A shark? A fish? Tea.
[font=times new roman]
──────── This was the day that Zykeal decided to release his pent up anger and aggression that was building up within him. Having noticed the gathering of students gathering in the yard this afternoon, he decided that it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for him to join the gathering that was being had. Casual muggle attire was adorned, the black ripped black skinny jeans, a classic black Led Zepplin shirt, his standard grey beanie, and a pair of black Nyjah DCs. When he was allowed too, that typical skater attitude presented itself in his apparel today. It was apparent that he was more standoff-ish than the typical Gryffindor.
Arriving late to the party, he noticed as others departing from their activities at the 'tea party', it wasn't something that he'd normally do of course, but, he decided to get out of his normal comfort zone for once. Wand tucked securely within the waistband of his jeans, he'd make his way over towards one of the tabletops that were set out by the organizers of the event. A little smile was formed upon his features as he noticed that the lone table he had chosen was decorated with the different materials he would use to have a little fun for himself today. House-elves seemed to have even produced some little cookies for him to enjoy while he worked on whatever he decided would be achievable for him.
Sitting himself down alone at the table, he scoured the grounds and couldn't help but notice a few others that he recognized at the time. There were Dee and Lizzie, with a few others, they seemed to be having fun and he wouldn't disturb their girl time. Honestly, he wished that electronics could be used here at Hogwarts, nothing would be better than a pair of earbuds with some chill music playing through his head when he crafted. Regardless, Zykeal would allow himself to sift through the different materials in front of him, thinking upon what he could create to make an interesting design that most represented himself at the time. It didn't take him long to settle upon an animal-shaped figure that he haphazardly started to craft at the time, constantly pricking his finger with the tip of the needle as he tried his best to sew up the bag.
There weren't many marine aquatic creatures that he could think of at the time being, but one, he had noticed not too long ago from a girl who had come down in an onesie in the great hall in the form of a shark. That little thought caused a twist of a smile to curl upon his face as he looked down at the materials he'd be having to use to craft the bag that was in front of him. Slowly, he'd work upon the desired design that was within his mind and pay no more attention to his surroundings furthermore. It was a time he could just focus upon his fingers and the object that was placed in front of him, calming that constant rotation of thoughts that spiraled through his thoughts at any given moment. The tranquility that he produced through his actions would actually surprise him if he could have taken a moment to recognize his mindset at the time, but, he could only focus upon the task at hand.
The bag would be constructed first, it wasn't the shape his mind wanted to produce, Zykeal was no artist that was for sure. The shape looked more like a little fish of some sort compared to what his idea was. With the first side being created before he looked up and searched for a house-elf to call upon for a moment, "Green?" he questioned, there was a little chirp of acknowledgment before he suddenly had a set of crushed tea leaves in front of him. This would do. Thereafter, he'd construct the rest of the bag which would eventually become a lopsided shark as he tried to correct his original design of the bag he wanted to create. Honestly, it looked, deformed. This didn't bother him though, he was proud of his little creation and couldn't help but offering a small laugh as he had packed the bag with the herbs provided by the elves that afternoon.
The kettle was already hot when he looked up, apparently taken care of by the elves that seemed to oversee the activity. This made his job easy and he knew the basics from his mother at home requesting him to put a kettle of tea on for her. Zyk would think of his mother for a little while as he properly followed the steps that she once showed him how to properly brew a teabag. Letting the tea steep for a time as he poured the hot water into the teacup provided to him by the organizers of this little outing. Surprisingly, he watched the little deformed shark/fish grow to live as he poured the steaming water across the filtered bag, watching as it swam around the small cup and came to life in front of his golden flecked irises. The young boy didn't often become emotional at any time, but, he thought of his mother for a little and had to raise a hand to cross slap his cheek for a moment to settle his feelings back into non-being.
