Drip. Drip. Drip.

The tears rolled down her face, dripping into the sink below. Her fingers gripped the edges of the white basin below her. Her arms were shaking slightly, struggling to hold her body upright. Nothing made sense to her anymore. Her mind was all jumbled up. There were too many thoughts, too many unanswered questions. It hadn’t been long since it all happened. A boy she considered a friend – a good one at that – had just acted so cruelly to her. It was like he no longer wanted to be her friend. But it made no sense: he was the one who kissed her. Not the other way around. Surely, she was the one who had the right to be angry – not him. It all too confusing.

Did she have cooties? How do cooties work?

Serena had no idea how the whole thing worked. All she knew was that boys had cooties. And that he had kissed her… perhaps passing the 'lurgies' on. Was she meant to go to the hospital now? Would she get ill? Oh my - would people be able to tell she had cooties?! Would her parents find out? That would be awful. They... would be so disappointed in her. Even though it wasn't her fault!

She stared down at the sink, hurt and upset. Not that long ago, she was trying to help an injured boy get to the hospital wing. No, not just any boy, her friend. Now, she stood in the abandoned toilets where he had gotten injured.

There was fresh blood around the room. Not a lot. Splatters, here and there. She had noticed some on the other sink. It couldn’t make the room much worse – the place looked like hell to begin with. Serena still never understood the point of this awful looking place. But it made a good refuge for times like this. She had sat in the corridor and cried for a while earlier. She had no idea how long she had been there. But eventually, she watched the boy that had hurt her walk away and was left deserted in the quiet corridor. As though of its own accord, her body got up and started walking. She eventually came across this room: the abandoned toilets.

Her body was just looking for a place to go so she was sitting in the corridor. However, this one made most sense. She entered it but saw no one around. Whoever he had fought with were long gone… The blood splatters around the room were the only signs that something had taken place here. She didn’t know whose blood it was. Perhaps it was his, perhaps it was the ones he had fought with. In all honesty, it was her job and duty to find out what had happened there so she could report it. Well, it would have been a part of her Prefect role. However, she didn’t have the emotional energy or strength to go find out. She just couldn’t. The only way to find out was to ask… him. And she really needed want to do that.

In all honesty, Serena had no idea why she was crying. Was she upset that he kissed her? That he had ruined the fairy tale that all children believed in. The one were Prince Charming would come and kiss the Princess and everything would be ok. Or was it the fact that he didn’t care? He didn’t care if he gave her cooties or hurt her. Perhaps it was the fact that their friendship had no value to him.

These thoughts may not be accurate, but they were her thoughts. It was how she viewed the whole situation. And in her jumbled up mind, she simply did not understand what was wrong with that boy. The one she thought was a friend. Friends don’t hurt each other like this…

Serena moved her hand to her chest and clutched it. It hurt. Her whole body ached. She was tired. It had spent too much energy crying. She felt so drained out that even the tears were slowing down. They dripped into the sink one by one, rather than the stream of tears she had earlier in the corridor. She could count them.

They were all she could hear. Her light sobbing, standing over the sink. All because of that Gryffindor boy who she thought was a friend. All because of Siege.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Delilah had just came out of Charms and decided to go a walk around the school. Suddenly she came across the abandoned toilets, she saw blood on the floor coming out of the bathroom and a black circle not too much bigger than a hand on the wall. She immediately thought of a certain gryffindor who she had heard had a tendancy for getting into fights and setting stuff on fire. When she met him he just scared the living daylights out of her and they just talked for a while by the lake. But she shook the thought out of her head when she heard a noise.

Is somebody crying in there?

Delilah immediately opened the bathroom door, seeing more blood in there and quite a lot on one of the sinks, whoever fought in here probably wasn't feeling too good afterwards. Then the short Ravenclaw saw somebody who she faintly recognised as the Hufflepuff Prefect. She rushed to her side, placing one had on her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her. She then pulled a couple paper towels out of the dispenser and passed them to her, "I have many questions but I think it would be best to start with one, what happened?"

