New Friends
Laura made her way to the barrier between platform 9 and 10 she was so excited she was gripping her trolley tightly as she walked through the barrier. She came out at the other side where it looked exactly the same except for the the red train that said Hogwarts Express. Her mother was still bombarding Laura with questions about if she'd packed everything and so on. Then she was lecturing her about not getting in trouble at Hogwarts and to study hard so that she got good marks. And she kept brushing her hair out of her face ( even if there was none) and she kept to Lauras annoyment fixing her collar. When the train let out steam her mother fixed her collar for the last time ( even though it was already perfect) and said Goodbye to Laura. Laura said goodbye to her dad and got on the train. She was looking for a compartment when Jessica and Nicole came into her head she was worried they had not got on to the train. She continued looking and found an empty compartment. She hung out the window and waved goodbye for the last time to her parents. She sat down and waited for her friends she was really excited for Hogwarts.

New Friends
Jessica stood at King’s Cross Station, clutching the handle of her trolley so tightly that her fingers had begun to hurt. Her heart was beating faster than usual. She had never seen so many people rushing around with luggage, and yet, among all the ordinary travellers, she felt strangely out of place.
She looked down at the piece of parchment in her hand.
Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
She frowned.
“What kind of platform is that?” she wondered.
Being Muggle-born, Jessica had spent most of her life knowing nothing about the wizarding world. Even after receiving her Hogwarts letter, everything still felt like a dream. She had read the instructions again and again, but somehow the idea of a hidden platform between Platforms Nine and Ten seemed impossible.
She walked towards Platforms Nine and Ten, looking around nervously. There was no sign saying Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. No secret door. Nothing.
“Maybe I misunderstood,” she whispered.
Just then, she noticed a family nearby. They were talking excitedly about Hogwarts, and their trolley was piled high with luggage. Jessica watched them curiously as they approached the barrier between Platforms Nine and Ten.
Her eyes widened.
One after another, they disappeared straight through it.
Jessica froze.
“What…?”
She stared at the barrier, her mouth slightly open. A hundred thoughts raced through her mind. Was that really it? Could she actually do that? What if she ran into the wall? What if everyone saw her fall?
Her stomach twisted with nervousness.
Taking a deep breath, Jessica gripped her trolley and pushed forward.
For one terrifying second, she closed her eyes.
Then—
Whoosh!
She emerged on the other side.
Jessica's eyes flew open.
Her nervousness vanished almost instantly, replaced by pure amazement.
There it was.
Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
The platform was crowded with witches and wizards, owls hooting from cages, trunks rolling across the floor and families saying hurried goodbyes. Everything seemed brighter, stranger and more wonderful than anything Jessica had ever imagined.
And then she saw it.
A magnificent scarlet steam engine stood waiting at the platform.
The words Hogwarts Express gleamed proudly against its side.
Jessica simply stared.
Her heart seemed to skip a beat.
“So that's it,” she whispered.
A nervous flutter returned to her stomach.
What if she didn't fit in? What if everyone already knew magic and she didn't? What if she couldn't do any spells properly?
But beneath all those worries was something much stronger—excitement.
Jessica smiled.
She climbed aboard the Hogwarts Express, her eyes shining with excitement.
As she found a compartment and settled inside, Jessica looked out of the window at the busy platform.
She took a deep breath.
Her old life was behind her.
Ahead of her was magic, friendship, adventure—and Hogwarts.
For the first time, Jessica felt that perhaps being different wasn't something to be afraid of.
Perhaps it was the beginning of something extraordinary.
She looked around the compartments, trying to find Laura. She went towards an empty compartment and found her waving outside the window.
"Hey Laura! How have you been?" asked Jessica, filled with excitement.

