─────Lucian was not sneaking out now. It was day time when he decided to go to the Great Lake. He wanted to see what the whole mystery behind the lake was. He was wearing casual clothes and was carrying his wand with him. He liked exploring new places and wanted to see the whole castle without getting in trouble. Or maybe get in some trouble. He wouldn't mind it. Right? He was somewhat naughty.
He had not been here to the Great Lake yet and was surprised to see the Lake for the first time. It was really pretty. The sun was reflecting well on the water's surface. He walked towards the edge of the Lake and hoped no one would push him in.
He stood mesmerized by the beauty of the Lake. The sun was at a great height. It wasn't too sunny. He looked ahead as he took a few steps away from the Edge as he was scared of falling into the lake. He put his hands in his pocket, and turned to take in the scenery around him. With the Trees lined on both sides of the Lake, lake looked very pretty. He couldn't have picked a better place to spend his time.

Landon smiled softly as he walked around the Great Lake. He was always happy to return to Hogwarts after a summer break. He loved his family, but Hogwarts was home. Now he was a fifth year, and he was excited and nervous about the whole thing. He was one of the older years of students now, though often times he felt like he didn't know anything whatsoever. He didn't feel like he knew much about life yet. But he was only fifteen. He had time to figure things out.
He was happy that he was back at Hogwarts again though. Now he was First String Keeper on the Quidditch team, something that he was both proud of and terrified about. But right now, he wasn't thinking about Quidditch or homework or even History of Magic. He was just enjoying the good weather and the fresh air outside.
Landon watched as he saw a first year student who he didn't know get too close to the lake before slowly stepping away from the edge. He smiled and approached him, careful not to startle the younger boy. "Be careful. The Great Lake is beautiful, but it can also be very dangerous," he warned.

─────Lucian was enjoying the breeze that was flowing over his head. He was enjoying the view of the Great Lake. He had gone really close to the lake but then for his own safety come back to the edge of the Lake away from being too close to the lake. He didn't want to fall down in the lake and hurt himself or worse. He was not wanting to swim though he was a good swimmer. But maybe now was not the time to try it.
Lucian had seen a lot of things in the small amount of time he had been here. He had witnessed things that would give someone nightmares. He had been through a lot but nothing deterred his determination to be part of the school. Nothing he had faced, could make him pack his stuff and leave Hogwarts for good. He wanted to learn more and more.
He turned to face the older boy as he heard a voice. "Please don't hurt me." He said. He stepped back from the Lake, getting to a good distance. "I am a first-year Gryffindor student. Lucian Wright is my name." He said. "I mean no harm. Am I in trouble?"

Landon smiled as he enjoyed the fresh air. Hogwarts always just felt like home, and Landon always loved spending time outside. He loved it there. He was very aware of the fact that he only had a few years left to enjoy Hogwarts before he was out on his own, unless he somehow managed to become a professor there, but he wasn't sure that he would manage to become History of Magic professor at Hogwarts. He just wanted to teach in the future.
He saw the younger student and approached, but he was surprised when the kid seemed a bit frightened. "Hurt you? Why would I hurt you?" he asked, concerned. "Has someone been trying to hurt you already?" he asked, worried. He didn't know the kid, but he didn't want a new student to already feel unsafe at the school.
"Nice to meet you, Lucian. I'm Landon Matthews. I'm a fifth year Hufflepuff," he said. "You aren't in any trouble," he added, reassuringly. He didn't know why the kid was so jumpy. "Are you okay?" he asked. He didn't understand why Lucian was so scared of him. Landon had never been a threatening presence. He was generally a calming one.