She was angrier than she had been in a long time, Delilah wasn't one to get angry very often, being the stereotypical good girl who follows all the rules. But at the moment she was thinking up a string of insults for whoever did this to this girl, not only because she was a prefect, but because she was a girl and whoever did whatever to her must have hurt her bad.

Delilah was trying to figure out if whoever it was hurt her mentally or physically, but she didnt have many clues to go by, the girl was crying a lot, saying she was a mess at the moment would be an understatement, but every girl is a state sometimes. And it was now Delilah's job to get to the bottom of this and give whoever it was who did this I right kick, with her boots on, she had boots that we slightly high-yield, not really high, just little ones, mainly used for Delilah to feel slightly less short.

She really hoped it wasn't Siege now, other than calling her 'smarty' almost every time he could have said her name, he seemed nice. Not that she wouldn't give Siege a kick if it actually was him, she had already threatened to kick him once, but this time it wouldn't just be an empty threat.

Delilah tried her best to calm down the girl, under any other circumstance she would let her cry it out, but she looked as if she had already done that, and Delilah needed answers as to what happened, who did it, and where could I find them now.

Serena was so lost in her own thoughts that she never realised someone else had arrived. The only noise she could hear was on the dripping sound that came from her tears and fell into the sink. Her mind raced with so many thoughts... She just couldn't understand why it came to this. Why it all happened?

A hand on her shoulder suddenly snapped her out of it. Inhaling sharply, she looked over to see another girl standing there, holding out paper towels for her. Serena instantly smiled, taking them and wiping her face to show that she was okay - well at least, make the other girl feel a bit better. "Thank you," She replied as she dried off her face.

Shaking her head, she smiled weakly, "Some people just got hurt earlier," Serena replied as she looked around the room and pointed towards the blood, "I was just inspecting it for my report...". In all honesty, she didn't want to tell everyone about the awkward kiss that had just happened. In fact, she didn't even want to acknowledge it. Saying it out aloud would definitely be acknowledging it. Talking about the fight seemed smarter, safer. It was getting late and she was on one of her Prefect patrols when it all happened, so it made sense for her to be here. Of course, she knew she couldn't keep the fact she was upset about something a secret. I mean, the girl did catch her crying over a sink. It wasn't exactly believable if she said she was fine.

Her gaze caught a glimpse of the blood by the sink again. That... was his, wasn't it? He mentioned getting hit by the sink. Biting her lip, she stared at the blood on it. Was he even okay? He could barely walk when she saw him. He was struggling to cope... And she left him there. An uneasy feeling of dread came over her. She let him walk off, despite his injuries.

Although she was trying really hard to not cry, she couldn't help herself. She felt awful. The guilt was eating away at her too now. Sniffing, Serena tried super hard to stop herself from crying but a tear or two still fell down her face whilst she was trying to avert her gaze from the girl.

She noticed the girl had jumped when she touched her so she gently rubbed her arm to help calm her down, she was trying her best to stop crying and she was doing a pretty good job for the state she was in. "Must have been quite the fight. I feel bad for whoever's blood that is." She said, looking around at the blood, and indicating to the sink when she said the last part. It was mildly unnerving how okay Delilah was with seeing blood, her dad was a doctor and she seemed to just have inherited the gene to not be freaked out by it. She was more concerned about the smell in that room as the blood was drying, it was sickening.

"Are you okay though? You didn't get hurt did you?" She asked, stepping back a little to inspect her clothes for blood spots before seeing none and returning to where she was."Was it one of your friends who got hurt? If that is then case could I ask who it is? They might have to go hospital with the state this place is in, and there is blood outside as well. I don't even know how the wall got burned." She rambled on a bit, trying to get information out of her but also trying to distract the girl from her thoughts, they were probably more harmful than Delilah asking all these questions. She hands the girl another tissue to hold on to, they weren't the softest in the world, being school paper towels, but they did their job, even if it was a little scratchy. "I recognise you as a prefect but your name slips my mind, do you mind telling me? I'm Delilah." She smiled. Delilah was trying her very hardest not to get even angrier than he already was, putting on a fake smile so that she didn't know how angry she was inside at whoever made her cry, this was one of Delilah's downfalls, the fact that she cares for everybody as long as they have done no wrong to her and her family, which was nice but there is a line between nice and a caring too much, Delilah stood on that line.