Methodically he'd toy with the string of the teabag, his mother had always told him to let the tea settle, but he was impatient as always with the task at hand and he fiddled with the string as he let those golden hues shift up to watch as the others departed their tabes. A constantly shifting gaze drew his attention from his tea to the others in the group that was departing; Dee, Lizz and some others that he didn't recognize were leaving for the evening and he was a little self-absorbed when he thought about his failure to form true relationships within the first year of his schooling at Hogwarts. Zyk would have to lie to this mother, to tell her he had a grand time and made so many friends that it was hard to keep track of their names. This was just not true.
Regardless, time passed enough to where he thought the tea might be settled enough for him to at least take a sip from the steaming cup. Raising the shark/fish swimming bagged teacup to his lips, he felt the burn almost immediately when it settled upon the tip of his tongue and he nearly spewed the liquid from his mouth. The intolerant heat would be bared though, trying not to make so much of a fool of himself per usual, and resisting the urge to spew his beverage that was between his lips.

═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═Lizzie quickly stormed back into the courtyard a while later after she had left. It wasn’t because she wanted to go back. No she defiantly did not want to go and make or see another animal tea bag. Her monkey was enough for her and seeing more animals that probably behaved with their creator made her a bit jealous of how her monkey and herself could not have that relationship.
The only reason she had gone back was to actually collect her monkey who she had sadly left. It was still sitting in the water which had recently gone very cold. She went over to her table and picked up the tea cup looking at the Monkey. "Why are you still bathing in a cold tea cup?" She asked titling her head towards the monkey. It slightly shrugged and went back to splashing around a bit.
Thankfully, it had not fallen onto Lizzie that time keeping herself very dry. She bit her bottom lip and scrunched her eyes up mumbling to herself, "Your lucky that I don't want to kill you." She sat down at the table quickly and took the monkey out of the water. It was struggling and fighting angry she had taken him out.
"Oh, stop it you big baby." She poured the cold water onto the floor looking around hoping no one saw her. She then grabbed the hot water again and put some in her tea cup. She grinned towards the Monkey and placed it again in the water. It seemed to sigh again and swim around a bit resuming it's bathing time.
Lizzie looked up and picked up her tea cup. She would have taken it back to her Common Room if she hadn't noticed someone she had recently gotten very close to. She grinned and walked over with a skip in her step making sure not to spill anything boiling over herself yet again.
He looked quite lonely and that was not an option for Lizzie. She would not let her Boyfriend sit all alone when they could be conversing. It would very in moral of her. "Zyk!" She said waving to him with her free hand. She walked the rest of the distance and sat down across from him.
She placed the tea cup on the table and turned to look at the boy, "Why are you all alone? Do you want some company?" She asked then leaning forward and resting her hand under her chin. She blinked slowly at him hoping for a response and not just a silent treatment.
She slightly smiled at him and shook her legs under the table. He was a very nice boy from what she had learned. It was only unfortunate that they were using each other for their own gain. It would have been a lot better and more fun if it was just a real relationship and not fake. "I hope you don't mind if I stay."═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═

Having been in his own mind for who knows how long to this point, he hadn't even noticed when Lizzie had called his name and approached him. Zykeal sat there with his hand on a now cold cup of tea that was barely sipped from, his mind still playing through the thoughts like a chaotic symphony. It wasn't until the girl had stopped and sat down in front of him and asked him a question, which he didn't at first register, for him to notice that he was no longer alone with his thoughts. The hand that grasped his teacup relinquished its grip upon the ceramic object, letting it shift up across his face to make sure that he showed no emotion upon his face for the moment.
Letting his hand fall then, he shifted his golden irises across the table from him and let his face curl into a small smile when he recognized the figure before him, "Hey you," he said, a playful tone being given to show his approval of her being there. Their relationship up to this point hadn't been as productive as he had hoped for, for either of them, but, for whatever reason, Zykeal didn't seem to mind the delay in their objectives. Although this was an exchange of needs from each other, he did in fact enjoy her presence and seemed very comfortable around her. In this regard, he'd let his elbow rest on the table and let his chin be placed within an open palm as he stared over towards the girl, "Why would I mind if my girlfriend joined me?" he asked, still holding that playful tone, "You look, really beautiful," he added.
