New Friendships Closed

Rose seemed confused regarding the difference between Norse and Nordic, so the Ravenclaw jumped in to clear it up. "Nordic is many Northern Europe countries, like Denmark, Norway, Finland, etc, while Norse refers to the Norsemen, people living there before Christians invaded the area. So essentially, they refer to the same mythology. The 9 worlds of Norse mythology are Niflheim, Muspelheim, Asgard, Midgard, Jotunheim, Vanaheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim, Helheim."

Lyra blushed as Teresa said "What do you say? Would you like to go with us?", and the Ravenclaw sat up as a chilly wind blew by, hugging her knees to her chest and diving a little further into her hoodie, for comfort. No one had really asked her over, unless you count distant relatives who wanted to offer their condolences for two deaths they could've perhaps prevented. The Ravenclaw had of course refused, as she was still in a state of depression, but this time it was different. Teresa was asking her to spend a summer with her and Rose, out of friendship. That's why Lyra smiled as she answered "Yeah, I'd love to. I'd have to owl my mother, since she's a bit protective at times, but it should be alright. I would love to see dragons, they're fascinating."

Since the first-year had talked quite a bit, she let her Gryffindor friend reply to Teresa's statement on Greek and Roman mythology.

"A Dragon Farm?!" Rose exclaimed. "Now I really want to go." Seeing that Lyra seemed to be hiding a little bit in her hoodie, Rose added sincerely, "I would love to have you there. The more, the merrier, right?" Turning to Teresa, she added, "Thank you so much for inviting us, that was so kind of you."
Rose listened to Lyra's excellent explaination of Norse and Nordic Mythology. "Oh, okay, that makes sense. Thanks."
Teresa talked about the Romans and the Greeks, how the gods were her favorite. "It's so interesting how there are so many gods for different things. I know the mist about Greek Mythology, since I'm not a geek about Mythology yet."
Rose looked up at the castle. "I'm going to miss this place so much," she said, mostly to herself. "It's like a home away from home. I mean, I miss my little siblings and my mom, but... I do t really want to ever leave Hogwarts." she confessed. "I can't wait until we go to your Grandparents house with you. It's going to be so fun. And... Well, I know we just met, but I'll miss you guys over the summer."

Teresa listened to Lyra in awe. "That's so awesome!" The smaller girl praised the Ravenclaw. "And really interesting, too. Thanks for clearing things up!" She smiled widely.

Teresa then clapped excitedly. "Okay! That's fine with me, you can owl me back about what your mother said, I have to still check with my parents, but as I said I'm 100 % sure they'll be fine with you being over!"

"Yes, a Dragon Farm! I had the honor to hatch a baby dragon last summer! The baby should be as tall as me now." Well, maybe even taller than Teresa. But she was sure that the type of that dragon grew fast, about 3 times faster than a human being. "It's silly, but he doesn't have a name yet still over the year. So I'm asking you to do the honor of naming our baby dragon."

"Ah," Teresa waved her hand towards Rose. "forget it, I'm glad I get to spend the summer with my friends."

Teresa nodded along, saying nothing as Rose talked about the Gods. She didn't want to interrupt anything, that would be rude.

"Aw!" Teresa let out, emotional. "I'll miss you too, girls!" She put her hands around Rose and Lyra's necks, pulling them into a group hug.