"To be completely honest with you, I really want to kick whoever !are you cry, why would anybody do whatever it was to you?" That was always Delilah's threat, to kick people, she would never punch anybody unless she had no other choice, she preferred to kick, plus her legs were stronger than her arms and she knew how to do a roundhouse kick. It was the only thing she could do though, a teacher had taught her to do it back in her village for self defense since she was a petite girl. Although since she was so short, a roundhouse kick doesn't hit anything higher than people's thighs on the few people she has used it on, obviously she wasn't aware that the person she would be placing the threat on was already somebody she knew.

"Are you feeling a little better now?" Delilah asked, of course she wouldn't be feeling great, but there was a possibility that her constant and rhythmic rubbing on the upper arm would calm her down a bit.

Serena sighed softly. She knew the girl was just trying to comfort her but her words were actually, unknowingly, causing her to worry more. Must have been quite a fight... Serena felt her body tense up at that thought. As far as she knew, Siege was the one that got hurt. She never saw who he fought, he didn't tell her... Were they picking on him? Did they beat him up? Or did he start it? She had no idea whose blood this was... but thinking about it, he actually didn't seem to have too much blood on him. Perhaps it was the people he fought with but... were they they? Serena frowned in thought. They had already left here by the time she had arrived - because no one was around. Perhaps they were able to walk themselves to the hospital wing or someone had found them.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." She replied, shaking her head slightly, "No no, they were gone before I got here... So I don't know whose blood it is..." In all honesty, she didn't know. The one on the sink was most likely Siege's... But she didn't know who he fought. She should have asked but she didn't. She had planned to ask him details after she knew he was safe but, well, he told her to shut the hell up and walked off for some reason that was still unclear to her.

She hated herself right now. It dawned on her that she was protecting a guy who had just... kissed her and then acted like it was no big deal and then yelled at her. But for some reason, that Hufflepuff loyalty was in her body. She wasn't about to tell a stranger that Siege had got involved in yet another fight. Besides, it was her duty as Prefect to report the situation to the staff but there was no reason to cause a scandal or spread gossip around. It wasn't anyone else's business who was fighting. Right? Though, speaking of duty... Her Prefect report was going to be incomplete unless she questioned the one boy she knew was involved. And she really didn't want to ask him about it.

Serena gasped slightly as she quickly looked at the wall. The Ravenclaw had noticed the burn mark on it but hadn't realised how it had happened. She stared at it for a moment. Frowning, she knew exactly how it happened. She knew it was Siege's mark. It had to be. She had seen him use fire magic before - when he almost hit her in the face with it. Again though, she wasn't about to say that to her, "That could have been here before... Most of this damage has been here since the start of the year." She replied. She had come here once before with Bloom and wondered why most of the mirrors had been broken, why half the taps didn't work, why a lot of the toilet doors were broken. Everything was wrecked. The only new addition was that burn mark and fresh blood, which was definitely new by the fact it hadn't fully dried. There wasn't a lot of blood but certainly splatters everywhere and some worrying amounts in certain places, like that damn sink.

"Oh, sorry, I'm Serena," She replied, with a weak smile on her face to try and seem okay. However, Delilah's words hit her and made it harder to pretend she was okay. The Ravenclaw was being honest with her and showed some anger at the fact Serena had been crying. There was no use pretending she hadn't cried. In all honesty, she wanted to kick Siege too. The idiot had kissed her and then yelled at her! Who does that? What did she ever do to deserve that? What did she do to deserve his... cooties??

