Trip to London: Museum
THIS IS PART 2 OF "TRIP TO LONDON"
With every minute that passed, the end of the day was slowly creeping up on them. The students had a wonderful adventure learning about the large, iconic muggle structures that are located in the heart of the city. From Big Ben to the London Bridge, most of the students learned information they did not know about the muggle city they lived near. They learned about the hierarchies, reasons behind the castles and more. It was a lot of information to be introduced to, but for the Hogwarts Staff, it was well-worth it.
Prior to going back to school, Maya wanted them to really experience muggle culture from a global perspective. She wanted them to learn about muggle entertainment, sports and science. And what better to do all of this than to explore a museum? When planning, Maya wanted both muggle-born students to be just as excited as wizard-born students when learning something new. She, along with the rest of staff whom were chaperoning this outing, decided it would be unique and inspirational to go to a museum of wax. Specifically, a wax museum called Madame Tussauds. It was a museum that has the exact replicas of famous people in the entertainment, sports, science and history worlds.
"We are almost there," she reassured students who were behind her. They had a semi-long walk from the heart of London off to the suburbs. They could have used the "tube" but that would have had them to back track a few blocks. The best part of it all was that all of their travel was without magic. The only time they used magic was to arrive at the heart of London and when they will leave to go back to Hogwarts. It was surely the life for them to experience Muggle London the way muggles do.
When they arrived at the museum, Maya went to the front and took out money from her wallet located in an inner pocket in her red cloak. She took out approximately 100 pounds and once the transaction was made, she ushered the students to go in one by one.
"Feel free to have a look around when you get inside and head towards the science room. Do not touch anything. I'll begin shortly," she told them, waiting for all students to go in, along with staff, to ensure that the balance is paid. She also wanted to make sure that no student was left behind. All staff was making sure that there was no room to error this summer.

A museum? It kind of turned him off to even go at first, but the thought of going through London was honestly something he was itching to do. The young man was dressed as casually as the average citizen, wearing his hoodie and jeans. Reid was starting to get used to having his readers again, which he slung on the collar of his shirt as he was following the group. Part of the excitement was him potentially being able to listen to music this whole time ... but that didn't come to fruition.
He was largely missing his life in the city again, being at Hogwarts and being surrounded in so much history was making him want the opposite of it. The sound of cars and seeing things like TVs was a sight for sore eyes, even the Fosgate manor had no cable. He let out an audible sigh as he tried to stay attentive to Professor Galim's statement, they were almost there. Reid nearly bumped into someone but slipped into the museum with the rest of the group to revel in what greeted them. Interesting. "A wax museum ..."
He was about to actually touch something when Professor Galim already instructed them to not touch anything. The Hufflepuff inwardly groaned and drew his hand away, lingering for a little longer to look around whatever place they were in. He sort of wished he had a working camera on top of the fact that he actually wanted a working phone.
But he brushed away his envy for the muggles and stood in front of something with a quiet observance. Reid had tried to be more tactful with how he carried himself, but pretending to be proper was never really in his upbringing. The wizard was in search of a brochure or a pamphlet, something to engage himself to avoid straying.

