summer camp 2026
evening

It was a hot, dry day of the hot, dry British summer, and Rina's attempt at a jog around the Hogwarts campgrounds had turned into an attempt at just messing around and seeing what happened. She'd skipped a few stones across the great lake. She'd kicked a tree trunk and managed to avoid breaking her foot in the process. Now, she had her wand out. This was a big deal, since she didn't really like the magic part of magic school. Brooms were really the only cool thing – after all, what kid hadn't dreamt of flying? Plus, Rina'd never been in a plane before, so a broom was the closest she'd ever been.

But the wand. It was long, not quite fitting well in her hand. Cherry wood and dragon heartstring. She couldn't remember what the merchant said that meant, just that it was kind of pretty, so she liked it.

She crouched down, dry grass crunching underneath her converse. She wiped her sweaty hands on her T-shirt before lifting a ruddy stick between her index finger and thumb. Making sure to remember which stick was her wand, she muttered, —Incendio.

Unfortunately, nothing happened.

The stick – not the wand – went flying, and Rina stomped the ground in a fit of rage. —¡Ostras! Qué vara estúpida.1

Campgrounds. It was rich in scenery and the verdure was something she had to warrant a little bit of praise for. It was much more like the bleak lush forests in Canada rather than the vibrant verdancy of Castelobruxo. She had to admit as well, Britain was quite on the brink of being on par with the summer in South America. Never had she anticipated wearing a summer themed outfit for the occasion. Chelsea wanted to stay in the campgrounds for now, no point in trying to go to the combat training activity near the vicinity. It was quite uneventful

Alas, she would be proven wrong when she had once said she never had a knack for teaching anyone considering it a "waste of time" and that she had better things to keep her mind on. Yet she would be interested to know that her fellow cabin mate was having tribulations with magic or spell casting to be perceived by her eyes.

Her indented brunette hair flowed with the breeze the day had offered it was refreshing to say the least more so seeing someone having putting so much energy and strain to learning a spell. Incendio was it? A very redundant practice when that very spell could take one hours to perfect it, much less perform it.

Guess she'll have to offer assistance.

"Oh je, du hast es gerade schwer oder?" she muttered while squinting at the scene

"¿Necesitas ayuda?" she asked while her index finger scratched her cheek as her tounge made a click for a tsk.