The tilt of his head within his palm to allow his cheek to be rested on his hand was made, he objectively observed her appearance for a moment and wondered when she had finished up with her little gathering of girls that she was with, "How'd your little tea party go?" he asked, curious if she was getting along with the others in that group she had, "Dee is a handful, isn't she?" he continued on. She never made him nervous, he didn't know if that was good or bad. She was absolutely beautiful, but, he felt so comfortable around her that he never knew his true feelings for the girl who sat before him. Keeping his eye contact with her, he'd shift his free hand that was underneath the table to reach for his wand. This was done with ease, to show no hint of issues to be had, he just needed to have his tick fulfilled. Of course, after he fetched it, he'd let the wand hand stay under the table as he let the aspen wood wand twist slowly through his fingers, twirling it as usual.

A shark? A fish? Tea.
interacting with @Zykeal Lane
═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═Zyk hadn't seemed to process that the girl had joined him. She tapped her free fingers on the table waiting for him to reply to her. He had his hands on a tea cup that held a shark in it. She lifted her head a bit to have a look at the animal he had made. She smiled and went back to her original position. Maybe it was because he was defiantly ignoring her or the more sensible idea was that Zykeal had just been in his own little world meaning everything around him had drowned out in the background.
He then picked up his hand to his face and Lizzie giggled a bit. As he smiled, her smile widened. His smile defiantly was one of the best things about him. He greeted her and rested on the table like her. "I don't know." She replied to his question, "Couples like to have alone time sometimes but I mean we aren't really a couple though. Are we?" She looked down a bit and her smile faltered but did not completely disappear. She shook her head slightly and placed emotion on her face looking back up. "You don't look to shabby yourself." She added color to her cheeks and tapped her fingers on the table a bit more.
She looked back to her old table after his inquiry, "It was alright. I just made a monkey." She turned around to face her Monkey who was still slightly swimming in her new tea. "It's the first time I met Dee. She seemed fine to me." She chuckled a bit at the rhyme she had just made but made sure to tone it down. Lots of people rhymed words together all the time. "How do you know her?" Lizzie raised an eyebrow and slightly smirked, "Some sort of frenemy relationship?" She shrugged her shoulders a bit and brought her hands to her tea which had slightly cooled down.
Bringing it to her lips, she let her eyes land on the boy once again. She looked at her own clothes and then Zyk's. They had such different taste in outfits and fashion. Lizzie did like dressing Zyk's way sometimes but she was mostly found in her casual smart outfits due to growing up with a family of traditional dressing. It was how her parents had forced her into small tight dresses that just struck her mind knowing she would never be able to get out of the cycle of wearing smart clothing. She eventually had grown on it but had also slightly changed her parents views on smart casual looks. Lizzie lowered the tea cup and set it down making the Monkey jump out of the tea cup. She laughed and quickly plopped him back into the hot water.
"Are you going to drink that tea?" She said pointing towards the cold cup. She pushed some hair out of her face and shook her head. "I'm not sure it's good to waste water like that." She chuckled a bit. She grabbed a hair bobble she found in a stray pocket and pushed her hair up into a pony tail. "I hate having long hair." She huffed and crossed her arms playfully.

A shark? A fish? Tea.

The answer she gave wasn't one that he was necessarily happy to hear, it kind of stung, but it shouldn't have as it was the truth of the situation. That made a mix of emotions run through that thick skull of his, wondering if they should keep up this 'act' or just end up dropping it before either of them got hurt. After a moment of hesitating to answer her, he'd hear her next comment on his appearance and couldn't help but giving in to a little laugh to her words, "Well thanks, I think," as he tried his best to sideline the previous question that she asked.
Thankfully, she didn't persist in her question and moved on when he asked her about her experience with Dee and the tea party that they had. When she asked how he knew her, he'd simply answer, "Ah, tried to get her to help me with some homework in Astronomy," he paused, remembering the incident, "it didn't go to well," he concluded, remembering the meeting that he and Dee had previously. The frenemy comment made him look back up to her and offer a sort of shrug, "She seems alright, frenemies might be accurate," he'd say, another shrug being produced from those rigid shoulders.
