Still having his cat Tiger clutched to his chest who was equally as drenched in paint as he was, he would drag @Jake Morris into the nearest classroom, leaving foot prints of yellow and red wherever his shoes met the ground as well as smears of color on the Hufflepuff's wrist and the handle of the classrooms door as he barged into it while laughter bubbled up from within him. He was clearly having a good time.

He would let go of Jake once they were in the safety of the classroom and sat Tiger down once he had pushed the door close leaving a bold hand print on the middle of the wooden door which made his eyes widen for a moment as he had not realized he would leave marks everywhere. But as quick as the surprise had dawned on him as quickly he would start laughing again and below layers of paint the tips of his hair lightened which was not being noticed due to thick layer of wet paint. He threw his arms into the air, causing droplets of color to fly around and splatter the surroundings such as the ceiling of the classroom and possibly Jake as well, since he was right next to Alan.

As soon as he dropped his hands he would grin at Jake "You got some color on your face," he mentioned to Jake before gesturing over his own face that was completely mixed into some uneven orange while the edges of his face showed the original yellow and red color that had previously been dumped over his head by none other than @Caradoc Browne. Jake however had perhaps a few splatters of color over him from when Alan had jumped around in the classroom and well, the hand print on his wrst where Alan had been dragging him along was there as well.

While Alan was busy chatting with Jake, Tiger began to explore this new room he had never been in and like the cat he was jumped onto a shelf holding one of the precious materials and books, leaving his paw prints all around the room as he explored it. Alan was barely able to recognize the charms classroom as it had been completely covered in glitter and the professor's desk looked as if the color pink had been vomited all over it. The whole room was so much more colorful and while Tiger was prowling around and exploring he would just get more color around.

Seeing some other kids being in the room as well, Alan would grin at @Crystal Jagger and @Mars T'ien who were the first two to be caught in his line of sight before he would focus back on Jake. "Here we will be safe from th-the head of houses!", he would explain to the younger badger while he was unaware of Tiger finally finding a nice spot to rest right on the @Artemis Vernatis's desk on some papers.

"When is glitter ever a bad idea?"
she said, although in honesty it was almost every time. "I say the world needs more sparkle. I'm in," and she smiled over to Mars for the idea. She draped the banner she had made over the front of the desk so it could be seen, not even wanting to attempt to hang it up high because she was one of the shortest students there at Hogwarts.

Alina crept over to the door and tried the knob but of course it was locked. ...Not that this would stop these girls just yet. She pushed against it, rammed her little body into it. Nothing. Would it really be so simple as to the exact spell they learned for unlocking doors? That seemed almost too simple because this was the Charms classroom afterall.

"Okay, I've got this," she said and pulled out her wand. Giving it a sort of backwards S movement, she gave the unlocking charm saying, "Alohomora!" There was a click and she looked over her shoulder to her two friends and shrugged a little. Easy peasy.

"Alright, people, make it shimmer and shine," she said and opened the door and held it for her friends to go into the office. She was glad she had those Charms/Wand movement study sessions with Rose Moon so she could get that on her first try.

Let your confidence shine, pretty girl. <3

Crystal's grin grew as she heard the click of the lock opening after Alina used alohomora on it. This, was probably the most detention inducing thing they have done before, but she was having too much fun with decorating the place she didn't care much. She ran over to the supplies they had and picked up a ton of glitter, few pieces of paper, tape, and glue. "Alright, people, make it shimmer and shine," Crystal heard Alina say and looked over to see her opening the door. She smiled and walked into the office. Now, crystal didn't want this to be unorganized chaos on her end. So she mostly set up some glitterbomb traps. A little bit of mischief would be fun, after all. Though once she finished with that, she went forward with actual decoration. Folding the paper into different shapes and coating them with glue and glitter.
She mostly went for hearts, and decided to coat them in glitter in the colors of different pride flags. The normal rainbow, a bi one, a pan one, even a trans and nonbinary heart were a part of her little collection. She also took one of her papers, and decided to fold something she folded a long time ago. A little origami dragon. The same one she made a while back. Though this time, she covered it in glitter. making a slight mess along the way, but using the glitter in a way to give it texture and shading. When she felt that it was thoroughly sparkly, she covered it in a layer of glue to make sure none of the glitter will rub off or fall off. Placing it carefuly once it had dried in an area the professor would see, as a nice little present to make up for them breaking into the place. Compared to the first time she made the dragon, it looked much cleaner. She had practiced it more, and it showed. She stuck the hearts onto the door with some tape. She smiled and turned towards the others "that's all I'm going to do," she told them. Satisfied with her work she walked out of the office and began cleaning up all the supplies that weren't being used.

