An Unfortunate Event
Had it been days, since last time he had left this bed or was it just mere hours ago? Neculai wondered as scarlet eyes were observing his surroundings. Time had a strange way of slowing down in this confined space in Hogwarts. How the Dhampir even had managed to get to the Hospital Wing was a mystery to him... Or if he had even gotten here by himself at all...
The Romanian boy couldn't remember anything other than blood. A red liquid, that was important to all life on this planet. Something innocent by its right, yet something that was a necessity to the sustenance of the Dhampir. He had smelled it from across the field as soon as Erik had hit the Gryffindor. At that moment in time, everything the Dhampir had known about his life was about to change... Drastically. A hunger, that was so deep, so pure and all-consuming, had caught him off guard. A hunger that drove all thoughts out of his skull for one thought to remain. Clear and resonating like a morning sun... BLOOD!!!!
Everything the Ravenclaw boy had believed about himself had come to an abrupt ending. He had believed himself to be a wizard. Not much different than any other kid, except for the fact that he from time to time had to feed himself with blood. Some had believed him to be a monster. But he had always believed that the distinguishing factor between him and a monster was that of self-control. Neculai chose when he fed. Yet that distinguishing factor had melted like snow from the sun.
A tiny drop of blood had caused him to lose any kind of self-control. The thought of it ashamed him, his otherwise so calm, calculating, and caring personality had in a matter of seconds made a place for his predator side. A side he had always wanted to hide. Not because he was ashamed for his heritage, no he was proud of who he was and where he came for. The second year just had a feeling that 'outsiders' wouldn't be able to understand.
As he recollected his thoughts of what had transpired after that he suddenly yelled it out as he remembered the intense burning and searing of his flesh. Fingers pressed against his face and he felt some sort of ointment on it. As he looked at his arms and hands some places were bandaged. Hopefully, the injuries he had sustained wouldn't stay with him. As he was certain this feeling of disgust and shame that accompanied this memory would certainly stay with him forever. The pale boy stayed in the hospital bed. Turning his head towards the wall, hoping he would fall asleep once again, so he could temporarily escape this feeling... Temporarily escape himself...

Alan still was not quite sure how he should think about what happened the previous day. He did not blame Neculai of course, but what happened was quite worrisome. He knew however that it in no way was in the Ravenclaw's control and all this worried him for his sake. He had wondered how the dhampir, as he now knew, was doing and if he was feeling any better. Was he okay? He knew that Aurelia had been more or less okay, she probably got a Blood Replenishing potion and had her wound treated but he heard that Neculai had to stay over the night. Aurelia and him had agreed to go visit him but Alan actually had no idea when she was planning to come by so he simply went to see the Ravenclaw on his own.
Softly he would let his knuckles rap against the door of the infirmary before pushing it open, peeking inside. The blinds were lowered, blocking out any sun light that could have found its way to the infirmary, the light was dimmed even though the surroundings were clearly visible, a little grayed due to the lack of direct light perhaps. Alan would search around until he would find the only occupied bed in the room and swallowed nervously. "N-Neculai?", he would call out softly as if to draw his attention to himself. Alan was not scared of him, nor was he concerned about Neculai going rogue. He trusted the kid and he was sure that he had been treated well. But what was Alan supposed to say in a situation like this? He had no clue, so he just took one of the chairs he could find in the room and push it closer to the bed Neculai must have slept on the previous night. "H-How are y-you f-feeling?", he asked, wondering about the others well-being not just physically but also mentally. As of now the boy was not facing him, so he waited as he took a seat.
He also brought Tiger even though he had no idea if they were allowed in here. But the nurse was not present at the very moment so it was not like they could say anything about it anyway. The big kitten would jump onto the unoccupied bed next to Neculai and curl into a ball of fur and fluff.

An Unfortunate Event
Tossing and turning the Dhampir had a restless sleep. He got what he wished for and for a few moments he wasn't thinking of it... Yet, he was dreaming of it. Reliving the entire scene, yet this wasn't just a dream as he was feeding upon the Gryffindor boy. The Ravenclaw boy woke up bathing in sweat, he had had a nightmare. As he woke he was still in the hospital bed and not in his familiar bed in his dorm, he hoped he could soon return there as he was eager to forget why he was here at all. Laying in a darkened part of the hospital to make sure he wouldn't get any more burns he turned towards the wall. Once again he would try to sleep.
But then just on the threshold of crossing into the dream world, he woke up by some knocking. It followed up by the door opening and then closing, with footsteps walking towards his bed. "Probably one of the nurses." The pale boy thought to himself, as then the unknown person called his name. Recognizing the voice, he at first thought it was a mistake. Yet, as he turned to face the visitor he saw that he was right. The Gryffindor boy who he had met once on the Quidditch Training Field and then in the SWAG club had come to see him. It seemed that he was worried about his well being? Neculai couldn't possibly understand why the Gryffindor had come to see him. They weren't friends as they had only interacted once before, yet he was here. Was he sent by the other Gryffindor to take him off guard? Who knows... Suspiciously Neculai answered. "H-hello... I-I uh, been better." With that he put on the worst fake smile he could possibly muster, to only quickly realize that he was showing the gaps between his teeth and embarrassedly looked down at the sheet he was under. His hands started to fumble with the corner, as a sign that he was nervous.