Zyk would watch her as she appraised him, he didn't feel nervous at all when she did so, being so comfortable around her was easy for him. They were complete opposites in most ways, this didn't bother him either, it felt like it meshed well with their personalities and at least complemented each other in their act. When the monkey nearly sprang from her cup, he laughed once more and watched her poke it back down into her tea, "Magic, crazy isn't it?" he remarked, looking down at his cold tea as she inquired if he would actually drink his.
Looking down at his own cup, he appraised his work on the shark and tilted his head to the side as he observed the little misshaped creature twirling around his tea. After a moment of doing this, he looked up as she adjusted her hair and commented on it, "I love your long hair, it's really pretty," he said, a little annoyed at himself as he might have needed to keep the compliments down, "it'll look nice for when you make your move on Rafa," he said, a little air of hesitance in his voice, "he'd be crazy not to take notice of you," and he left it at that, deciding to fill his mouth with a sip of the tea before he said anything more to cause them to doubt their plan.
Raising his hand that held his wand then, he'd let it settle upon the table in front of them and he'd just stare down at the ivory-colored wand as he sat the cup back down on the table, not sure what to say at this point. It took him just a moment more to pick the conversation up, figuring he'd try and turn the conversation a bit lighter in the air at that moment, "What're your plans for the summer? Going to the match? I think I'll go, it'll be fun," he said, then added, "even though I hate quidditch, such a boring sport," he smirked, "skateboarding is legit, almost magical the things you can do with a board," he moved two of his fingers to settle them on the table, mimicking what they'd do to produce an ollie as if the board was underneath the tips of his fingers.

A shark? A fish? Tea.
interacting with @Zykeal Lane
═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═She knew that saying they weren't a real couple hurt both of them equally. She looked down at her hands and sighed. They should not be hurting that much since it was only fake. It would probably end by the time Summer was over. She looked back up to Zyk and laughed a bit, "It's true. I like your hat." She said pointing to the thing she had seen on his head. It nicely complimented his hair.
Lizzie perked up at the mention of one of her favorite subjects, "Astronomy? I love those lessons." She grinned, "I could help you!" She had made sure to take in nearly every piece of information that their professor [Kateri Karr] taught them. She loved learning about planets and things in the unknown. It was just very fascinating . "Maybe you could become friends in the future." She said nodding her head hopping it would make Zyk a little happier.
"We live in a world of magic." She laughed and shook her head slightly, "Nothing is really a surprise to me anymore. Especially, this little monster." She looked down at her monkey who was no splashing around in half a cup of tea. She grinned and patted his head slightly. Lizzie had decided it would not be good to hold grudges against an animal tea bag, "He may be annoying, but he is my creation and I love him." She crossed her arms and nodded smiling proudly at Zyk.
Her persona quickly changed when the compliments were given to her, "Ah, thank you." She said rubbing one of her arms. She continued to look at Zyk while sighing a bit. She was sure that making a move on Rafael would be a bad and good idea at the same time. It would be a big risk that probably wouldn't even work. She let out a small nervous laugh and picked up her tea cup again and slowly took another sip.
Zyk then placed his wand on the table and started to stare at it. Lizzie lowered her eyes and looked off to the side. It seemed everyone carried their wands everywhere with them. She had yet to make the habit of even taking it to classes let alone take it to the bathroom with her. Being a forgetful girl was not good in a world where people where attacking young children.
She quickly placed the tea cup down letting the Monkey continue it's bath. She wiped her hands on her skirt trying to get rid of the few drops of Tea that may have spilled on her and looked up towards the boy who had asked a dew questions, "I am defiantly going to the match." She nodded, "I quite like Quidditch. I tried out and I'm on a waiting list at the moment. It's fair enough if you don't think it's good." She did not want their views on sports to come between their friendship and added, "Maybe you could show me how to do this 'skateboarding' sport then. Is it good?" She asked widening her eyes and smiling. She loved listening to people talk about their hobbies and stuff like that. "I mean obviously it's good if you call it a legit sport. What I meant was do you think I will be able to do it?" She tilted her head while waiting for some answers to her questions.═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═