Mars glanced at the door at the sound of footsteps. Was Professor Vernatis back already? They might have let out a sigh of relief as a black-haired witch entered the room instead. Mars watched as she carefully set up a couple of glitter butterflies. A moment later and she'd finished the room with similar paper flowers. Mars had to grin. It did complement the wall of glitter that was the Charms classroom pretty well.

The second she exited, another noise came from the hallway. Mars tensed, wand gripped lightly in their hand. But it was just another student, yet again. Mars blew out a breath and straightened up, pocketing their way. Oh, they knew this one. They'd seen him around before, always with a cat. The cat that was currently being cradled in his arms and seemed to be—soaking in paint? Actually, the wizard himself was also covered in the stuff. He dragged another boy behind him, one that Mars didn't recognize. Hmm.

They stared as he made his way into the classroom, paint dripping off of him and splattering in globs on the floor. It'd probably take a real powerful cleaning charm to get those off. Mars heard a smack and their head swung over to the source of it. A colorful handprint was firmly pressed against the wall. Well, if Vernatis wasn't going to kill them for the glitter, that might do the trick.

Mars looked at it, stalk-still for a moment. Then, they burst out laughing. Well, any decoration was still decoration. Running up to the wizard, they grinned as he let his cat down, murmuring something about being safe to the boy behind him. They waved, smiling at the two of them and scanning their messy forms.

"What the hell did you two do, dump paint buckets on each other?" they asked. Before they could get an answer though, they heard the click of a lock giving. Ah, it seemed Alina had unlocked the door.

The air suddenly vibrated in a sense of excitement. It was almost palpable, thick and unrelenting. Mars' eyes flashed. Ah, finally! They glanced from the open office door back to the two wizards.

"Okay, hold that thought real quick. Gotta go glitter bomb something," they cocked their head to the side at they stared at the two of them, a smile creeping over their features, "Actually..."

Mars crouched in a smooth motion, scooping up a handful of glitter in their right hand. As they sprung back up, they blew it all over the two boys. Mars laughed again, and then turned, running over to the office. They called back behind them,

"Sorry, I had to! It was just perfect. But wait a sec, I'll be right back."

It seemed the spirit of pride had infected them. They ran past Alina, grabbing their bottle of glitter. They turned to the side, grinning at the witch.

"Alina, I love you," they called, and then whisked into the office.

It seemed that Crystal had been them to the punch. But the classroom was still clear. Huh. Mars snickered a little. It was very—Hufflepuff of her to not destroy Vernatis' office. Shame Mars would have to fix that.

The wix took a step in. Suddenly, an explosion of glitter went off in the office. Mars yelped, ducking and shielding their eyes. When they let their hand fall, a rain of glitter came off the back of their palm. Oh. So she had done something. Mars grinned at the witch, popped the top off the glitter bottle with a nail, and dumped a fair amount into their hand.

It wasn't that hard to cover the place in the stuff; a quick breath at the room was covered in it. Crystal was carefully creating hearts on one side of the room. Mars figured the space deserved at least a little more effort. They nabbed a couple of the posters they had brought, among them one outlining the different sexualities, genders, and their meanings, and another with "LOVE IS LOVE" in big letters on a rainbow heart background. Carefully, they tacked them up on the walls.

With all the motion, it seemed that they were trailing glitter. That trap Crystal had set had certainly been effective. Mars could feel the stuff in their hair, see it in the folds of their clothing. They were covered in the stuff.

The wix glanced over to Crystal. She was far too clean for their liking. Sidling up to the witch, they peered at her work. Aww. The hearts really were adorable. She certainly knew her stuff. Crystal rose and strode out of the office, Mars trailing behind her with a mischievous look on their face.

As she began to tidy up some of the supplies, Mars crouched again. Seeing as the floor was covered in the stuff, it wasn't hard to grab a handful and let it trickle out of their fingers. Above Crystal's head.

