Ok, ok, ok.

Denise was freaking out. A jaguar. A freaking jaguar. Denise was freaking out; she saw bears, maybe, and other wild animals. Well, she is a girl of the mountains of the southern Scottish hills, but A JAGUAR. She stood still, holding a deep breath, praying that it wouldn't notice her. She avoided eye contact- well, dumb idea- and in the corner of her eye saw its gleaming eyes.

It lunged. At the same time, she saw Ophelia Vanderbilt and some other boy she didn't know, and she ran, deep in the woods, utterly terrified. The Jaguar must have also came after the boy for the boy followed Denise as both of them dashed to Zone 3. She definitely knew the boy was running with her because of the hideous wails he made like a screaming dramatician. forgive me @Dido Bleaklane

She wanted to kick the boy in the balls and have him shut up in fear that the jaguar might hear and follow them. Fortunately, it didn't, and Denise sighed in relief.

Oh dear, she was in a different zone for the first time. She saw Denisse De Vera, Fawkes Chaos, some girl she didn't know, another boy she didn't know, and Tina Carille. Well, at least she knew where half her team is, and she really hoped the other half of her team got that damn flag.

The bright blue colors and pastel pink flowers of Zone 3 did not nearly conceal the sharp, spiking intensity the clearing had suddenly been imbued with, as Denisse had stood her ground, keeping her wand aimed, her eyes on Ophelia Vanderbilt. The complex motion for the knockback spell came to the fingertips, and Denisse prepared to knock the Spider Monkey backward before she managed to cause any damage of her own. She had no hard feelings towards the Gryffindor, but Denisse is naturally competitive, so she had to even if she didn't want to.

"Flipendo!" Denisse said, and it wasn't so much the spell itself as the blast of magical energy which flew forth.

And at the very worst moment possible: as it escaped her lips Ophelia simply ducked beneath the dense brush to dive into Zone 4 and launch a rush from the cover toward themselves. The spell met only nothing as it missed completely before being swallowed by the foliage. Denisse’s tongue clucked her lips in annoyance; lowering her wand, her opponent disappeared into the foliage, racing to their home base.

And luckily Fawkes Chaos wasn't nearly so inept. Still dusted off from her last fight, she had aimed her wand straight skyward and bellowed Metelojinx. A dark, ominous rain cloud instantly formed above Zone 3 directly over the remaining Spider Monkeys. An audible boom sounded from up above them as stray lightning bolts began striking down upon the opponents.

Before Denisse could reach Fawkes and Danielle, the sound of crashes and snapping plants reached from the pathway coming from Zone 4; Denise Yarbrough and some melodramatic boy, clearly terrified and fresh from a recent scuffle with another claw-marking Spider Monkey which ambushed them to push them back out of their home base toward Zone 3. Denisse’s eyes were wide with surprise as she came forward, ready to step out of Denise's path so she could recover. "You okay?" she asked.

It had become absolutely chaos; in the wake of the impending thunderhead overhead, retreating teammates forced back from jaguar ambushes and spread-out Spider Monkeys, battle was truly in full swing. And this Denisse definitely didn’t planned on losing.

I was wrong, it wasn't over yet. A series of unfortunate events had constantly been chasing me. I was glad those monkeys somehow left but now the excruciating heat was back. The odds were clearly not in my favour. A sense of deja vu hit me. It didn't take much long for me to feel exhausted and lightheaded. Perhaps that was the reason why I went astray and somehow found myself back in the most hydrated zone of the jungle. This is what I get for being optimistic! Did that stop me from being optimistic, no, no it did not.Well atleast there's water to cool off, I thought. Getting lost and ending up somewhere else was the last thing on my list.

Clearly, my search for the enemy's flag was unsuccessful. I was mad at myself, and wanted to do something for I wanted to win desperately. I spotted one of my teammates— Florence, who seemed pretty much indulged in his thoughts. Before I could say anything, a sudden shriek filled the air. I said to Florence, "Well, looks like someone ran into something unfortunate." Hopefully, it wouldn't be us next. I was so done with these obstacles. I needed to up my game.
