THE BACKSTORY:
Jade was born on September 8, 2000 in Moscow, Russia, to her parents Helena and Rian Blackwood. The young couple was overjoyed the day their one and only daughter was born. It was a day that marked a new light for the family and the dawning of a new era to come.

Jade's mother, Helena, who was born and raised in Moscow, was a naturally gifted dancer. She spent many years before Jade was born performing on stage with her favorite dance being ballet. She retired to mother Jade when she was born. Her father, Rian, was an auror born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. He spent many years working there with the ministry until opportunity brought him to Russia where some of his roots could be found because of his distant grandfather. It was at Red Square where the two met and fell in love.

By the age of six, it was clear that Jade was special. She loved the outdoors, but most of all she was fascinated with animals and from a young age learning of her family history. Though, one fateful day in the dead of winter disaster struck. There was a bad accident. Rian was driving a car to the Red Square with Helena and Jade in hopes of vising the place where Helena and Rian had first met for their anniversary.

Rian had not realized how slick the road was. One moment the family was happily driving along as the world passed by and in the next instant everything went bad. The tires slipped on a piece of ice covered by snow and that was when it happened. Rian lost control of the car and the car jerked hard enough to the right that it flipped. All were buckled, but the impact was too great. Helena faced the brunt of the crash and died instantly. Rian and Jade were injured, but not badly enough to be life-threatening.

That was the turning point of Jade's life. A few months later, Rian and Jade moved back to Ireland in order to be closer to Rian's side of the family. Rian had changed after his wife died. He took it all out on Jade and caused the young seven-year-old to take care of the house and learn about the world by herself as her father wasted away drinking liquor.

Jade was overjoyed when she received her letter to attend Hogwarts. It was her escape from reality and her chance to get away from the father who had stopped caring the moment her mother had died.

At Hogwarts, Jade was distant. She kept to herself and used her newfound Parselmouth abilities to keep her company. her snake being her closest friend. Jade had become a Slytherin. The famed house of her family as they were a long line of Slytherins.

Jade spent the rest of her time at Hogwarts studying hard and learning all she could in order to become the best witch she could upon graduation. Graduation came quicker than she had expected. One moment she was a first year eager to find herself and now here she was on the cusp of leaving the school and having to figure out what to do with her life.

At first, Jade moved away from her father's home in Dublin and moved into a comfortable apartment where she resided until she was able to buy her own house a few years later. It was in that apartment that she spent late nights studying to become a curse breaker. It was one of the things that she loved in the world. She also had a passion for plants after spending much time with her Herbology professor in the greenhouses. It was how she had gained her edge on know the different kinds of plants and what they did. She also knew which ones were safe, dangerous, or useful in potions.

Eventually, Jade's studying paid off and she was able to become a novice cursebreaker where she has spent the rest of her life doing and working up the ranks in until now.

THE FIOM:
Jade was eight years old and frustrated from an argument with her father. He had not listened to her when she tried to explain that she was busy and couldn't wash the dishes he had never told her to wash in the first place. Suddenly, a cup of water shot across the room and crashed into the wall. Jade was shocked with what had happened and hadn't known what to do. She had quickly cleaned up the mess she had caused before her father arrived again. He would be furious if he knew what had happened.

THE PERSONALITY:
Jade is guarded, but one of the most loyal people you can meet if you manage to befriend her. Because of her traumatic childhood, she finds it difficult to trust people, but once she trusts you, you have a strong ally. Jade is also stern and favors order and respect. Jade prefers her solitary time above social interaction.

THE PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Jade is a pretty girl with piercing green eyes and rich brown hair. She has a scar on her left wrist from a car accident her mother died in when she was six years old. She chose to keep the scar as a reminder of her mother. Her hair cascades down her back and can usually be found either down or in a ponytail depending on her mood.

THE MENTAL DESCRIPTION:
Jade is intellectual and calculating. She is also charismatic and sweet when she wants to be or depending on her mood. She above all else desires obedience and respect.