Laughing, Mars ran. Well, they really had a death wish today. Oh well. They locked on to the last clean person in the room. Running past Alina, they blew the remainder of their handful at her, careful to avoid her eyes. Then, they circled back to the two other wizards covered in paint.

"Okay, I'm done!" they smiled, loud enough for the whole room to hear. They shook their head, a waterfall of glitter poruing onto their shoulders. Giving it a couple swipes, they finally gave up. This stuff wasn't going to come out for a long while.

They gave the two boys a lopsided grin.

"Hey, I'm Mars, they pointed to the one with the pet chat, "I've seen you around before. So—what's with the paint?" They looked at them again, chuckling a bit.

"And glitter now too, I guess."

Due to real-life occurrences happening within my family, I have had to delay my reply and I will still have to delay my reply in the current time. I will hopefully get a reply to you all soon.

Artemis Vernatis
Professor of Charms
Errand Glitter and be Gay Charms Ambush
Artemis had a large smile on his face as he flooed into his quarters that evening. His last week with his children and sister was one of the best and he was excited to see his son turning nine and looking none too worse for wear. This would also be the boy's first birthday without his mother but the child was just happy to be with his friends from school, having the most fun a nine-year-old could have. Unfortunately, his time to return to Hogwarts would come much too soon and he was kissing his sobbing son and infant daughter goodbye until he returned in August. The man sighed as he removed his robes and moved toward the door that connected to his office. He truly would just rather stay home with his own kids rather than dealing with other people's children for days on end...children who constantly put their lives in danger for the thrill of having a "bit of fun" or were just downright disrespectful...but he had a job to do.

A job that he instantly wanted to quit the minute he opened the door to his office.

Eyes wide, Artemis took in the damage and...brightly colored glitter that was strewn about his office; almost as if a blasted bomb went off in there!

"What...the...hell..." he whispered as he stepped further into his office, disbelief written all over his face. His office was a mess. A complete mess. Glitter was everywhere. Naturally, he would be able to spell it all away, but he wanted to know who in their right mind thought it would be wise to glitter bomb his entire office! Taking out his wand, because he planned to hex someone's child into oblivion, Artemis walked through his office to his classroom, only to stop dead in his tracks at the sight that greeted him.

More glitter...paint...students and...was that a rough drawing of him with long hair? Who the heck thought to draw that? Taking a closer look at it, Artemis concluded that the artist needed to work harder at their craft. But that was neither here nor there. Right now he was working on not blowing a gasket at the thought that his entire office and classroom were, in an exaggerated description, destroyed. Turning to the handful of students in the room, he narrowed his eyes and glared at each of them in turn. He recognized them all from the classes but his gaze lingered on a paint-covered @Alan Vanes with his pet cat, and the other students @Mars T'ien @Crystal Jagger and @Alina Rosier.

Artemis could not for the life of him understand how his nine-year-old was much more mature in behavior than his students who were so much older than he was. Taking a few deep breaths, Artemis looked at the older of the students and addressed Alan. "Mr. Vanes. What exactly is going on here? Why are you covered in paint and what the...hell did you kids do to my office and classroom? Whose idea was this?"

Artemis, in his frustration, would forget that it was Pride Month as he was away from the castle when it was discussed amongst the students and other teachers. But he was confident that whoever was the mastermind behind all of this was going to deal with Artemis Vernatis!
OOC: I apologize for how long it took me to reply to this. Real life came and hit me kind of hard and I haven't been feeling very well most days. I also apologize for the short reply. If any of you want to leave Alan to fend me off on his own, that would be okay and also hilarious, to be honest.

Chad was... running behind. He was extremely behind schedule, as it seemed that many of the professors were returning to their haunts, and he had many more places to be before the day was over. But he'd already gotten distracted by Breana in the corridors, Amadea and Quinn in the common room, Margo in the Muggle Studies Classroom, Airlia in Pendrast's cathedral, May in the library, and Rafael in the courtyard... so many new people to meet (or, in some cases, re-meet) in a day! It was a wonder he hadn't just spontaneously combusted right then and there, his purple-and-gold clothing strewn across the halls.