Trip to London: Museum
A wax museum? Scary. Probably a bad idea. Opeila had been to that exact museum before with her family, but she had been very small then, two or three years old. And her dad had told her, that she would always hide from the wax figures, they had made her very uncomfortable when she was small.
Still the first year found it was a good time to give it another try. Maybe this time would be better and she really wanted to know what the muggle studies professor knew. Maybe she would hear about some magical aspects in the muggle world?
Their way to the museum had not been very spectacular. They had walked there, from the heart of London. It reminded Opeila of annoying elementary school trips, those that everyone only attended to have a day without classes. It felt weird to do a normal trip with Hogwarts students and teachers, as almost nothing they had done was without magic. She was just glad that she wore nothing too warm.
Professor Galim told them to not touch anything but allowed them to look around when they went inside. That was what Opeila did, there was no one she wanted to wait for. It was no surprise to her, that many of her better acquaintances or friends did not want to come. After everything that happened, a trip to a museum indeed almost seemed boring, but a bit of humane boredom was exactly what Opeila wanted.
Her gaze fell on a boy, an older boy, third or fourth year probably, who just pulled his hand back as the Professor asked them to not touch anything. Wasn't he a Quidditch Player?
With a little smile on her face she walked in his direction, looking at the object he had been about to touch.
She frowned a little. Okay, the wax figures did make her feel weird. Wax belonged to candles... Opeila looked at a window. "Hey...", she said, "You are on one of the Quidditch teams, right?" Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff? She could not remember... "Hufflepuff, wasn't it?" This could totally be wrong. "I'm Opeila Seilun.", she ended her attempt of getting a conversation started, a little embarassed.

INTERACTING WITH; @Opeila Seilun
He tapped his foot against the wooden flooring of the wax museum and then turned his head as a voice tore his attention from what he was looking at. "Hey... You are on one of the Quidditch teams, right?" Oh? She recognized him? Maybe it was all the times he was benched so often that he was easily spotted on the bench as the badger's second string beater. He was always so loud too when he was benched. "Hufflepuff, wasn't it? I'm Opeila Seilun." The student's wandering eyes stopped already as it was tentatively set on the Slytherin girl.
A short and friendly laugh shook his shoulders as he tried to help her in breaking the ice. "Flattered you knew, it's nice to meet you. But I'm Reid Kovacs, Hufflepuff's backup beater at your service." He lightheartedly introduced himself, not used to being identified as anyone but 'Reid'. Meeting new people was still a bit of a nerve-wrecking moment for him, only because he didn't know how to really present himself, if he should even try at all.
He was supposed to be the well behaved nephew; quiet, soft-spoken, eloquent, and well mannered. But he was largely just a bit of a clown and he acted as such in most cases. So it was no surprise when after saying his name, he faked a two finger salute Opeila.
The third year slipped his hands into his jean's pockets as he rocked on the ball of his heel as he spoke to her in a more hushed tone to avoid looks. He assumed the museum crowds wouldn't take kindly to his voice. "Have you ever been to one of these wax museums? Honestly, not sure what to make of it." The exhibits seemed cool, interesting too, but the life-like look of the figures he just got a glimpse of were honestly a little too realistic to his liking.
But the purpose of the trip wasn't lost in translation, he understood that they were largely there to learn something about the muggle world. But he would be a liar if he didn't want to beg Professor Galim to be taken to the zoo instead. He wanted to see the London Zoo so badly, plus he had only been there a few times and he was very fond of seeing the penguin enclosure.

Open to social interactions
May was exited. Summer had begun, and they were walking down the London Quiddich Stadium to the Madam Tusseaud Wax museum. May had gone there before with her family. It was a very interesting museum, and muggle people went there all the time for tourist attraction or just for fun holidays at London. But she had gone there she had thought it was boring, since she was a little girl, but now that she was older, she felt more interested in that matter. Slipping through the students, she found a boy and a girl. The girl May knew immediately who it was. Opeila Seliun. She waved at her and smiled happily and then she realized that she was with someone else. She had seen him before...in Quiddich Practice? May waved at Reid Kovacs with a happy smile too.
"Aren't you two exited? The summer is begginging! And everything is going to be great." she giggled. Then, she decided to ask Reid what position he had in the Quiddich team, since she remembered him well, but didn't remember his position. "I just remembered. You're from the Quiddich team. Reid, right? I don't actually remember your position. I'm second string seeker."
Gaily, May turned to see what @Maya Galim the Muggle studies professor, was doing. May was anxious for the Museum tour to begin.

