____During the closing year back on June, after a little talk here and there with Professor Weems, Millie made up his resolve to get used to flying, or at the very least while riding a broom. Beside being aware that she was still nervous and flustered once she sat on the top of the broom on the practical class—which she obliviously thought that part is so much essential in the lesson itself—she won't let this unreasonable fear haunting her endlessly.
____And here she is now, standing tall in the flying class' field with a school broom in hand, right after the last class for today had finished. She have no time to put her books and cloak up to her common room so she just put them off on the ground not to far from where she took a place for today's little practice. Just a good coincident she wore a trousers rather than her skirt since she felt that this month had slowly getting colder than before. Before she mount up, she looked down on her shoelaces once again.
____"Alright," she huffed, her grip tighten instinctively. And now for the starter. "Up."
____The broom flew up slowly but steady as usual. Have no problem as for now. However, once the girl and her broom has been around a metre from the ground, no more footing for her feet, she started to feels unsteady as the broom moved to the right and left uncontrollably despite she only gripped the handle to death without any movement whatsoever.
____"Ouch!" At last, Millie fell. Fortunately for her, it was a grassy ground that caught her body rather than rocky or worse asphalt. The girl rubbed her elbows and knees as she just stared at the helpless broom lying beside her. "Another fail, huh?"
____She slowly get up once she felt her knees had stopped its throb. She let out a long exhale, inwardly hoping that somebody would help her to pass this challenge.

I Believe I Can Fly PV. Strike Allen
Strike happened to be practicing flying on his own broom when he caught sight of a girl falling from hers and paused to make sure she was alright. She rubbed her elbows and knees while staring at the broom beside her, saying something to it, but he wasn't close enough to hear. Feeling sorry for her, the blond boy turned his broom around and descended with the practiced ease of a pureblood who had started learning to fly before he'd even mastered walking.

He was glad to see that by the time he touched down, the girl had already gotten back on her feet. She still seemed disheartened, though, if her long exhale was anything to go off of, so Strike decided to approach.

"Hello," he greeted, smiling a little shyly as he walked up to her while holding his broom at his side. "I noticed you trying to fly just now. Do you need some help?"

Strike was always happy to help in any way he could, though he felt a little timid about asking this girl if she wanted his help because, up close, he thought she appeared to be a bit older than him. He could have been wrong since a lot of girls his age were taller than him, it seemed, but if she really was older, she might not have wanted help from a younger student. Or anyone, for that matter.

"I'm Strike," the Hufflepuff said, holding out his hand. "Strike Allen. What's your name?"

____Turning her head towards the source of the sound, Millie saw a curly-hair boy approaching her with his broom. Looks like I'm not the one who took a little time of practice here, she thought, then somewhat caught of surprise when he offers some help. At that time, the girl feels so embarrassed that this boy had absolutely witnessing how she fell from the broom.
____"That's so kind of you, thanks," she said, trying hard not to looks or sounds too desperate while her grip on the handle's broom tighten a little without she realizing it. Although she remember she never seeing this boy's face ever before, in this case, it doesn't matter. The only thing matters is there's come someone who kindly enough offering his help to the problem she needed most.
____And when he extending his hand after he introduced himself as Strike, Millie quickly held her hand out, giving him the best smile she ever have, "Millie Ann, nice to meet you, Allen. And I hope you'll go easy on me."
____As she said that, strangely enough, her determination to fly has returned. Not sure if it's because of Strike or another reason from her own self, the girl has already took position with the broom between her legs. Intrigued, at the same time curious with how he will be any help of her with this subjects that will make her rivaling birds who took a flight as their daily routine.

"Nice to meet you too, Millie," the blond answered a little more cheerfully once he realized the girl was not going to ridicule him for being younger or take offense from his offer. "Don't worry. Flying is really easy once you get the hang of it! It's just a little tricky starting out."

He watched Millie mount the broom on her own, glad she already knew how to do that much. Deciding to assist by demonstrating what he told her as he did it, he mounted his own broom the same way she did.

"Okay, so first you want to look around and make sure you have enough space so you don't knock into anyone or fall on anyone," Strike advised, checking to make sure he had the necessary space to take off. "Next, you want to check your broom is ready to fly. Since you have a school broom, it should be fine, but you want to be confident with brooms you don't know because they can channel magic a little like wands can and they can reject you if you're too unsure."

Strike continued to monitor Millie to make sure she was okay. "Once you're ready to leave the ground, try to concentrate on making sure your broom knows that you want to go up. Concentrate too hard, though, and you might go too high too fast, so be gentle at first. Um...does that make sense?" He hesitated. "It's kind of like concentrating on using a magic spell. Like the Wand-Lighting Charm, Lumos! If you concentrate too little, your light will be dim, but if you concentrate too much, your wand will get too hot, so you have to concentrate just the right amount."

____Alright. So the key point here is concentrate. That word again. She heard the word over and over since she learnt her first magic lessons here. Professor A said to concentrate here. Professor Z also said to concentrate there. Well, okay! She got it very well she must focus her mind solely on the things she want to faced at the moment. Not too faint and not not bold either. Just in middle. Hft. Let's just try it.
____So she begin the first step Strike has told her. Millie moved slightly to the side from the boy, as she wanted keep a safe distance from him. Like, if she fell once again, he wouldn't took a damage for being too close to her. No. He was kind enough to mentoring her like this she won't make him think he'd doing a pointless thing.
____And now to the concentrate thing part. Maybe, just maybe, this is why the broom she mounted always acted off just after she successfully makes it up and flew for a quiet moment. Without her realizing it, the girl has a tendency to surges her intention and determination to the max. In her first Lumos' lesson, she could barely held herself because the Professor had given a prior warning it could cause an accident if it used too much concentration. Although now she can casted the basic Lumos without too much problem, she actually still didn't get it how to properly hold that concentration of hers. How? How to put it just right in middle?
____She makes the broom she mounted up once again. It did good. For now. She focusing herself while also checking the surrounding if she had flew too lower or too high from the ground, although it still cause her hands to grip the handle too tight when she realized the later. Once she thought she did pretty well job until this part, she glanced aside to the boy patiently watching her progress of practice.
____"Al—alright. I did it. What's next?" She asked with a somewhat cracked voice. She clear her throat, tightening her grip on the handle as she tried so hard to take a breath to calm herself. "I hope the next step is not the hardest thing to do?"