Laura finnaly saw Jessica climbing into the train she waved to her. Then the door of the compartetment opened and Jessica came in. How have you been? asked Jess. I have been good but what took you so long? answered Laura. When the train finally started moving Laura and Jessica setteled down into 2 seats. They were not expecting any one. The troly lady came and asked if they wanted any sweets she had pepermint frogs bertie botts every flavor beans choclate frogs and alot more other things. Laura bought some choclate frogs and a pack of bertie botts every flavor beans. Laura loved sweet stuff. She was really excited for hogwarts. Hey Jess what are you most excited for at hogwarts anything. Im most excited for potions and maybe sneaking out at night. It would be so nice if we are both in the same house. Do you know anything about the four founders of the school Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffinder, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin. But only if youve read Hogwarts a History. I can tell you some things about them. Like Godric wanted only the brave ones in his house Rowena only the smart ones and Salazar only the purebloods but Helga wanted everyone she did not care.

Jessica listened carefully to Laura, her eyes widening as she explained the four founders. “Wow, you really know a lot about Hogwarts!” she said, smiling. “I’ve heard their names before, but I never really knew much about them. I guess there’s still so much about the wizarding world that I have no idea about.”
Jessica looked around the compartment with curiosity. “I really wish I had read Hogwarts: A History before coming here. It would have been so useful! Maybe you can tell me more about the founders while we’re travelling. I’d love to hear all the interesting stories.”
She also brought the Bertie Borg's Every Flavour Beans up and examined it suspiciously before laughing. “Although I think I’m more interested in finding out what flavour this is before I eat it. I’ve heard these can taste absolutely horrible!”
“Potions sounds interesting too. I wonder what our first lesson will be like. Do you think we’ll get to make something straight away, or will we have to learn lots of theory first?”
Jessica became thoughtful for a moment before continuing. “I also want to explore the castle. There must be so many places to discover. I’ve heard Hogwarts has moving staircases, portraits that can talk and secret passages. Imagine accidentally finding one!”
She gave Laura a playful smile. “But if we do sneak around at night, we should probably be careful. I don’t want our first adventure to end with us getting into trouble before we’ve even had our first proper lesson!”
Jessica leaned back comfortably in her seat.
“I’m honestly just excited to see what happens. New classes, new people, magic everywhere… It’s all so different from anything I’ve ever known.”
She smiled at Laura. “What about you? Apart from Potions and sneaking around, what are you most looking forward to at Hogwarts?”

New Friends
Laura laughed a little about finding a passage. Because Laura knew most of the secret passages. Sure I will tell you more about the founders. And I am also looking forward to just learning magic in general. Jeah and they do have portraits that talk. Did you know that the Gryffindor common room actually has a portrait as it's well kinda door you know? And the slytherin common room is a wall that only opens to slytherin or if you know the password. In the ravenclaw tower you need to solve a riddle to get in I heard from my sister that it is a very nice common room. And the Hufflepuff common room is near the kitchen. I am also excited for the food the food is apparently super good you know. The great hall is also pretty said my brother. So the roof always have the color of the sky and there are endless candles that burn forever and they float around. There are 4 tables for the houses. And there is the table for the professor's where they sit. Then there are the house points there are four different hour glasses each with colored stones in them. I think know Gryffindor has ruby's. Slytherin has emeralds. Hufflepuff has for some reason they have yellow diamonds. But Ravenclaw has sapphires.

“The Great Hall sounds incredible,” she said. “I really want to see the enchanted ceiling and all those floating candles. It must be beautiful when the whole school is gathered there.”
She paused for a moment, thinking about everything Laura had told her. “There are so many things about Hogwarts that I never even knew existed. Talking portraits, moving staircases, secret passages… I wonder what else we’ll discover once we get there.”
Jessica smiled when Laura mentioned the secret passages. “You seem to know quite a lot about Hogwarts already. I’m glad I’m travelling with someone who can tell me all these things.”
She looked out of the window as the countryside passed by, feeling her excitement grow with every minute.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the castle for myself,” she said. “And I want to experience everything properly—the lessons, the Great Hall, the library, and of course, meeting everyone.”
She turned back towards Laura with a smile. “I think this is going to be an amazing first year.”