As he skidded to a stop in front of the Charms classroom, which happened to be next on his list of places he had to stop by, he could already hear that Professor Vernatis had entered the classroom. Crap, crap, crap... he wasn't supposed to be back, yet! Thankfully, Chad had already pre-written the letter of appreciation for the young Charms professor, so he hastily draped one of his drag flags across the door handle. Retrieving his wand, he quickly conjured a bouquet of rainbow-colored flowers with a hushed "Orchideous!", before clutching his letter and the bouquet tightly and stepping into the Charms classroom.

His gaze darted from @Alan Vanes, to @Mars T'ien, and then over to @Crystal Jagger and @Alina Rosier. Oh lord... well, he might as well get this over with. Clearing his throat uncomfortably, Chad crossed the room with wide, confident strides to step between Alan and the seemingly livid Professor, hopefully averting the man's attention for just long enough for the other students to make their escape, if they wanted to.

"Professor Vernatis?" The drag king's voice was, surprisingly, rather hushed, and had layers of respect wrapped around his tone. "Hi, hello." Touching the brim of his fedora and nodding his head respectfully at the professor, Chad flashed his most brilliant and charming smile at the man before extending his letter and the bouquet to him. Assuming that he took it (as it would be quite awkward if he didn't), Chad stepped back and his smile grew even wider. "That's for you, sir. Uh..." His gaze wandering over to the door once more, he idly wondered if Professor Vernatis would put him in a full-body bind before he was able to get the hell out of here; it was a risk he was willing to take.

"Happy Pride Month, sir!" Chad said, before darting for the door.

Hearing the floo network go off the third year froze for a moment before the initial shock melted away. His gaze was still drawn towards the opened door of the professors office as he waited for the man to step out and realize what has been done to his classroom. When he finally did step inside of his classroom Alan had to stifle a laugh that threatened to bubble up from his stomach but it was clear that he was barely keeping a straight face with how the corner of his lips just wanted to move upwards.

Of course it was him who was being addressed by the professor and that was it. In one swift movement he would slap his hand over his mouth in a sorry attempt to stop spluttering with laughter. It took him a moment to calm down as he shook his head to gather himself, the ever mischievous gleam of his eyes not leaving as he would drop his hands to his side and offer the professor a cheeky smile. His white teeth were quite prominent with how orange-y his face was looking as the color he was covered with dripped everywhere. "Good evening, sir, lovely day isn't it!", he would greet the professor acting as if he had no idea why he could ever be in such a mood, totally disregarding the fact what had been done to the classroom. He assumed that the office did not look any better even though he never actually had taken a glance at it.

"As for you questions, it is a t-tad bit complicated but I am hiding here from @Caradoc Browne. He would also be to blame for", he explained and then motioned at himself with a gesture that included his body, "-this" he would explain as a matter of fact. But Alan only knowing one place where the man could have flooed to, would try to quickly change the topic as he was sure the man might try to hex him if he continued to bait him with these answers. "Have you been seeing Yuya? How is he?", perhaps a personal question could lighten the mood? Possibly the opposite but Alan really wished to know, he missed his younger friend.

Alan would see a familiar face enter and leave within a flash as they left behind an envelope. Suspicious yet curious Alan would stare at the white envelope [whether it was on a table or in Artemis' hands] before his gaze trailed back to the professor's face, offering yet another innocent smile. Did Alan actually expect this to work? With a little bit of hope for sure.

Jake looked around the colorful mess that had used to be the Charms classroom and stared back at the paint-covered Alan in shock. He still had no idea what was going on, but Alan's smile was contagious and even though he splattered paint on Jake's robes and face, Jake remembered about the cleaning charms and didn't get upset. In fact, he soon found a smile on his own face, and when he saw Tiger leaving little paw prints like he was stuck in an episode of Blues Clues, Jake couldn't help but giggle, putting a hand over his mouth.

"What's going ON out there?" he asked Alan, looking back at the door they'd escaped through. Alan was right! If that was what the heads of houses were doing then they'd been lucky to escape when they had. But it wasn't safe in here either, and soon it wasn't just paint but glitter that blew all over them thanks to @Mars T'ien, which left Jake wide-eyed and staring. When he turned and saw Alan with so much paint and glitter all over him looking like some sort of life-sized art project he couldn't stop his laughing.

The person who had glittered them asked Alan what was with everything. Jake didn't really know what WAS with everything, and was hoping to find out the answer, when suddenly he heard a man's voice. Professor Vernatis was home.

