing.

Swapping table
Jessica was enjoying her breakfast as she was talking to Artemis and had no idea that Laura had quietly moved into the Hufflepuff section and sat down next to her. Taking another mouthful of her food, Jessica kept listening to Artemis until Laura's cheerful "Good morning, guys!" drew her attention.
When Jessica turned her head she stopped for a moment because she saw Laura sitting right next to her.
She was surprised at first and then a smile appeared on her face. "Laura!" she said, after which she broke into a little laugh. She shook her head again, remaining amused. "How on earth did you get here without me noticing?"
Looking at Laura’s plate and then at her again, she realized precisely what had taken place. “Ah, I see—that’s your great plan involving the exchange of tables, then?”
Jessica laughed once more, obviously enjoying Laura’s determination. She was genuinely pleased to see her there, and even though Laura had been placed in Gryffindor, having her sit next to her made breakfast seem much like it had before.
"Well I think no one has prevented you," she replied with a smile, then turned back to her breakfast. "And to be honest, I happy that you are here."
She turned her attention to Laura and her smile broadened.
"Regarding the potions in the dungeons... good luck with that. At least you've got a nice breakfast before going into the cold!"

Laura was really happy now that Jessica had noticed her. "Yeah the food is really good and you know someone even handed me the Pumpkin Juice without asking any questions. Laura continued sipping her pumpkin juice and munching on her bacon and avocado bun. What is your first lesson as I already said I have potions I wonder what we are gonna brew I hope we are brewing a healthy potion or something like that. Last time we brewed the antidote to common and uncommon poisons that was really fun. Hmm look at the house glasses Gryffindor is in the lead by far. And then Hufflepuff I really hope any other house except for Slytherin wins the house and Quidditch cup this year just for the sake of beating Slytherins 4 times win streak you

Mine are probably Dada Potions or flying and my favourite place is the Quidditch pitch common room or the lake. I want to be the Gryffindor seeker next year. I always flew around at home and we had a snitch I would always try and catch it. Laura continued eating.

Jessica smiled while listening to Laura and had another sip of her pumpkin juice. "My first class is Transfiguration," she said to her. "I'm wondering what we'll be doing today. I hope we won't have to turn something huge into something small. It would be tricky to carry a massive object around the classroom!"
She laughed at the idea and kept on eating. "I hope that I won't turn one thing into something entirely unexpected".
Before looking back at Laura, Jessica glanced once more at her house glasses. "You should be pleased about having been placed in Gryffindor," she said, smiling, "since it's your new house. But Hufflepuff is also quite near, so I think we'll have to wait and see what turns out to be the case."
She picked up another mouthful of her breakfast and jokingly shook her head. "I thought breakfast was going to be peaceful, but then you just appeared and began taking my table."
Jessica laughed gently. "Now I know where to look if I can't find you—I'll just go and have a look at the Hufflepuff table to see if that certain Gryffindor has decided to turn up again. You have certainly made breakfast more interesting today."