Alan would lightly smile at the boy as he watched him turn, but his smile quickly turned into a frown when he saw all of the burns that covered the dhampirs face and he could not help but feel bad for the other kid. For once as he saw the other kid smile he knew exactly what the gaps meant as he had seen the teeth in action. Alan had little idea how that even worked but who was he to judge, if he could literally change his appearance at will. He had gotten quite well at making changes to his appearance but still lacked a lot of control in not making changes if he did not wish to make them. But perhaps he would have livelong troubles with that even though he really hoped it would change or at least get easier eventually.
"H-Hey...", he would return the greeting in a weak whisper as he forced himself to return the smile and nodded; he definitely did not look that good with the condition he was in but he also did not want to push this more than necessary. "H-How long w-will i-it take you t-to heal?" the metamorph wondered, worry written all over his face as he let his gaze wander over the damage that had been done to the second year. "I o-ought t-to warn you th-that Aurelia wanted t-to visit t-too, I g-guess she is w-worried as well?" he hummed and tried to closely watch Neculai's reaction to this bit of information. He did not wish to make the other kid uncomfortable, so if her presence could do that he would offer Neculai to not let her enter. He knew that the other must be feeling incredibly guilty, he looked it. But Alan was positive that there was no reason for the dhampir to blame himself as the situation had been out of his control and both Aurelia and himself had been victims in that situation.

An Unfortunate Event
One would not have expected someone like Aurelia to found a club of spells and games, neither would Aurelia have expected to organise such activities that she herself would not have joined if it had been another than herself hosting such games. The Monster Hunter did have a reason, definitely. Spells, wands and games, S.W.A.G as her members preferred to call it for short, was an incentive drawing those non-humans through the means of sport and fun. It clearly worked, since the first game, Aurelia had been scrutinising her members as they flew on brooms and cast spells and trying to identify non-humans and study what they were capable of. It had worked surprisingly well… until yesterday’s game of Two Flags.
Disappointment. Not at anyone but at herself. As monster hunter overseeing the game, she should have been more prepared. However, in a span of less than a couple of minutes into the game, more than one life had been endangered despite her efforts at doing what she could to provide a safe environment for her members to enjoy themselves. Rules were implemented for a reason and the layout of the game defined them, yet they were bypassed. On the contrary, in all honesty, she would have expected nothing less of an outcome for such an activity. Unfortunately, In the situation of a blood crazed dhampir, intervention was necessary, not only for the safety of those humans around, but for the sake of the dhampir’s own sanity. Unbeknownst to most, even their own kind, the intake of unwilling blood was detrimental to the dhampir.
Aurelia had done all she could last evening to avoid more hiccups. Although she would rather have stayed in the hospital wing to interrogate the Dhampir on his state of mind, it was ideal that they both got some rest. Neculai had remained in the confinement of the hospital wing to recover while the monster hunter returned to her dormitory after getting treated from the wound along her forearm she was once bleeding heavily out of. Aurelia woke up the next day to a new scar where she was bitten and a sore arm. The third-year made her way up to the hospital wing, only to find that Alan, the gryffindor third year boy whom she had agreed to meet was already by the dhampir’s bedside.
Although she understood how friendship worked, it was not quite safe for Alan, not when she had yet to know if the dhampir was sane or if his soul and humanity was still intactter consuming her blood. Granted, Aurelia had willingly let the dhampir feed from her, but she could never be too careful with how these strange peculiar concepts worked. However, she did not bother to tell the Gryffindor boy off, only finding her place and standing beside him. Neculai seemed alright, on the exterior at least. Pleasantries aside, Aurelia needed to know what Neculai did if she were to help him. The last thing she wanted to hear about were students mauled along the hallways because they had simply scraped their knee. She’d brought a few bloodpops for the matter.
“Neculai, are you still hungry - for blood that is?” the monster hunter asked in a pleasant, lovely tone of voice in an attempt to appear anything but hostile. With a small movement of her hand, she tucked a lock of light brown hair behind her earlobe. If Neculai, or Alan for that matter, were keen enough, they would be able to see an menacing scar cradled on the crook of her neck, the cause undoubtedly from a fanged creature. Of course, it had not crossed her mind that she had just revealed to both of the boys a feature of hers which she would usually have been extremely conscious about. Perhaps Aurelia had been in such a rush that morning that she had forgotten to conceal her scars with a thick blanket of make-up.
“During the game, the blood from Rafael’s wounds must have triggered your instincts. You remember that don’t you? If it weren’t for my intervention by offering my own arm, someone else might have gotten badly hurt, and consequences would have followed.” for the purpose of relieving the dhampir’s memories, the third year had explained. “There is something that happens when your kind consumes unwilling blood. It is in your nature, but it is crucial that you learn to control it.” Her slender fingers disappeared into the pocket of her gryffindor robes and emerged with a handful of crimson red lollies nestled in her palm which she extended to Neculai to take. Bloodpops.
