First time.
Laura walked into the shop there were a few people. There was a girl who was fitting her robes. She looked like a first year. Just like Laura herself. Then there was a older boy. And there was the shop owner. Laura looked at her list. 3 normal black robes. 1 warm coat. And 1 pointed black hat. She walked to the robes and pulled some out. She fitted them and they all fit her quite well. She took them off again and looked for the coat she found it and put it on it fit well. But it was really hot. Then she put it in the packet and went to look for the pointed hat. The girl she saw at the beginning was fitting her coat now. Laura got a pointed hat off the shelf and tried it on. It fit really well Laura was so excited to go too Hogwarts and get sorted. She wanted to be in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. She tought red would look good on her or yellow. But green and blue no that would not fit to her. She went to the girl and said," Hi what's your name my name is Laura."

Jessica's POV:
Jessica still couldn't believe she was here…Actually here.
Standing in the middle of Diagon Alley, surrounded by witches and wizards as though this had always been normal.
For her, it wasn't normal.
She is a Muggle-born witch. Until recently, magic had been nothing more than something she had read about in books and watched in films. She had never imagined that one day she would be walking through a hidden magical street with a wand tucked safely away, preparing to buy everything she needed for Hogwarts.
Her heart wouldn't stop racing. She could feel my hands getting cold.
Every few steps, something new caught my attention. Floating objects. Strange creatures. Shop windows filled with things that moved on their own. Owls flying overhead. Cauldrons stacked impossibly high.
She wanted to remember everything.
Every sound.
Every smell.
Every little bit of magic.
Every experience…Then her eyes landed on the familiar sign.
Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.
Jessica's stomach fluttered.
"Hogwarts robes…My Hogwarts robes", the thought alone made her smile.
She pushed open the door and stepped inside.A tiny bell rang above her.
The shop was warm and cosy, completely different from the busy street outside. Shelves were covered with rolls of fabric, boxes of buttons and neatly folded robes. Several measuring tapes floated through the air, moving from one place to another as though they had minds of their own.
She saw many people, students maybe, around her age. She started trying out the robes one by one. They were so fine and pretty.
She saw a girl approaching me carrying a packet of robes and a pointed hat.
Jessica felt nervous...
The girl asked Jessica her name and told that she was Laura.
"Hi…My name is Jessica" replied Jessica with a mixed feelings of nervousness and happiness.
"Are you a muggle-born too" this was the first question Jessica asked. But instantly she regretted asking it. She thought that the girl may not feel good with this question. She immediately said "Sorry!…if you don't want to answer…"

Laura was a bit surprised about the question. She answered anyway," It's fine I'm a pureblood. You've got a nice name by the way should we go and get your stuff and then we can shop together and look at stuff together?"
Laura checked her Diagon alley shopping list once again this was probably the 10th time already. She had not gotten her books wand remberall and vials. There was a lot of things she still had to get in Diagon Alley but it was really hard because of all the different things smells and sounds. There were owls screaching rats squiking other animals making sounds like miauing barking tweeting and hissing of snakes. There were also sounds like laughter and chattering if you listened well you could hear wizards and witches muttering spells and charms underneath their breath. And then there were the smells. There were smells like animal poop food smells book smells ( even though you could mostly only smell them near Flourish and Blotts ) there were also smells like metal and wood in the air cause of the cauldrons and brooms. And then there were the sights so many different types of people and animals. There were wands getting waved and the books all looked so nice and then there was Weasleys Wizard Weases.

Jessica blinked for a moment, slightly surprised by Laura's answer. She had been preparing herself for an awkward reaction, but instead, Laura seemed completely fine with answering her question.
A small wave of relief flowed through her.
"Pureblood"
The word still felt strange to Jessica. She had only recently learned that witches and wizards could come from completely different magical families, and she was still trying to understand all the different terms.
She smiled softly at Laura's compliment about her name.
She told Laura "Your name is pretty too"
For some reason, that little comment made Jessica feel much less nervous.
The idea of shopping together sounded even better. She had been wandering around the shop trying to figure everything out by herself, and having someone her own age beside her suddenly made the whole experience feel much easier.
She glanced down at the Hogwarts shopping list she was holding, scanning through everything she still needed.
Robes. A hat. A coat. Books. And so many other things.
There was still so much to buy.
Jessica looked back at Laura with a growing smile.
"Yes, let's do it together, thank you!" Jessica really felt glad at this offer.
Maybe making friends here won't be as difficult as she thought.
"So, where do you live, Laura?" Jessica tried continue the conversation with a much normal question.
A small wave of relief flowed through her.

Laura saw the relief on Jessica's face. They made their way to get her clothes then they made their way to flourish and blotts. In the street she answered her question,"I live in Ireland Dublin and you?" She was really happy about having someone her own age and a first year with her. They walkedd past Weasleys Wizard Weases and Laura stopped and stared there were so many different things there like Oh no Poo and Invisibility Cloaks Maurders maps and a alot of other things they anyways had to get a remberall so why not go now they had time so they could also look at all the different things in Weasleys Wizard Weases that would be fun. So they went into Weasleys Wizard Weases they heard the laughing and Laura thought wow so much laughing. They looked at all the things like skiving snack boxes they looked at the Maurders maps and Laura said That would be very useful for sneaking around and not getting caught if you don't have an Invisibility Cloak you know. Laura was looking for the remberalls when something caught her eyes Wizard chess they had that at home and her brother loved to play maybe she could get him one for his Birthday.

