Not even a full week into his time at Hogwarts, Kevin had already started to constantly find himself bored out of his mind. One could assume that an incredible castle full of magic and history would interest any young child, but how useful is magic if it can't even charge his headphones? There wasn't even a single electrical outlet he could plug an amplifier into to practice the guitar. That's outrageous!

It was hard to kill time, and he hadn't yet made any friends close enough to bother for the weekend. Kevin couldn't think of anything to do other than take a ride on his skateboard. He got dressed up, wearing a band t-shirt with a zip-up hoodie on top and black jeans that were ripped around the knees, accessorized with a studded belt. The spiked bracelets and messy eyeliner left over from yesterday tied his look together into a style that silently screamed "no one understands me".

Holding his skateboard under one arm, he made his way out of the castle. Though no matter how far he walked, he never seemed to find a proper surface for the skateboard's small wheels. The landscape of grass and trees with occasional cobblestone paths could certainly be described as beautiful by many, but for Kevin, it only made him think of how much mud and dirt he would have to clean from the axles and wheels of his board.

Determined to not let Hogwarts keep taking away the very muggle-styled pleasures of his life, Kevin put the skateboard down and stepped on it. No helmet, zero safety. He tried his best to ride on the driest parts of dirt and avoid the longer patches of grass, and for a while he was almost genuinely starting to enjoy himself.

Maybe he was getting carried away or distracted, but soon enough, he noticed a branch on the ground a little too late and had to swerve instantly to avoid it. Thanks to that sudden movement, he ended up causing a bigger accident and bumped right into someone, which made him lose his balance and tumble off the board.

He immediately let out a groan of annoyance and clumsily sat up on the spot where he fell. Who would even hang out here? Where did they come from, and so quietly at that? he wondered as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Ugh… H-Hey! Watch where you're going, you-..." he snapped in an angry tone with a grumpy frown on his face, though he managed to stop himself before any inappropriate words could slip out.

When he finally took a proper look at the face of the person he had carelessly crashed into, his expression visibly softened, giving away that he might regret raising his voice like that just a second ago. It was a girl around his age who looked almost like his exact opposite: so put-together, pretty, proper...
Still, he did not consider apologizing just yet.
"...you okay?" he asked in a quieter, kinder tone, looking away in an attempt to avoid eye contact and hide his embarrassment over the accident.

Barley a full week here. is what went through Minju's mind as she walked through the grounds it was quiet here , so much more quieter than the Slytherin common rooms or the great hall , she fiddled with her hair as she tried to not overthink everything going on the castle was big so much bigger than her parents estate which was a surprise to her.

She really didn't have anything to do this weekend and didn't feel like bothering anyone she knew since they were all in different houses which was kinda sad , her parents would hate her if they found out she was hanging around half-bloods or muggles but she really didn't care about statuses unless they were a certain muggle who pissed her off but that didn't matter right now , she was clearing her mind so she could be calm.

But since she was by herself today she threw on a white button up and a brown vest jacket because today wasn't the day for her usual out of school attire but whatever , she threw a black skirt with it and Knee high black boots . She looked fine , pretty to herself at least , she kept her shoulder length hair down with a white bow on the side .

Minju kept walking on the path thankfully her boots weren't heels so they didn't get caught on anything , she sighed softly to herself.

" geez..."

She mumbled to herself as a breeze hit her side it was cold , she slowed down her steps a bit -- big mistake because right after she slowed her steps , someone had bumped into her , she fell to the ground on side and groaned quietly than sat up and rubbed it slightly , she didn't speak at first as she heard a guy? Speak in annoyed tone.

Minju finally looked up at the person -- he looked around her age , but wore some style that she had never saw before or would even know those type of accessories existed , who wore spikes as jewelry ? is what flashed in her mind , pure confusion.

But as he spoke again she shook her head " yeah , i'm okay.." she said softly as she stood herself up , dusting off her skirt as she did

" I didn't see you coming , I would've moved if I did --"

Out of all the ways she could have reacted to being bumped into out of the blue, the girl didn't overreact and even sounded calmer than Kevin. It made him let out a little sigh of relief. It was completely in her right to yell at him for being clumsy, get mad, or even start an argument... She must be a genuinely cool person, he thought to himself.

He managed to get up from the ground shortly after her, completely unaware of how much dust and dirt had clung to his jeans from the fall. A dry leaf from the ground had stuck to his dark, messy hair, making him look even goofier than he already seemed without his knowledge.

In an attempt to avoid making the situation even more awkward than it already was, he let out a sheepish chuckle and spoke up. "I swear I'm not usually that bad at skateboarding, I just wasn't paying attention! It doesn't help that there's no smooth concrete anywhere around this place either..." He sounded much kinder and friendlier now compared to his initial grumpy reaction, though it took him a while to realize that he was completely babbling and going off on a tangent.

"Ah, sorry..." he mumbled, cutting himself off from stop talking too much. "Name's Kevin, by the way." A small, hesitant smile appeared on his face as he reached his hand out for a handshake. There was black nail polish on his fingers that was already starting to chip at the edges, making him look even more like a wild child for a first impression.