Was she okay? Delilah asked her if she was okay but Serena couldn't answer. She had no words. A Hufflepuff was honest and saying she was okay would be an outright lie right now. The thoughts that were going through her head made her not okay.

Clenching her fists again tightly around the paper towels that the girl had given her, she shook with anger a little. She was so mad at him. How could he treat her in this way...? They were friends, weren't they? Or at least, she had always considered him a friend. She had spent so many hours worried about him, trying to help him and he just...

He just hurt her.

Without warning, the girl's knees gave out. She suddenly collapsed onto the floor and buried her face into her hands as she started to sob into the ball of tissue and her open palms. Someone who she had considered her closest friend had hurt her. So badly. She was a Hufflepuff. She was loyal. She admired loyalty in others and yet, her closest friend had forsaken her and failed to show her any loyalty. Perhaps they were never friends to begin with.

Serena sat on her knees, leaning her body against the bloody sink as she sobbed into her hands. Her entire body shaking as she finally gave in to all of the emotions in her body.

Delilah stopped asking questions, she obviously wasn't telling her something but in the state she was in, Delilah didn't feel like dragging it out of her. She learned the girl's name to be Serena, she knew when was hiding something because of her constant glances to the sink and that burn mark, and Delilah was hoping it wasn't Siege like she thought of originally. Delilah walked over to the burn mark, placing her hand over it for a minute, "Still a little warm, I'm surprised brick could hold heat for however long it has been." She mumbled. Suddenly she heard a bang, Delilah's head turned towards the noise as quickly as possible, Serena was on the ground, sobbing again. Delilah ran over to her and kneeled on the ground beside her.

Delilah couldn't get Siege out of her mind now, the romours she had heard about him, and this, the pair correlated too well, and she had heard that him and Serena hung out quite often. She was panicking, if it did happen to be him then she wouldn't hesitate to kick him as promised, but she felt a little sick to her stomach in thinking that Siege got in a fight, and it looked like a really bad one, and she couldn't help wondering if he was okay. She gently rubbed Serena's back, the questions were probably too much for her, they had the opposite effect of what Delilah had asked them for. And it didn't help her clear Siege off of her radar.

What would he do to Serena to make her cry? Did he get really hurt? Where is he now?

These were the questions Delilah asked herself, too scared to ask Serena if there was any correlation between him and this event in case it made her cry more. Delilah kind of wanted to cry now, she barely even knew Siege, but she cared about him like she did everybody else, and now there was a possibility he was really hurt. And before she knew it the words slipped out of her lips.

"Siege had something to do with this. Didn't he?"

Her entire body continued to shake as she sobbed uncontrollably into her hands. All of the emotions that she had been feeling were flooding out of her in a wave of tears. That worry that she had been holding onto since she saw a stumbling boy walking down the corridor. The anger she felt knowing someone had hurt one of her friends and not being able to do anything. The confusion at someone kissing her and then acting like he didn't, or that it wasn't important or that he didn't even remember... The guilt for leaving him and letting him go, despite being injured. The fear that something bad might happen to him. The sadness she felt at being yelled at and having her so called friend walk off... Her chest hurt. It really hurt. Why did he do this to her?

Serena felt Delilah's hand on her back. She tried to comfort her but it didn't stop the tears coming out. All of the pent up emotions were surging out of her now. She couldn't stop herself from crying, she couldn't control herself. Serena was not one to cry in front of others, unless she was close to them or it was about something silly - like during one of those muggle films that had a sad scene on. However, she couldn't help herself. She was crying in front of a total stranger right now.

It must have been at least a minute or two of pure sobbing but it felt like a lot longer. The one thing that broke her concentration was Delilah's voice. Or more specifically, the last name she wanted to hear right now and the only name she could think of right now. "Wh- What? She asked, suddenly inhaling and sniffing hard as she looked up. She blinked, staring at Delilah. How did the girl know? Was it that obvious?