Opeila chuckled at the boy's introduction, that was followed by a faked two finger salutation. Reid Kovacs, backup beater. No, she was quite sure she had not heard that name before.
"Nice to meet you too. If I can call you Reid, you can call me Opeila.", she answered, her voice now lowered as well. She didn't talk overly loud before, just maybe a little over the appropriate volume. The first year still couldn't really get used to the habit of calling other students by their surnames. Jack Burnett was the only one, where she did it, but only because he had made the use of first names something special. She didn't want to keep anything that made it seem like they were close. They were absolutely not.
The Slytherin nodded, when Reid asked her if she had been to a wax museum before. "In fact I have. Or so I was told. I was raised the muggle way and my mother valued culture a lot." It was only after she finished that sentence, that she noticed that she spoke of her mother in past tense, but her face didn't change. No reason to give people something to find her strange for. Or worse, feel sorry for her.
"I was like two or three years old and apparently I hated it. And honestly, I totally understand it. Those look like horror dolls." She looked at a human wax figure. The face was just wrong somehow. "Have you ever been to o-", she wanted to ask the third year, when a girl barged into their conversation.
Opeila sighed innerly. She had met May Moonstar before, but after their last meeting, she simply wished that she would stay away. The Slytherin found her annoying.
And the enthusiasm in her voice, when she spoke now was almost sickening. Not to mention embarassing. When Opeila looked around, she saw some people look over to them, irritated looks on their faces.
Besides, this was only a muggle museum. Fascinating for sure, but May's giggling and excitement seemed fit for an amusement park but a little misplaced for the museum.
She frowned a little and showed her something that was... something between a smile and an uncomfortable grimace.

A wax museum? And you mean it’s in London and I’ve never been there? Lindsey wondered as looking around outside the museum.Interacting with @Reid Kovacs @May Moonstar @Opeila Seilun
Open to interactions!
She had been wandering out in Kensington from a young age, then when she got older, she started to seek adventures in London——muggle one, of course. She had even been to the Paddington Station, where she searched for the famous little bear in the muggle stories. But there’s a wax museum turning up now…the girl felt a little confused.
She looked yonder, and saw some brochures were served at the entrance. The girl’s eyes were suddenly lit.
She looked back to the crowd of students, prefects and professors. No one was noticing her, she soon found out. As a result, the girl lightly slipped away and got to the entrance.
“I’d like a brochure, sir.” she said to the man there.
“Okay here you are——” the man answered, while handing out some free brochures.
“Um, could you give me more?” she asked, pointing at the crowd of wizards students.“I’m sure that my friends would like some too.”
Lindsey then sneaked back, with plenty of brochures in her hand.
“Hi May!” she saw her friendly fellow badger and waved to her.
She then saw Opeila, a Slytherin girl that held a great small party in the classroom. There’s also an older boy, probably a third year or even older, that Lindsey didn’t know.
“Um hi Opeila…” Lindsey wasn’t sure if Opeila still remembered her. “Maybe you’d like a brochure I got from the entrance?”

"I was like two or three years old and apparently I hated it. And honestly, I totally understand it. Those look like horror dolls." She had a point the longer he looked. That earned a very stifled laugh from the young student, he had to agree in some ways with how the wax figures came off in the light. "I can't imagine these are night. Must be frightening working after hours. I'm sure they take time to make, they look to be up to scale."
He rubbed his eye, jostling the glasses a little as he was looking at what Opeila had mentioned. But from the corner of his eye, he saw May approaching and simply made room for the girl as he directed his attention to the two of them. Appearance wise, she was jogging his memory, but this was the first time he honestly heard her voice.
"I just remembered. You're from the Quidditch team. Reid, right? I don't actually remember your position. I'm second string seeker." The Hufflepuff nodded vigorously; he could recognize her from some of their practices. She was one of their younger players from what he remembered, nonetheless, a brilliant addition to the team. Nonetheless, they always needed second string seekers, well most positions in general.
But the seekers were always targeted and he was always disheartened to see his friend Serena in danger half the time. "Aye, that's me. Second string beater behind Saskia and Quinn. May, yeah? I'm pretty excited, the museum is ..." Reid trailed off a little when he seemed to notice something. The discomfort that Opeila showed wasn't all lost to him, so he tried to remain the neutral party and simply keep things light. As he was about to open his mouth, someone else seemed to join, so he leaned on the ball of his heel and glanced over to wherever the faculty might seem to be.
"We should at least move to the science room before Professor Galim says something." That was the original instructions as far as he was aware, he was simply taking his time in the lobby. Reid adjusted the glasses on the collar of his white shirt as he awaited the others. It was refreshing talking to new people, he liked his friends, but there was something exciting about a new experience with unfamiliar people.

