The game is in full swing! Philip had to take a step back to keep himself out of everything. While it should be common knowledge that one should not attack their moderator, the soon-to-be-first-year was still a bit afraid of the burning chips and shards. No, he would not be willing to sacrifice his pretty face for the sake of a finer observation, thank you very much. And the sight from a step yonder was even better! It was truly a feast for the eyes to see the heated spell exchange.

Luuk seemed a bit sad and lonely (or maybe he was actually enjoying the darkness?) with his double blindfolds on, and the Mahoutokoro team wasn't going to let the opportunity slip away. Both Akane and Akari raised their wands and aimed at the poor blindfolded Castelobruxo Duellist, and both opted for the simplest, if not the fiercest, of all spells. Two beautifully cast Knockback Jinxes landed a heavy blow on Luuk, who had nowhere to escape to having completely lost his sight. Philip winced as he watched the spells smash into him. While the Mahoutokoro team had done a great job, that must hurt a lot. "Two solid hits -" Merlin, Luuk didn't look so well; was he going to faint? "Applaud for Mahoutokoro, please!"

Verona, though, was not going to let the Mahoutokoro get away with this. Again opting for a Knockback Jinx - Philip noted to himself that this was probably a very nice option in duels - and again picking Akari as his target, Verona was just in time to send a spell in the younger boy's way, and this time Akari wasn't as lucky. It was a clean hit, showcasing the seventh year's skill. Beside him, Luuk eventually got rid of those annoying blindfolds, and could rejoin his teammate and perhaps take revenge. "Please, also pay your respects to Castelobruxo!"

Up till now, the two older Duellists remained unscathed, while the younger ones were clearly not having an extraordinary time. Philip chewed his bottom lip, wondering how this would play out.

Round four it was when things got imteresting. On the last round where Luuk got double Obscuroed, the Seventh year got a little bit worried for his younger counterpart. The show must go on despited the difficulty Luuk was facing. The Mahoutokoro team, using this opportunity to double whammy the fourth year with a Knockback Jinx.

“You okay there?” The Brazilian boy asked when those double Flipendo hit Luuk without any mercy. The senior himself retaliate with his own brand of Knockback JInx to the youngest Mahoutokoro student on the other side of the piste, and this time it hit its indeded mark. And when Luul successfully removed the black fabric from his eyes, Ronnie shuffle a bit closer to him.

“Hang in there, mate” He said. His blue-grey eyes flew to the other side of the platform. “Here’s what we are going to do, okay?” He lower his voice to speak the next strategy to the younger one. And when he did, he switch his Duelling stance from Southpaw left-handed to Orthodox righ-handed now.

After the occasion of Akane's wand leaping out of her hand, the sixth year would need a reason to forgive it, despite the fact that it was she who had failed to duck out of the way in time. Thankfully, the blue flash that struck the younger Castelobruxo student was reason enough. Momentarily, the space between the two schools lit up with three of the same spell. If adults taught such a spell within a student's first year of magical schooling, then it must be reasonable to conclude that destruction was naturally easy and simple, explaining why the Knockback Jinx was such a popular choice. If not, then at least the crisscrossing streaks of power were beautiful.

Akane turned to nod briefly at Akari, whom had produced a good-looking spell, which she thought that he might be feeling proud about. On the contrary, being target practice for the older Castelobruxo guy must not have felt too great.

XXXHe and Akane fired matching Knockback Jinxes at Luuk, both of which struck true and firm. It wasn't the greatest feeling to double down on a blindfolded opponent, but that was what the blindfold was for, wasn't it? Akari was surprised the fourth year was still standing. He didn't look so great.

XXXLikewise, Akari also found himself struck by a Knockback Jinx from Verona. It hurt, but at least the duel was ramping up in intensity. He pulled himself together, watching as the seventh year swapped wand hands. He raised his eyebrows, surprised. Verona was ambidextrous? That was interesting. But what did that mean? What had changed? Akari brushed his hair out of his eyes with a sigh.

XXXAkane gave him a nod of acknowledgement, which he returned with a grateful smile. They were doing surprisingly well.

Wallowing within the darkness would have been rather enjoyable, were it not for the blindfold(s) clearly rendering him akin to a training dummy. As much as Luuk tried to keep moving, the lack of sight was inevitably impeding. What came was what he expected — two Knockback Jinxes collided into him, the immense magical force pushing him backward and onto the ground. Ultimately deciding that he had had enough, for he was at the end of his tether, the blindfolds were ripped off with a frustration that did not normally manifest.

"You okay there?"

Glancing up, he was surprised to discover the care that the older boy was showing to him; Luuk appreciated it, though whether that care could be attributed to genuine kindness or strategical thinking remained unknown. "I'm okay," he managed to croak, ignoring the searing pain across his abdomen — for he always had to be okay. What use was he if he was not? He thus attempted to listen when Verona spewed tactical brilliance into his ears, but not much of it was received. Colours seemed to blend before him, his head throbbing, and there was an urge to lie on the ground and close his eyes.
