Beginning of a New Adventure Open to First Years

After the Sorting Ceremony, Eleanor left the Great Hall and looked around. So this was it; she was nervous and excited, even though her father had told her multiple times what Hogwarts was like before she got her letter.

Eleanor looked around when she came out of the Great Hall. She hoped she'd be able to find another first-year she'd be able to eventually form a friendship with, as they'd share classes and then also get to know each other.

Eleanor also wondered how many other First Years and friends over the next 7 Years she'd make friends with. Would she get along with all of them? Would she make enemies? Would she eventually find love in her 5th Year?

Eleanor wondered how other First Years grew up, and whether they liked the house they were all sorted into. As for Eleanor, she was happy with her sorting result; she felt Gryffindor suited her, as she was often reckless, brave, and usually jumped into situations without thinking, which was something her mother always warned her about. Eleanor wondered if she'd meet someone the opposite of her, or someone who she'd click with right away and someone to call a best friend. She couldn't wait to explore Hogwarts.

After the Sorting Ceremony had ended and I was sorted into Hufflepuff, I walked out of the Great Hall. I stared at the immense ceiling of the Entrance Hall above me, and quietly wondered if this was my day to make friends.
The Entrance Hall was quite small compared to the Great Hall, but still looked like a place where royalty would come to meet. It was that beautiful and grand.
I walked around the Hall, my eyes fixed on the ceiling with my mouth wide open, taking in all the intricate little details of this wonderful place, while pondering my journey at Hogwarts for the next 7 years; Will I make friends? Enemies? Will I have a few best friends or a whole crowd of lovers? The questions all caused a racket in my head, echoing and echoing until I had a severe headache.
I teared my stare from the ceiling and looked at the room around me, all while pacing slowly across the room while my footsteps echoed in the large place.
I stared at the floor while I continued walking, not exactly looking where I was going and where I was not.
Suddenly I bumped into someone, a girl.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." I apologized to her "My name is Amanda, what's yours?"

Eleanor had been looking around the Great Hall, pacing around the same spot. It seemed like many people had found friends already or were talking to each other. The returning students had all talked to their closest friends they had met in their Year or their seniors, which they already knew from the previous year and Eleanor almost thought she’d meet no other First Year or anyone really until she bumped into another First Year girl who seemed to be a Hufflepuff from her robes.

When the other girl, Amanda it seemed apologised and introduced herself to Eleanor and asked for her name, "It's okay, I almost thought, I wouldn't meet anyone else as I've been standing here for a long time and it seems like everyone has formed their own friendship groups." Eleanor said chuckling a little, offering Amanda her hand to steady herself since she had bumped into Eleanor. "I'm Eleanor Livia Fairchild, First Year Gryffindor. My father's an well known Auror and my mother's a well known Healer at St Mungo’s, I have a twin sister and she's sorted into Hufflepuff, her name is Aurora and I'm only 3 minutes older than her." Eleanor introduced herself to Amanda.

Thoughts/Speech/Eleanor
"Oh hi Eleanor! Nice to meet you! I'm sure we will be very good friends." I said to the kind girl who offered me her hand. Her name was Eleanor. I took it and helped myself up, then left it. After all, I've known her for two minutes at the very most. We started strolling around. I started telling her a bit about myself. "I'm a first year Hufflepuff, even though I wanted to become a Gryffindor or a Ravenclaw. I was a bit disappointed when the Sorting Hat called out Hufflepuff, but still, it's nice, it's nice. Oh, I'm sorry if I talk a bit too much, it's one of my weaknesses. Anyways I have a sister by the name of Alice, she graduated already from Hogwarts, and a brother Ted, still learning here, and another sister Helena. She didn't start Hogwarts yet." I paused a second to cough, and it looked like Eleanor was relieved. I couldn't be sure though. I continued droning on and on about this and that while we walked along, and suddenly I remembered the Feast. "Hey, um, what did you say your name was? Oh right, Eleanor. Don't you think we should get back to the feast, Eleanor? It's probably almost over."