Jake looked up, still smiling, until he noticed the look in his eye and heard his tone of voice. A pit formed in the young Hufflepuff's stomach, as he heard their Professor say something he had never heard from a grown-up: the H-word. The sound of that forbidden word sobered the mood very quickly, and Jake's giggles died in an instant.

Professor Vernatis was mad

Slowly, the first-year looked around at the messy classroom. This wasn't a joke anymore, or fun and games. Jake hadn't even thrown any paint, but he was now covered in it, and the office was covered, and Alan was covered most of all and even though Professor Browne had been having a good time, it seemed like the paint was only allowed in the hall - not in here.

Shame filled the boy as he stared at the ground, his whole body slumping. Professor Vernatis had asked what 'you kids' had done to his office, and 'you kids' included Jake. Jake hadn't thrown any paint, or glitter. But Professor Vernatis didn't know that. Professor Vernatis was going to think he did. He was gonna think he was a troublemaker, a bad kid, even if he wasn't. It was that thought more than any that made Jake's lip quiver. Maybe he was a bad kid. He hadn't told them to stop it, had he? Or gotten a grown-up for help? No...he had laughed about it. Professor Vernatis was going to hate him. The boy looked up and stared guiltily at their professor looking like he just might cry.

He felt the awful sinking feeling when you realize that you've done something wrong, and were about to get in trouble. Were they going to get a detention? Were they gonna tell his Mum and Dad? Jake wanted to say something but his mouth was stuck shut and he couldn't manage a word. This was when they were supposed to say sorry. But that wasn't what Alan did. That wasn't what Alan did at all.

Jake turned his head and stared in shock at the older boy. What was he doing? He was...smiling? Alan really HAD gone crazy. Horrified, Jake watched as he greeted the professor like nothing was wrong, blamed Professor Browne, and then asked the Professor about his day. It was like he didn't even care that Professor Vernatis was mad or like he didn't even notice! The little badger squirmed with discomfort, and began tugging anxiously on the Gryffindor's clothes. He was gonna get himself in even bigger trouble! He had to stop talking!!

The door to the office rang with an all too audible click. Mars pivoted on the spot, forgetting their question to the boy with the cat, and watched as Professor Vernatis entered, a look of shock on his face. It wasn't shock for long. It morphed into a cool kind of anger, a focused one, all directed at the paint-covered boy in the center. Mars honed in on it immediately. Hmm... there was probably something there they didn't know about, seeing as the professor's eyes went straight to the Gryffindor.

The Charm's teacher made quite a picture, chewing out the boy who had just entered. They had to laugh, covering their mouth to muffle the sounds before ducking out of his sight. Mr. Vanes, as Vernatis had called him, seemed to be holding up well on his own. But the boy next to him looked to be on the verge of tears. He tugged at Vanes' clothing frantically, as if trying to get him to stop. Mars was about to step in when a very disgruntled looking—drag king? entered the room.

He had a bouquet of flowers and a white envelope which he [shoved into the professor's hands or place on the table], then left in a hurry. Probably wise, seeing the look of murder in Professor Vernatis' eyes. The room seemed to quiet after that. No one had really answered the professor's question. The Hufflepuff boy still looked miserable. Vanes was smiling, covered in paint and glitter, globs of it still falling to the mess covered floor, though his eyes had drifted to the envelope and back. Mars figured they should take some sort of responsibly and say something, though leaving the lion to fend for himself would have been a treat in itself.

"Professor!" they exclaimed lightly, "Didn't think you'd be back so soon. We were uh..." they looked around the classroom, "Remodeling." That seemed like the best answer.

"I don't really have an explanation for the glitter or the drawing or the desk but you can blame it all on Cy if you want. It was her pride month celebration idea." Honestly, throwing their Transfiguration professor under the bus seemed like the best idea. They stared for a moment at the drawing and then offhandedly mentioned, "I didn't know you had long hair."

They directed a sharp smile at the man, flipping their wand up into the air. "That basically sums it up. You can go back to chewing him out now, although he was like, the last to arrive. But I brought cake and I'd like to eat it, so maybe hurry that along." At that, they directed their smile from the professor to the Hufflepuff boy. It'd be a real shame if he cried during Pride Month.

They pointed over their shoulder at the small spread of food laid out on the hot pink desk. "I didn't catch your name, but if you want, I could use some help cutting that. I think your friend will be okay, the professor won't kill him."