Wait... did Serena have "Siege Cooties" all over her? Did she suddenly look different? Was she now marked or branded in some way that this random girl could tell that Siege had... Siege had... Siege had kissed her, damn it! "Si- Siege? Wh- What?" She asked her, curiously, as though she was asking who he was or what she meant. She had no idea how or why the girl knew that Siege had kissed her but that thought terrified her. If Delilah knew then everyone else would be able to tell too... Oh God, what if one of the pureblood students that were family friends with her found out and told their parents? Their parents would tell hers and... then she'd be killed. Her parents were definitely against her even being friends with boys - let alone kissing one!

Serena had been busy crying and completely missed the fact that Delilah went over to inspect the burn. She had no idea that the Ravenclaw was talking about the fight right now. Serena was definitely worried about the cootie situation here, thinking that's what she was talking about.

Delilah was trying her best to comfort Serena, she wasn't very good at it but she was trying nonetheless. "Umm..Siege, I've heard he gets into fights quite often and when he gets angry he burns things. Quite unique if you ask me." She laughed a little, looking over at the burn mark to the blood again. She hadn't planned to speak to Serena about Siege but now she had to. " I met him at the lake once, I don't know him very well but he can be a bit annoying." She stated, referencing him calling her 'smarty' even though she told him not to and threatened to kick him in the back of the head if he continued, which of course he did.

"Do you know if he had anything to do with this? Also if he is the one who made you cry I swear to god I'm gonna.." Delilah managed to stop herself before she spurted out a large amount of threats and swears. She still felt a little sick about the fact that he might be hurt. "Please tell me he is okay though, if he isn't okay and he is the one to make you cry then I would feel bad for kicking his ass."

Serena blinked as she looked at Delilah and tried to process her words. She kept sniffing but she had managed to calm herself down a little so she wasn't sobbing uncontrollably anymore. Being distracted from her own thoughts definitely helped. Hearing that boy's name though was certainly a bit of a shock. "Ah ye- no- yeah- no no-" Serena mumbled out shaking her head in every direction as she was confused. Yes Siege completely had everything to do with this but no she wasn't crying about the fight, nor did he hit her or anything like that. Taking a pause to collate her thoughts, she continued, "I- It's not about the fight-" explaining that that's not the reason for her tears.

A soft sigh escaped her as she exhaled and cried a little more before wiping her tears with her sleeve because the paper towels were pretty much wetter than her face was now anyway. The Hufflepuff shook her head, "I don't know what's wrong with him. Maybe he's okay. Maybe he's not. I don't know. He's... acting odd..." She continued trying to explain the situation, "He- He-" She didn't know what to say. Or rather, perhaps she didn't want to admit what had happened, "He didn't hit me. The students that were fighting here had already gone. No one was here. But..." She explained. Siege didn't hit her - this time. And she had no intention of getting him in trouble when, as far as she knew, he might have been the victim in all of this. He was, after all, the only one she had seen who was injured. Crying a little, she managed to say, "But this isn't about the fight..." before she broke down into tears again and sobbed a little more as she recalled what it was about.

Delilah kind of wanted to laugh at her confusion, she was pretty much just spinning her head, shaking and nodding it at the same time. But she didn't. One weight was taken off of her chest when she said he didn't hurt her and that she wasn't crying over the fight, but it raises a few more questions. She passed her another paper towel or two but there weren't too many left in the dispenser. She explained a couple more times that Siege was acting strangely and that she wasn't crying at the fight. It sounded like he did something to her, but at least it ruled out him physically hurting her, she would have gotten even angrier if that was the case.

Then she broke down again, "I'm surprised you have any tears left." She laughed light-heartedly, trying to cheer her up a bit. Still running her back. "So what did he do to make you cry then? Please tell me everything." It was kind of funny, Serena had come here to file a report on what happened and yet Delilah was asking her so many questions you would think she was the investigator. She now had her anger directed at Siege, the shoes she was wearing would be perfect for a kick in the knee for example, maybe a little higher, although he would probably get the most pain out of the knee since she can't kick higher than majority of people's thighs. Either the ankle or the knee...hmm.
