Griseldis rarely visit the Courtyard, she mostly went to the Great Lake because she enjoyed the nature around where she could truly relax. But there was no denying that the Courtyard was still the most popular part in the Hogwart castle for the student to visit, for them was the better place to take a breather after studying. Now that it was Springtime, the mesmerizing sight of the Courtyard had been restored. When arriving in the Courtyard, it was all green you see, the vines embracing the stoned pillars, small flowers blossoming and you could hear the calming sound of the fountain that was located in the center of the Courtyard.

Time surely flew by, Griseldis decided to write a letter to her uncle, a very well-respected Magizoologist who was currently doing his research on magical creatures in Ireland. Before going to Hogwarts, her uncle would often visit her in Bridgwater and told her stories about different kinds of magical creatures he came across around the world. He would sometimes show her small creatures like a Niffler, a Bowtruckle or a Half-Kneazle for example, her father, however, didn't like it and often scolded his older brother for doing that and said it could be dangerous for her to get near the magical creatures but her uncle always made sure to show her lower-class creatures that were at least harmless and friendly towards people. Normally, people would write their letters in their own dorm rooms or in the library but Griseldis was the type of person who loved outdoors because it would be easier for her to get more inspiration when she was surrounded around nature. Besides, the fresh air always helped her focus.

No matter how many times she visited the Courtyard, it would never have crowed even though it was really a famous place to rest. There were only a few students around minding their own things so she went to sit beside the water fountain. She took out her a piece of paper and a quill pen then began to write her letter. There were so many interesting events she wanted to tell her uncle, like how she was chosen to become the new Prefect and how she nailed her Defense Against the Dark Arts assignment, meeting more new friends. But then she heard someone's footsteps coming towards her direction, she quickly looked up and gasped in surprise.

It was a very pretty Gryffindor girl with long dark brown hair and pale skin, she seemed slightly older than her and what really stood out was her large brown eyes with long curly eyelashes. The person in front of her gave out an aura of a prideful noble as if she was from a prestigious family. But it wasn't really her beauty that made her gasp, it was that Griseldis was very surprised to see the former Prefect and she did hear her name before from their Head of House. "Anastasia Beckett...H-hi.", Griseldis didn't really know how to react because she never expected the former Gryffindor Prefect to greet her so sudden without a warning but it was only polite to greet her back as well. "I really didn't expect to see you here. I'm Griseldis Edelhardt, became the current Prefect of our House since last year September. It's an honor to meet you.", Griseldis greeted Anastasia with a smile and wondered if there was something she wanted to ask her or just wanted to have a simple conversation with her.

Ana couldn't decide if she missed being a prefect or not. It was quite a bit of fun, but she wasn't sure she had been the most effective prefect. She had certainly preformed more nonsense and shenanigans than she had stopped. Still, she didn't think that her exploits were too much of a problem. She hadn't hurt too many people. Well, not physically anyway. Well, she had but only a few. How was she losing an argument with herself?

The entire system of having prefects was something Ana found mildly questionable. Having students report each other and giving those with highly questionable track records such as herself the authority to give detention to others sounded a lot like a police state to her. The selection process was also something that clearly flawed, seeing as Ana somehow passed it. Even Ana knew that there was exactly no world where she should be an authority figure to anyone other than her cat. And she wasn't sure that her cat agreed that she should have authority over it. Overall, the system was somewhat questionable and Ana had realized she had issues with it somewhere between Russia and New York.

She had far more issues with the way that Pureblood society was structured and operated. Specifically the elite pureblood society that seemed to run everything about her life. Her parents had nearly fainted when she had ranted about this, and her father had yelled at her for literally days after she had ended the conversation with declaring that they should eat the rich. Among other things, her father had emphatically reminded her that "WE are the rich", which Ana had said was exactly why the rich must be eaten.

Her attention snapped back to the present, back to the new prefect. The girl seemed rather surprised to see her and Ana rather wondered what people had said about her. She had suddenly disappeared right before the end of the school year, and then proceeded not to show up to school until today. There was really no telling, and it didn't seem exactly polite to ask about it. Still, seeing as she didn't know many people after being gone for so long, she figured she might as well talk to this prefect for a bit. And alright, possibly get some information. "Oh, well, I suppose I owe you a rather late congratulations," Ana said brightly to the other girl. "And it's quite a please to meet you as well. Griseldis is lovely name, by the way."