May looked at Opeila and blinked a few times fast. What did she actually want from her? May understood that grimace immediately. She made a 'Sorry' like look, and turned to talk to Reid. May Moontsar at your service. I'm glad that Serena will play today. We didn't win when Teiki was second string, but Serena is a great seeker. I'm going to have a heart attack if I'm to play in front of all these people. Both- Drumstrang and Ilvermorny. And who knows how the Drumstrang gang will play? I bet you a galleon they will play dirty." she smiled, despite the odd air that was of course, taking over them all. She didn't like it when Opeila did that face. May wanted to ask her what was wrong, but May already knew. "Just because Hogwarts has been attacked two whole times doesn't mean you have to act like that when we're on a trip. Stop it Pei." she thought. Nonetheless, she turned to see Linsdey Springhall join their party.
"Why hello Linsdey." May greeted her fellow Hufflepuff, this time, with a less than happy smile on her face. The air wasn't in the mood to talk like that. She went with Reid and hopefully with the other two girls to the other department. "You know, these statues are actually interesting. I went here when I was about three. But then, I thought they were scary. They're still frightening tho." she chuckled. If they were to have fun, why not start with their own life story? Background was a good theme to start.
"Ooh, that brochure sounds good. You payed with Muggle money? Um, can you go and buy me one Linsdey?" she smiled at her fellow badger nervously and handed her two pennies for her to pay them off.

The Slytherin pulled a spooked face when she imagined being in those rooms at night. "Ew god. Working here at night... No, I could never. I wonder... If the sun shines on them for too long, could they melt? That would be scary. Imagine their face being different every time you walk past them." She shuddered.
Opeila frowned a little when May blinked at her. For a moment it seemed like the Hufflepuff had realized that she was too loud. Good.
This was the only thing that May would be able to tell from Opeila's face, as they only met two times before, there was no way, that she had any idea of what was going on inside Opeila's head.
The Slytherin was no legilimens, but if she knew May's assumptions, there would be another thing she would know: The Hufflepuff knew absolutely nothing.
The only thing that Opeila did feel uncomfortable about, was May's presence. The girl had been rude to her the last time, on Opeila's own event, and never apologized. And now, in the museum where they were standing, she found May's behaviour inappropriate and embarassing.
Another familiar face joined their little group. Opeila remembered her, she was at the little get together in the classroom on the second floor a few weeks ago. Apparently the girl remembered her as well, greeted her with her name and offered her a brochure. Opeila smiled at her. The Slytherin didn't really know her, but from what she had seen and heard so far, the girl seemed to be nice company. "Hey... Lindsey, was it? Yes, I'd love one, thank you.", she said, and took one of the brochures. Opeila had not thought of taking one when she was at the entrance, so she was grateful that Lindsey gave her one of those.
May asked Lindsey to go and buy her one as well, causing Opeila to frown again. How rude could someone... Lindsey had brought a whole lot of those brochures and offered them, but May would still ask her to go back and buy another one? That girl had nerves...
Opeila was glad when Reid suggested that they could go to the science room, like Professor Galim had said. "Good idea. Let's go.", she said, slowly walking in the room's direction, waiting for the others to come as well.
