Meeting a friend
Laura was excited when she went to her common room after her last lesson of the day. She and Jessica had planned (in their charms lesson) to meet in the corridor during the night. They did not know what they were going to do there maybe play a prank on somone or make a prank in a class so when the professor walked in to the classroom in the early morning to plan the lessons for the day he or she would walk straight into the prank. They could also practice some spells but that would be really risky you know. They could also do something else like roam the corridors and explore the castle maybe they could explore this part like the corridor tonight and then maybe the dungeons tomorrow or somewhere else tomorrow. That would be fun or they could do all of it. Hopefully Jessica and Laura would not be caught by a professor or prefect patrolling the corridors that would just make it worse cause Laura already had detention and was just waiting for the prefect who caught her to tell her the date. So hopefully she would not get caught again and if they heard someone they could anyways hide in the classroom.

Jessica had looked forward all the evening to meeting Laura. As soon as her lesson was over, she rushed back to the common room, pretending that she had no engagements. She was aware that it was against the rules to go through the corridors at night, but this fact only added to the excitement of the whole situation.
She was unsure what they would really do when they met. Jessica had a number of ideas in her head. They might go round the castle and come across corridors which they had never seen, or they could perhaps locate an unused classroom in which to try out a few harmless spells. She also enjoyed the thought of pulling a small prank, even though she was aware that they had to be careful not to cause any trouble for themselves or for anyone else.
Jessica looked at the time and waited with impatience. She wished that Laura would remember the place where they were meant to meet. She felt nervous about being caught by a professor or a prefect, particularly as Laura had already been caught before and was awaiting detention.
Yet Jessica couldn't manage to stop smiling since she had always enjoyed adventures and the idea of exploring Hogwarts at night seemed to her like the ideal chance for one. She picked up her belongings, took a deep breath, and got ready to slip out of the common room.

Laura left the common room she was especially careful since she was going somewhere after curfew and she did not want another detention. Laura remember that they were meeting in the classroom that was not used. She made her way to the classroom from where they were going to go into the corridor and maybe explore or they would stay in the class and practice some charms. But roaming the castle would also be nice. She would have to speak with Jess. She was almost in the classroom when she heard footsteps she squeezed behind an armor stand and listened she could see somone coming. Then she noticed that it was only Jessica who had grown alot since she had last seen her. She moved out behind the armor stand. And greted her friend from Hufflepuff. Jess was wearing a night gown. Laura was still wearing her robes that she wore the whole day. Now that she thought about it they felt itchy and uncomfortable but who cares. And the robes were really annoying because Jess could just say she was on her way to the bathroom but Laura could not really. They walked to the the classroom andcarefully opened the door. Their eyes adapted to the dark room. Laura lighted her wand. And asked So what are we doing can we roam the halls or should we practice some charms or should we pull a pull prank?

Jessica listened to what Laura had to say and a mischievous smile began to appear on her face; the idea of strolling around Hogwarts after curfew turned out to be far more exciting than she had anticipated.
"Exploring is fun," she whispered, "because how often are we really given the opportunity to wander about when everybody else is asleep?"
She looked in the direction of the doorway, stayed quiet for a moment and then turned back to look at Laura.
We can learn some charms again another night; though the idea of pulling a prank is tempting, I'd rather not have to explain what went wrong for the rest of the week. She laughed softly.
Jessica stepped out and looked about her, and her curiosity won the day. The castle seemed entirely different at night—it was quieter, darker, and in some way much more mysterious.
She said, "Let's see where it takes us," her voice no more than a whisper, "perhaps we'll come across something interesting."
She started to walk and from time to time looked round in an attempt to remember the direction in which they had intended to go.
"Actually, the idea of doing this was a better one than remaining in the common room all evening".
Jessica smiled to herself and enjoyed the excitement of carrying out a bit of rebellion even though she hadn't really got any specific plan.
"Sure then, Laura, let's have a look at what Hogwarts has in store for us this night."
