Yeah, I sent it to my student acc (Livia Machavariani) first, swapped off the invisibility cloak preference, and couldn't see it. On this account, I've never had that preference on, and the map works fine. So it likely isn't a bug, and I'd assume Nick's right about a cooldown.

2. I am a Metamorphmagus. Can I mention changing my appearance intentionally, or only emotionally - not intentionally?

Doesn't look like no. 2 was answered. You can make intentional changes, but as a first/second year, they can't be huge yet. Think changing hair colour or eye colour – minor things, and at this level, they do require concentration.