“I live in South London,” Jessica replied.
As she walked through Diagon Alley, Jessica smiled and recalled the earlier proposal to shop together, which caused a small rush of happiness once more. It was odd how soon a complete stranger could end up seeming familiar.
A few minutes ago Jessica had been concerned about saying the wrong thing, but now she is walking through Diagon Alley with a new friend.
Ahead, a sign she knew well caught her eye—the Weasleys Wizard Weases
“Wow,” Jessica whispered, her eyes bursting with excitement. “What a lot of things!”
Her excitement immediately returned.
Jessica was amazed to see so many wizarding joke supplies and was nearly laughing with joy at the idea of having some magical joke supplies of her own. As she walked in she looked in amazement at the endless shelves packed full of different and magical things, some of them moving and some of them floating.
She went through the the aisles and looked at all the shelves with glittering eyes.
Jessica felt a warm sense of excitement as she looked around.
She wandered around the magical jokeshop, thinking to herself about what her first lesson at Hogwarts would be like.
This time, Jessica wasn't nervous.
She felt curious, happy, and was ready for the adventure that lay ahead.

Laura and Jessica came out of Weasleys Wizard Weases sadly Laura had not bought something except her dumb remberall that she had to buy. But Jess had also bought a fake Hogsmeade Permission slip. Laura did not need one she knew how nice it was at Hogsmeade but she could wait it was not like her parents would not sign the permission slip. They made their way to the Book shop named Flourish and Blotts. Laura loved reading and Quidditch so she would buy a book about Quidditch. She saw the sign that read Flourish and Blotts. Wow! exclaimed Laura. I love books you know, said Laura to Jess. Anyways what is your favourite subject? Mine are potions Dada or Charms but I heard transfiguration is also nice. The charms teacher is also very nice apparently. I heard this from my siblings they go to Hogwarts you know. Laura imagined herself in potions class bending over her textbook and looking at the ingredients with a bubbling cauldron and weird ingredients next to her. They walked through the shop Laura took books from the shelf and put some in her cauldron to carry and some she took just to look at. She looked especially for the book called Quidditch through the ages. When she found it she started reading she put it back and thought maybe next year. They paid for it and left.

Jessica smiled and said, “I like the Potions. I hope to turn out to be a good witch.” She spoke with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Although she had imagined this moment many times, it seemed almost unreal now that it was actually happening.
She imagined herself walking through the huge castle, looking up at its magnificent towers and exploring the moving staircases. She pictured herself discovering secret corridors, attending her first magical lesson and trying spells for the first time.
Above all, she imagined sitting beneath the enchanted ceiling of the Great Hall, surrounded by hundreds of candles, as the Hogwarts feast began. The thought made her heart beat faster.
“There are still so many things I don't know about Hogwarts,” Jessica continued. “What will my first day be like? Will I make friends easily? Will I be good at magic? And, most importantly, which house will I be sorted into?”
She adjusted the books in her arms and looked at Laura curiously.
“In which house do you want to get sorted?” asked Jessica.
Jessica waited eagerly for Laura's answer, wondering what her new friend would say. The thought of starting their Hogwarts journey together made her smile once again.

"I want to be in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor." But you can't choose the sorting hat chooses. Laura imagined herself sitting on the small wooden stool felling the old patched and dusty sorting hat put on her head and hearing the hat talk to itself. And then hearing the name of the house she would be in and then hearing cheering and clapping from the house table she would be in. Laura was very excited for Hogwarts and it's 142 moving staircases. It's talking portraits the comfy common rooms and all the different things she had also heard that hogwarts had so much food and good food. Laura hoped she would also be a good witch she could not wait for the library and the great hall the enchanted ceiling that represented the weather outside and all the candles flying around. And then there were the ghost one ghost for each house that would fly around the table of the house and around the common room you could also find them somewhere else but mostly near their own house hogwarts ghosts what people who had died at Hogwarts like the famous moaning Myrtle the ghost that lived in the toilet knows how she died but they know that she died in the toilet well in the bathroom.

“Oh yeah, that’s good—I’d like to be in Slytherin or Hufflepuff; Gryffindor is also a possibility for me. Let's find out what the Sorting Hat decides,” Jessica said, smiling a little excitedly.
For a moment she walked in silence, her mind occupied with thoughts regarding the Sorting Ceremony, when all of a sudden another thought came to her.
"Hey, Laura!" Jessica said as she turned to face her. "Will you still be my friend even if you end up in any of the other houses?"
The question arose from her heart. Although Jessica had only recently met Laura, she already seemed at ease in her company. The presence of someone she knew at Hogwarts made the huge castle appear a bit less scary.
Hogwarts was going to be a totally new environment for Jessica: there would be hundreds of students, unfamiliar teachers, strange corridors and a countless number of new experiences. Although everything was exciting it also seemed a bit overwhelming.
Before she had even gone into the castle, she didn't want to lose the friendship she had made.
Jessica hoped that they would stay friends regardless of which houses they were sorted into and that Laura would be Jessica's first witch friend whom she could talk to, laugh with and share her Hogwarts adventures with.
Jessica smiled warmly since she had taken her books a bit closer.
